Wishing you many many more trips around the sun Check.
When it comes to firewood, don't you wish trees were just one long, straight grained trunk?Thomas, a very appropriate April Fool's trick for you.
We got 1.63" of rain, a lot more than the .50 forecasted. It'll be some time before I want to cross the creek bottom with my tractor to get back to my firewood, RNG, so I'll enjoy looking at yours in the meantime. I did have a lot of straight rounds from the trunk, but plenty of crooked ones from the many branches, most of which I brought up to the pallets already.
It's nice to be in control of your fire, rather than mother nature and the power company, right RNG? I'll have to ask my wife if she's named our lizards and skinks, which don't crawl up our leg, but do hang out with us on the porch eating the wren's mealworms.
Hope they are all non cancerous. Prayers.Yes, go! I had 4 biopsies plus 5 squirts. Problems can go from treatable to major quickly.
Sorry about your neighbor. I hate cancer. I pray often for cures and healing.Morning all!
43 here going to 50's with dark dreary skies for the day.
Cold and windy in the forecast so conserving energy is where it's at!
Feeling better as I got some sleep last night. Arm is sore but survivable.
If they told me a tetanus shot and a pneumonia shot at the same time would kick your butt I would have waited on one of them!
Looks like wife and I will be venturing out to do some shopping. We need to restock some supplies in case of another lockdown.
Still have a lot of branches to pick up from the downed tree and the whole yard needs raking.
We just lost a good friend and neighbor to her 2 year fight with cancer! They made 50 years married just a few weeks ago. He's fighting cancer also!(Vietnam vet!)
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
Happy Birthday to you all!Happy Birthday to me! (No fooling.)
My (non-twin) sister’s birthday, too. And my TA’s birthday - her birthday present is her first shot of the Pfizer vaccine today - LOL.
My birthday present is the Wife driving up from the city with a nice Turkey for Easter. Plus her and the kid prolly have a few surprise presents in store for me.
Meanwhile, SNOW last nite! I thought it was supposed to be over. Not enough to plow or anything, but maybe I should leave the blower on the tractor a bit longer?
RS, nice fish.
but can it do this?
by the time you are done you are ready to throw the whole thing in the water
just to shut it up ... what I think is delightful is Al Green got more royalties from the fish singing Take Me To The Water than he did from anyone else singing his song.
And of course who could forget the Sopranos episode where this fish was the star. I found the episode....ah, nope, two ladies dancing
with not much on at the Bada Bing episode, surely not for prime time
yes thank you. I choose not to use my phone in the car, too distracting though I know hands free is the least problematic approach. Now pairing up the phone and using google maps is an interesting idea though the car has built in nav. Audi wanted 699 bucks annually, I passed. I already have Sirius XM in the car and have lots of music recorded on memory sticks, so not sure I need the music functions. If I were still working I'd be hooked up for sure, but now I'm trying to avoid most calls actually since most are robocalls anyway.Drew you do know you can hook your phone up to Audi hands free end calls via steering wheel or use voice recognition to tell car who to call or use google maps to give directions
So funny... Welcome to the world of new phones. I have a brand new Huwawei in my drawer, been there for 18 months now. I used it to take some photos once but the camera didn't perform like they promised so it stays in the drawer. I still like my old iphone SE and my wife has a iPhone 6 and until they no longer work we will keep using them. I hate setting up new phones.about to go out and cover garden but the sun is out and want them to get as much as they can before temps drop.
So...meanwhile I'm sitting here watching youtube training videos on the Iphone 12 I got this morning at verizon. My old SE was worthless.
They don't even swap numbers for you anymore. Unless you back up to the Apple Cloud, which I never have, they no longer have the machinery/software to perform
that service. This was some large franchise with thousands of offices and they stopped providing the service. I got a referral to a guy downtown a few minutes away for 50 bucks.
What was free now costs 50 bucks. Amazing. This franchise would do it for 30 if I were backed up to the Cloud. what a racket.
so I just went through my old phone and wrote down the numbers myself, took me all of ten minutes and I'll punch them back in the new phone. I am not paying anyone one nickel for that...
So I took my new phone home and am determined to understand how it works, and boy it's a whole new world out there...in complexity. I'm a very late adopter here. I did find the Do Not Disturb While Driving mode, boy will I turn that on first thing. And by squeezing the power button and volume button it brings up the HELP screen to call 911 I assume. Huge amount of functions, most of which I won't use.
And not all that much larger than my old phone, it squeezed nicely in my shirt pocket but clearly stuck out further. Bought a blue protective cover for it and got gouged 30 bucks for a no longer provided charger and oh by the way your old cable won't work either. Another 30 bucks. What a racket. Those are 10 dollar cables at most...
But now that I know what ends are on it I can find much less expensive ones on Amazon.
I also found out where the flashlight function is. Never ever found that on my old phone... let's see, slash down from right to left on 45 degree angle to
open up Settings. I can do this. I think.
And after thirty years or more with Verizon they still charge me 40 bucks to turn on a new phone.
I'm going out to see if any taters are poking up their heads. If so I'll put some potting soil on top.
Cold weather coming. Will see if these anti freeze covers work.
