We shall see Don, mine is June 20. They said there were two sailings before mine so that makes sense starting beginning of June.
I have to pay balance by March 20 and they had nothing intelligent to tell me when I called a few days ago, they were nice but asked if I would call back.
I want to know if they are reducing passenger count in this cruise to reduce crowding and whether or not I can get a table for two at dinner.

busy day in wood shop taking advantage of lovely weather outside.
Built a blue bird house from scratch for head of my church and finally finished the owl house for my relative in Colorado.

neat pic Ken, I love to snorkel, no experience with scuba.

Thomas there are some mighty fancy chicken houses out on the market and all kinds of kits how to build your own super custom chicken digs.
Saw chicken house at TSC nothing real fancy holds maybe 4 or 5 birds $399.oo  and you would still need to paint stain also purchase fencing etc.

64F and "Fair" @ 17:00. Temps due to take a dive (25F) during the Friday overnight ... but warm again tomorrow.

Just got up from long nap couple hours ago, now back from picking up The Woman's car from the local shop. They replaced a front wheel bearing that had gone bad after only 10K miles. Was replaced last August ...

Before I had them do the work, I had picked up a wheel bearing from Autozone thinking I'd do it myself. After seeing what all was involved and given I had no lift plus other stuff going on at the time, we opted to have them do it. Ended up both front bearings needed to be replaced so we had them both done.

This time around - much to his credit - guy said that the bearing that failed was the one he had supplied (from NAPA I believe) and he went ahead and replaced it, no charge. Said the other one was "loose" and while it wasn't growling yet, it would probably need to be replaced before too long. With that sort of square dealing, he's earned our business at this point.

If we do end up getting another bearing failure after such a short interval, will probably need further investigation to see if there is something that is causing them to fail prematurely.

Cyps all seem to have settled in and are feeding voraciously ... (y)

Still need to feed all the basement dwellers ... :giggle:

Probably replace those two ballasts in the tank light fixtures and see about moving the couch over to the newly clear wall. Might even replace the dust cloth on the bottom.

Other than that, probably some evening cinema on the menu.

71 today, wow that’s good stuff. I moved one trailer and measured and marked my bucket to weld the 2” receiver on it, but I didn’t have any 24 tooth blades for the sawzall to cut the sleeve to the right length and didn’t feel like using the cutoff tool, so that little welding job will wait.
I’ve been a bit tired today for some reason. Don’t suppose it’s old age do you?

Made fajita soup this afternoon while Ellen finished up some stuff, I even made homemade nine ingredient seasoning for it, better than any store bought seasoning I ever had and only took a few minutes. That was excellent soup if I did make it.
It looked better with the tortilla strips, cheese and sour cream on top.

Now that I'm in town The price of gas does not affect the monthly expenses that much.

Once the price reaches $4 a gallon is when people start weighing in the advantages of a hybrid. I know the Tesla factory is right down the road and they cheer every time the gas goes up another quarter. It still seems too early to consider a vehicle that is completely dependent on batteries, just not enough charging stations around for a road trip. In fact there is only 1 charging station in town and it's at an apartment complex. That sounds fun sitting around an apartment complex for 30-45 minutes waiting for you car to fill-up just so you can go another ? miles.

In the works are batteries that last one million miles and go 400 miles on a charge. Get the price down to $40K and I'll reconsider.
There's a new RAV4 model that combines plug-in electric with a 4cyl/hybrid Prius type motor. I think the plug in power will take you over 40 miles before the gas engine/hybrid kicks in. 40 miles is probably enough for you to get shopping done and back home to plug in. I believe it prices in the upper 40s.

Yes it would be a long trip on snow tires. So I'll swap them off and save them for the next couple of years.
I detest driving on I95 from well before DC and well after it.
Therefore I add a couple of extra hours to my drive with a lot less aggravation,
NY I88 to I81 follow 81 down into Virginia then I64 back across.
Lets me avoid NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, I do have a bit of traffic around Richmond but not bad.
More nice scenery and usually less traffic and aggravation, then I stop for the night in Harrisonburg or Staunton
unless I feel like pushing a few more hours. One time just for the heck of it I did the trip without using hardly any interstate
highways took me a bit over three days but was a nice trip.

I do I81 route also. You coming near me.

Good afternoon, nice and dry here if you believe the forecasters, the rain that was been falling this morning must all be in my imagination. Got the first dozen ewes back yesterday afternoon, their lambs are not too impressed with my imaginary rain either.

Check, are you planning to move back back "down South" soon, or is Maple syrup season a good reason to stay in Dorset ?

Eric, try wrapping a clove hitch knot around your post and pulling up with FEL. I wonder how much deeper it goes down?

Kyle, thanks for suggestion, posts are 4' deep . My roping attempts didn't work well before, the best grip I got was with a ratchet strap, drawback was that needed quite a big hole to work the ratchet.

Ken, even if not completely finished, that seat looks a good place to take a rest while you ponder what you could do with all that sawdust :)

Hey, Eric, I’m not going anywhere while Toronto is infested with Covid. I can teach from up here via Zoom, and it is indeed funny that you asked whether the Maple Syrup season is keeping me up here. About two or three hours ago my daughter piped up and said hey, let’s tap some maple trees and see if we can make maple syrup! She’s never done it before but she’s game. LOL!
