L4N,

Sorry to hear of DIL's diagnosis. Hope they can come up with a workable solution for pain management.

Good morning to all! Low of 54, already up to 63 outside, going for a high of 72. Breezes have started already, currently 15-20. Red flag warning starting by 11 am, gusts 50-55 mph, humidity 5-10%.... bad conditions.

woke up quite a few times last night, but finding a position of comfort seemed to be a little easier. This morning the swelling was substantially reduced along with the pain. ---- for a change!

Fortunately, no more PT until next week, after the Dr's visit. I still move around the house and walk around outside with a cane in addition to "home exercises". The big difference is I can do them at my leisure....not set to a timer....

Eric, really cool wood carving, looks almost real! Thanks for the link.

Drew, don't feel bad about the plants, we have "been there, done that" many times.... hard to anticipate what Mother Nature wants to do.....

RNG, I hope you can close the doors and windows on the wind and dry conditions.....

Everyone have a great day!

66F and sunny @ 10:45, headed up to a high of 79F for the day.

These sort of high temps are more typical of June, rather than April.

Daffodils and forsythia are still in bloom. Think I even see some white daffodils showing up, which are new.

The Squeak is on safari again out in the garage.

Agenda for the day:

Let downstairs cat up for a visit (done)

Feed the downstairs fish this morning as that didn't happen yesterday.

Put on pallet forks on Kubota and retrieve MMM from pole barn.

Grease FEL.

Check other fluids on Kubota. 2290 hours on the clock.

Grease MMM, check oil in gearbox, and inspect blades (should be good, IIRC)

Maybe continue with some more soil/compost screening.

Wood pile up next to the shop has partially fallen over, so some restacking might be in order.

Still have some brush/hosta along the west side of the shop that needs dug up. Will have to see if the hosta have emerged yet or not, if not hold off until they do.

The Woman has an appointment for her second dose of the Pfizer vaccine this afternoon.

Could put MMM on and turn her loose on the lawn after she gets back, but might wait until tomorrow to do that as I suspect she have some other running around to do while she's out and about today.

Supposed to be fairly warm this evening, so probably light off that burn pile around dark.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Good morning, low temp 36, high 59°F. Wind E 11 mph. Sunny!

Got some nasty news yesterday, the DIL has 3 months to live at most. They (the doctors) are guessing it is cancer. She is bleeding somewhere and they can't tell where. Guessing the small intestine, which normally (if you can call it that) is non operable. She has been in constant pain since 2006. She was on morphine until it made her physically sick even with gravol, so that was the end of that. Tylenol doesn't touch the pain, morphine makes her sick so they gave her something else. The doctors are a little reluctant to shell out Oxycontin.

A town run is in the cards for today.

Have a safe day all

Sorry about DIL. Hope they find something for the pain.

62°F and 4.54 inches rain. 84.65 ytd. A bit soggy.

Sophie has ophthalmologist appointment this morning. Doesn’t see the Dr, but measurements. I think for her cataract procedure.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Morning... high of 48 today, light rain till 1400 hrs which has thrown my plans of going to get a root cellar off.
Weekend warrior neighbor who bought a tractor thinks busting up the silt stone, clay road and spreading it out without compacting it is the way to get rid of ruts out here. Maybe work on a flat surface road but not 20% grade ridge.
Now it's like powder and if it rains hard enough it will be slurry of erosion running down the hills and ridges taking what rock is left. The guy only comes out here once a month on weekends lives in the city in next state over and does this several times a year, I need to stop him somehow. Towing 50k lbs up the grade is just going to slide backwards and I don't feel like putting snow chains on all 8 wheels again, I just took them off.

57° and cloudy this morning, going up to 81° today.

Thanks for the compliments on the pond. It took entirely too long and too much aggravation to get there, but we're happy with it.

Busy day at work today. Everyone is being especially needy.

That is sad news about your DIL, L4N. Hope they can find a better solution.
