I came near you this morning about 5 30 am on 70; hit 81 S and there was a big wreck on the northbound lanes, traffic was backed up about 12 miles then... can't imagine it got any better. I've gotta find a better route than 81, but I don't believe there is much choice.

Did you go I70w to I81s?

I always take Rt340 south to Va7w to Winchester, to get to I81s from here. Much quicker than taking I70w to I81s. Just depends on where you coming from. They have been working on I81 bridge over the Potomac, always backed up.

73 now a little coastal breeze now and again, feels good it's a bit humid. Haven't been doing much this week just enjoying the weather and trying out some of the summer beers sitting outside. The ticks are brutal so far this year, just sitting out watching the grill I've found 3 or 4 on my clothes, hate them things. Hate to start using stuff on my clothes we've been thinking on a new kitty, it's been 2yrs since we lost the last one. She was a sweet heart.View attachment 694170
That looks like my Smokie. Lost her two years ago this fall.

Re: Studebakers, the closest I came to one was a 55 Packard Clipper Super Panama. 320 cu inches and 4 bbl carb and twin Ultramatic transmission. She was a cruiser and did many round trips to Toronto from Miami, Fla. After I got it, it did many trips to Oswego, NY for the super modified races.

Speaking of cats, our neighbors 3 legged cat lives at our house because of their dog. She was out on the back deck while I was starting the grill. The tank felt about empty, so I went around house and grabbed a full tank. When I came up the deck stairs, it scared her, she went thru the railing and took a flying leap to the ground about 6 ft below, and took off running to my shed. I hope she didn’t hurt herself.

We are down to two indoor cats, and they are getting old.

61F and light rain @ 22:45, but it will probably be pouring in a few if what the radar is showing holds up.

Decided to mow entire the front again today, mainly to chop off the dandelion flowers before they go to seed. Probably got 75% of them ... but I'm sure the ones remaining will be coming on strong in a couple of days.

No further weeding done today. Did get hubs ordered though.

Fed fish after that, then finished sanding on the barn owl nest box ... just need to vacuum it off and can start slapping on the BLO.

We finished off the last of The Woman's ham and bean soup for dinner.

I had found a couple of good movies the other night so we watched one of those (The Kindness of Strangers) as we ate. The other one (The Bookshop) starts a little slower ... so my guess on which one to watch tonight was correct: she got sucked in almost immediately ... ;)

Thinking tonight might be sheetcake night.

Rain is starting to come down harder and I hear rumbles of thunder.

That’s one of the issues I had with it, the lawyer just added a sentence that said your property and accounts are in the trust.
Everything I’ve read says that isn’t sufficient. When I questioned it, the lawyer said it was sufficient.

It was also a revocable trust, which does nothing to protect assets to Medicaid. However, I’m not sure I want a non revocable at this point. That’s a tough decision.
I was able to convince my parents years ago to establish wills and trusts.

Mine did have contestability section.

My understanding is certain types of assets like property should be deeded in trust name, some financial accounts also titled in trust name, other property such as personal property can just be collectively mentioned, but also listed as addendum. That’s pretty much how we approached it.
We aren’t wealthy enough for non revocable, hence the revocable that needs updating.
As for Medicaid etc, I think there is a 5 year look back as well.

Good morning, the low was 59°F and going up to 72. Wind ENE 13 mph. 40% chance of showers.

Brought the DIL home from the hospital yesterday, she went there by ambulance at 2:30 in the morning, I didn't hear a thing even though I am in the next room. Her iron count was down to 2. Blood pressure was 70/10, according to the guys with the ambulance. 3 bags of blood and she was good to come home.

Yesterday I got the conveyor fired up and oiled the chain, also finally got the wire wheel cup off the angle grinder and a cutting disk on. Now I don't have any excuse not to do the custom work to the conveyor running gear. I will do that today if it doesn't rain.

I've got two lawnmowers to service and their blades to sharpen. I might have to buy a new battery for the ride on, I will try charging it first and go from there.
That is my day layed out for me.

Have a safe day all

Good morning, snow is melting, white over most of the tightly grazed fields while neighbours with longer grass are showing green.

These lambs had found a warm spot, though did look slightly guilty - I am sure that gate post wasn't leaning quite as badly yesterday !

good morning all. No snow here but plenty of rain, light rain out now, continuing all day, mid sixties

dishwasher failed yesterday while I was out gardening. Dumped entire load of water on kitchen floor which then went into
basement, which thankfully was concrete floor so no damage. Old dishwasher, landlord agreed, she ordered a new one which will be in next week.
Next will be replacing the stove and fridge which are also old and beat up.

good idea to think about what is directly below your dishwasher if this happens to you...
