55F and cloudy @ 21:30, headed down to an overnight low of 40F.

Fish all fed, some of them multiple times. About half the S. fryeri fry were about 1/2 way up the egg tumbler tube when a I was down there a few minutes ago ... so they are getting very close to being free swimming.

A little more kitchen clean up.

Trash and recycles run up to the cans at the road.

Upper and lower fronts mowed, back and sides about 75% done ... (y)

Witnessed a pair of bluebirds that were attempting to claim the northern most nest box attack and drive off about four house sparrows. Their (the bluebirds) mid-air attacks were impressive.

Inspired me to go down and get the stake and pole for the mealworm feeder from around back and install them up in the field. Also cleaned off the mealworm feeder itself. Will need to mount it tomorrow and put out some live mealworms since it's supposed to be very cool temperature wise.

Special request for oatmeal raisin cookies ... which I will start on here in a few minutes.

Plain, mustard, or mustard and chili here ... The Woman was getting some canned chili topping at the store that was pretty good, don't recall what brand it was offhand.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

Congrats on the rapid recovery top ... and being back in more comfortable surroundings ... (y)

Yup ... mustard, relish, and onions ... and cheese. At bare minimum, mustard and cheese.
I always add mustard and cole slaw, and chili if we have any. I'll have to try some cheese. I still remember the first hot dog I ever ate that had cole slaw...a little country store outside of Durham, NC...blew me away. Hard to believe I could still have such a vivid memory of something so simple 45 years later.

I’m home! Already had a nap in my recliner after some insta pot turkey cutlets with carrots.
I’m tired after a day of jumping through more hoops than a trained dolphin. Approvals for IV meds through my PICC line, for home health nurse, from the infectious disease specialist, regular doctor, getting two sets of “final vitals” because it took so long, but meds were delivered and refrigerated an appointment with home care nurse.

But hey, I’m home, last Wednesday which I remember little if, I wasn’t sure I’d ever see home again.

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes they really help!
Like I've said before...you're a tough ole Tar Heel!

Good evening all. 39F for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Moderate wind today, sky cleared off and high temp was 74F. Cold front coming through, no rain but temps 15F colder :( slow start, got boat launched and on lake 4 1/2 hours. Removed about 100-120 carp from lake, the guys doing the fish survey said they could tell the difference after only 1 year of carp removal effort. Nap after parking boat in driveway :).
Covid update: Cooke, Montague unchanged, Grayson, 11177 confirmed cases, 33 active cases, local not updated.
Roy naps are good for you :)
Bill have fun with your projects.
Buppies thank you for your prayers
Eric hope your grass is growing, the sheep are working you hard to keep them together
Drew that is quite the oil sucker
Thomas enjoy your unplanned day
Billy pickle juice works well too. I like mustard for instant relief, pickle juice for prevention.
Paul safe trip if you take it hope shop time is productive
RNG sorry back not happy with you, glad you found issue with gate sensor and solar panel. Is that the one that charges your gate battery? Good luck with #2 vaccine, and getting more pallets
Drew if they make veggie hot dogs would the be any healthier? considering what some of the veggie meat substitutes are like may not accomplish the healthier part.
Buppies there is a fly in the ointment far to often.
PJ glad you got a day to conserve energy. nice kayak pics.
Ken good to hear progress in spite of rain like the pic of your boss
RS sounds like fish tanks are getting clean, hope you get as much done today.

It is great to hear that you made it home and into your own recliner. I can definitely understand how you feel, as I was there not too long ago. I still remember how good it felt to be home and pet my dog for the first time in months.

Yea Randy, you are back home!!!!(y)

(Thats good, because even though I thought the Mars helicopter could pick up 400 lbs on earth it must be reduced by Mars 3/8th gravity so really on earth the helicopter can only pick up 151 pounds.)
Edit, opps forgot to subtract the weight of the helicopter, 4 pounds, so that's 147 earth pounds)

40 right now...high in the mid-50's today...

Had to go to the store after work for a few odds and ends. If it's decent weather when I get home today, think I'll do some more aerating the lawn...

Happy you're home, Randy....

good morning all
Ran out of decaf, made a pot of straight Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, my is that good.
it was on sale with some Kona coffee, both of which are usually too expensive for me to buy but this was a
nice treat.

going to be a warm day today, in low 70's and then colder weather returns, might have to throw a sheet over the garden for one night.

got my oil changes done, unit worked great, though my hand pumping seemed to work just as fast as the compressor air alternative.

am off to endocrinologist early this morning, checking on hormone levels that haven't been right since I had chemo. That stuff definitely
messes up your body, but the price of progress I guess.

all my flowers are planted, place looks much better, can't wait until mulch comes and it all looks finished. Tulips are starting to bloom, need to spray
them again with deer repellant. Those two deer eaten evergreens in the front garden are coming out this week, being replaced with boxwood.

Toppop, marvelous news that you are home. Take it slow, be happy.

I only buy Hebrew National hotdogs. But we don’t eat them often. No mustard for me. Ketchup and relish.
With all this talk of hotdogs I guess I need to try the Hebrew Nationals. So far, the Ball Park are the best I've found. Many years ago, when I still played golf (but very poorly), it seemed that every golf course club house had good hotdogs, so we'd get one after 9 holes before starting the back nine; just mustard and pickle relish.

Since we lived for a relatively short time in Baltimore, MD when I was a baby my parents said anytime you ordered a hotdog there, they asked, "With or without kraut?" They said sauerkraut on a hotdog was normal back east in the early '40s, but unheard of in southern Oklahoma. Anyway, I developed a taste for it, and when we have hotdogs at home now I still like to stuff mine with sauerkraut. Of course I buy the smallest can of sauerkraut on the shelves at the grocery store since my wife won't touch the stuff and doesn't even like to smell it.:D:D:D

My doggie heard us coming in the door and met me in the utility room and nearly knocked me down. When it came time for her late outdoor visit, she came to me and wouldn’t go with Ellen.

I like a good old Reuben with kraut.
