Our local Regional Council bought in a fellow who tried to introduce ridiculous changes along those lines. Such as if a branch or stick fell from a tree you could not pick it up or burn it. It had to stay there for the lizards etc. Do these people even have human brains in their heads? Maybe they are reptiles? Anyway he created such a furore in the region, that Council decided that they didn't have a job for him any more. (It was easiest for them) A great relief for the ratepayers.Good morning all. This is the second calm day in a row. Whoopee, it lets me catch up with routine tree work while staying on the right side of the law. We have quite tough regulations on tree felling, if I wanted to fell more than 5 cubic metres of timber in any quarter of the year I would have to apply for a felling license. That is easy enough to work with, however on top of that, an additional agricultural rule means I can't even cut off a small branch between April and September (with not an ounce of discretion), so the pressure is always on at this time of year.
Anyone else have to look at a calendar before starting up a chainsaw ?
You have to put raw bacon on the end of a string and lower it into the hole. The crawfish will grab hold and you can pull him up slowly. These weird mud chimneys sticking up but never saw the crawfish.
