37 going to 73 and sunny.

Ken, pictures are great.

B75, I like your new avatar photo. Beautiful area where you live...time for kites, yet?

Finished my wood splitting, and got a hike in...but had to stay indoors early due to my eyes being so dilated after going for the annual eye Dr. appointment...seems my appointments are always on the sunny days, not the rainy ones.

It's gonna be a great day!
No Kites yet everything still on hold! We are actually in the process of moving to Idaho.

Can the Tempest be hooked to a PC?
All the info you see through the app is also available online to view on your PC. The only thing that is missing is the settings function which does not show up on PC. But as David said no cable connect. This was developed by a "new generation" where everything is phone or pad operated through apps. I sometimes wish they would offer a stand alone display so I could just glance at a display instead of turning on the phone and touching the app. - a two step process. To view on the PC I just open the bookmarked URL.

Sadamo, looking at your weather site I don't think you need a weather station - every day is the same. I can see why you would like weekly/monthly/yearly rain totals, at least those numbers change.

mornin, warmer and sunny.Went wandering in the woods yesterday, made it almost to the road.
Soon will be filled in with brush, maybe I will get time to thin it when it starts.
Almond trees arrived, bare roots. Ground too hard to dig, so wonder why they showed up so early, may have to indoor plant once finished soaking.

Had someone in NY file an unemployment claim with my name and SS#. My work caught it in process.
Filled out some complaint/fraud forms with NY State and put credit freezes on all three reporting agencies.
Have to do each one separately now. What a waste of a morning.

Stay safe and be well- and hope for the best for you Buppies

Good Morning!!!! 38F @ 6:30AM. Rain. High 49F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.
This was yesterday's forecast:
Rain showers early will evolve into a more steady rain for the afternoon. High 53F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%.
It was a 100% miss on rain. The day was dry until about 9PM when it started to shower, and we picked up 0.2" before midnight. It's been showering on and off ever since, with another 0.4" of accumulation so far. There's a little more in the 10-day, but not nearly enough. David, if you have any rain to spare, would you mind sending some this way?

When the sensor cluster for the Davis VantageVue gave up the ghost, I kept the display and use it to monitor the replacement Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus, which came with its own display. One in the office, one in the bedroom, and I like being able to see the weather without having to fire up a computer or pick up the phone. I don't like the price of Davis repair parts, though, and appreciate the value that the Tempest system offers. But I think I'll be repairing the Davis hardware, when the time comes around, which I'm sure it will.

Happy to play digital tractor mechanic for you, Drew. Is there also a tractor in your future?

Glad you had some success at the races, Rich!

Didn't get any ideas for a quick fix for the sticking latch problem from US Automatic's tech support yesterday, but they did return my voicemail query in less than an hour. They did give me the idea of using a jumper directly to the battery to exercise the latch, and out of the dozen or so attempts, it stuck on one. That led to some cleaning and lubrication of the latch mechanism, but ultimately I found that the gate itself needed a little realignment to center the latch on the striker. Sure hope that's the permanent fix.

All that's left now is to get the free exit sensor working, either to correct a wiring problem or to replace it. We haven't gotten much rain, and I'm hoping if the fix is a replacement, it's been wet enough to soften up the ground a bit to make digging a new trench easier.

I was happy not to see any water inside the control box for the new gate opener. The housing on the Mighty Mule leaked like a sieve, which is the most likely cause of failure for the last two units I've had. Now I'm gathering up all the MM parts I've accumulated over the years, and will see if Craig's List or Facebook can help me find a new home for them. Two opener arms, both with good motors, but water damaged control boards.

More housekeeping and paperwork on the agenda today. Never got around to a nap yesterday, so might try to work that in, too.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

55°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 70° today. We hit 74° yesterday. Windy and no sun today, though. The rain moving in overnight looks like it will stick around for the next four or five days.

Got all my unfinished chores from Monday night done, as well as Tuesday's last night. Also got some time on the rowing machine and the stationary bike. Not as sore today as I thought I'd be. Getting more workout today at work covering for the vacationing Plant Manager the rest of this week. Man, there are some needy people in this place.

That fajita soup looks good, Randy.

55F and "Fair" @ 10:00, headed up to a high of 67F. Wouldn't be surprised if we beat it though.

Got living room furniture juggled around and couch moved to new location on east side of the room against the wall. Much better ... (y)

Did not get dust cover on bottom of couch replaced yesterday so that remains on the menu.

After hearing the sound system on the tv (and figuring out how to cast Pandora to it from the phone), decided that the old stereo system can be moved down to the family room. We need the space in the living room ... The Woman agreed. Having decent tunes downstairs will be nice.

Need to disassemble the rolling scaffold in the garage and move it inside in preparation for wall washing and painting.

Will be some seat time in the mix today ... recycles need hauled up to the can, have some old drywall in the basement that needs hauled up to the field so it be crushed up and incorporated into the compost pile. Also have a 4' x 8' sheet of 3/4 plywood that needs unloaded from the van and moved around back to the basement.

All this nice weather has me itching to get started outside but the reality is that it will probably be at least another month before it really turns nice enough (warm, dry) on a regular basis to start doing much outside. If we do have an early spring that is warmer (and drier) I sure wouldn't complain though.

Will get some work done out in the garage today, cleaning and straightening it up.

The cat litter from Menards has been deemed "acceptable" by the PTB - which is good because it reduces the litter cost by something like 65% - so need to order up on that.

Also need to order some new fish food, cat food, and treats.

Have more of the sand/coral/aragonite mix that needs cleaned up put in the living room fish tank. It had an infestation of Malaysian Trumpet Snails which are rather prolific which I treated with (I think) copper sulfate ... so that needs to get washed out before I add it to the tank.

Turns out canister filter does have a small, slow leak ... so that will need looked into today ... :(

Also need to have The Woman decide which additional fish she wants from downstairs for the living room tank and move those up, along with some plants.

Woman managed to shepard her hibiscus through the winter ... that yielded results yesterday:

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Beautiful place. I think I've told you that a few times before. But now that I've looked at your Tempest weather forecast, it's says rain everyday! Nice job on the mounting.

Yup, what is called rainy season. Just a bit wetter this year.

The ambient has a nice screen. Never figured out why only last 4 hrs of daily reading when I download.

72 glorious degrees out, clear sky and gentle breeze. Calling for 73 today now, originally they said 69.

Worked on an old tub chair this morning, ran into an issue so I put it off to a less pretty day and got outside.
I adjusted my 3pt hitch, what a mess it was. Out of level, and chains loose. Got that straight and tightened the lock nuts. Now I’m going to put my Dirt Dog land plane on and dress the clam shells a bit. That might have to be tomorrow though, I need to fill another hole and reseed all the ones I’ve filled lately.
Still waiting on paperwork for the UTV, not very patiently. I’ll give them a few more days because it’s such a deal, but if I can’t get it doesn’t matter about price.

Have a good afternoon.

Yesterday was 74F and 52F over night and 74F again today so spring is in the air and the pavement is building some heat storage so if we get a snow it will leave fast.

On the side effects of the Pandemic and how to deal with it.

I listened to this today and have her book now on order now. Dr. Caroline Leaf is awesome when it comes to dealing health. It is good to hear addiction is not a disease. Being from South Africa I slowed the speed to 0.75 the first time through.

Hit 69.8°, yesterday was 70.5°.
Beautiful day. Came home early due to some construction in my lab. Sitting on porch in nice breeze. Wife is working in a flower bed. Will be mowing in a few weeks.

How many decimal places are supposed to carry that out?

Beautiful day out today, sunny just a bit of a breeze thermometer said it was only 55.
Felt more like 60 out in the sun.
Seperated out another 60 head of yearlings and trailer them to a separate feed lot field.
Ground is still mostly frozen just 1-3 inches of mud on the surface, still a few inches of heavy
dense snow in a lot of places.Supposed to be two more warm days then back to 40's in the day and 20's at night,
for a couple of weeks. This has been a kind of dry and moderate winter except for the major snow dump before Christmas.
But mud season is approaching, need to get one more pallet of coal brought up before I head to NC next week.

Here's to a good day for all
