daugen, I always reduce the size of pics down to about 300 or 400 bits. (bytes) 8.55 mB is way too big for online posting. My computer /internet would take about 3 minutes to open the pic so I don't even look at them. A 300 bit opens straight away. There are easy ways to reduce pic sizes before posting them.

does this site offer file size/resolution choices or is it all in the settings on the camera? Which default to 8meg.

I do the same thing, Doug. I reduce all of my iPhone 10 pics down to 25% of the original size for posting. Upload is much faster, and they open quicker.

I have my iPhone camera set to “most compatible “ which stores as jpeg. The default is “High efficiency “ uses HEIF format.
Even at this, My iPhone is out of memory with just over a year of pics, wish I had gotten large memory phone.

I'm on Verizon and upgraded phones last year;
retired my old Motorola Moto and bought a new Motorola Moto G power,
when it arrived in the mail I tried using Verizons on line service to switch
then ended up on a help chat that was anything but,
Send in both phones and we will put a new sim in the new phone,
the more I thought about what I was getting feed and what they wanted to charge.
I said to heck with turned the phones off pulled the sim from the active one shoved it in the new one,
turned it on and it worked all my phone numbers transfered over, the on line bill and a couple of functions took a couple of days and all of sudden every thing was fine and the new phone model and all showed up on my billing.
Never got a charge for any changes.
I had done a phone backup to my computer but I'm not sure that it worked properly, except for the pictures that I had transferred to the computer.

You can backup iPhone to a pc using iTunes.
Then you can restore to a new iPhone.

I survived the molar extraction. The grinding for the partial bridge was tough. Little sore tonight.

Didn’t feel bad so went to work. Ended up with a couple of hot potatoes thrown my way. Both are handled.

We have had a few near whiteouts this evening. Ground is covered.

Internet provider never returned my calls about it not being fixed. It is off now, kept dropping. Using the phone hot spot. Which actually works decent.

I haven’t been on iTunes in a long time, I back up to the cloud and restore/transfer from the cloud or my old phone. It’s quick and easy. When your setting up a new phone it walks you through it. I usually order my new phones and they come with the SIM card for my account.

When I transferred from Android to iPhone last year there was a transfer app that worked very well.
Im doing an iTunes backup of my phone now. It’s not just for music.

I d'load all my pics to computer (PC) and use a program called paint.NET to reduce iphone pics to 25% and Android pics to 20%. I sit the re-sized pic on my desktop until I upload it and then delete it from the PC. If I want to save it I have an external hard drive where I keep all that stuff. There should be a selection in your camera of photo size choice as well. Here is a grab of the resizer in paint.NET.

Happy Birthday to me! (No fooling.)

My (non-twin) sister’s birthday, too. And my TA’s birthday - her birthday present is her first shot of the Pfizer vaccine today - LOL.

My birthday present is the Wife driving up from the city with a nice Turkey for Easter. Plus her and the kid prolly have a few surprise presents in store for me.

Meanwhile, SNOW last nite! I thought it was supposed to be over. Not enough to plow or anything, but maybe I should leave the blower on the tractor a bit longer?

It is not unheard of for us to get significant snowfalls in April. The snow doesn't stay for too long.
