Good morning!!!!

I ran 2WD for years on most things. That å…Žventually taught me to slow down. Took a while, but I did learn.

My last 3 trucks have been 4WD. By driving sensibly in snow and ice, I can tell a definite difference in braking with 4WD versus 2WD. The 4WD is much more predictable to me when braking.

And without question, make getting up some of the hills around here possible in poor traction conditions.

I love the 4wd for traction but I’ve honestly never seen any difference under braking. Handling and acceleration yes.

I once had a propeller shaft coupling strip when I was headed downhill with a bucket of rocks. That tractor was still accelerating with the rear wheels locked. The only thing that kept me out of Lake Oroville was dropping the bucket, very carefully.

Went thru and updated list with all my financial accounts and passwords, and logged into most financial to get updated balances. Tried to explain to wife.
Included computer and phone logon., NAS and network access, and even tbn login.

Still concerned my test could have been too early for it to show.

Looks like I might start collecting one retirement, I’m at full age and don’t see where it increases if I wait.

Going to get Chinese for supper.

Yep, 5-7 days after exposure, at least you now know you did not have it before you got exposed.

Will you be taking the vaccine?

..."there's nothing in trial data from both the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines that would suggest people with a history of GBS would be harmed by the vaccine."

Is there aa GBS web site where people with GBS can report if they took the vaccine and any negative side effects or adverse reactions?

On the vaccination front -
It's great to read that some of you are getting shots.
It's sad to read that it hasn't been done in military style.
In Mississippi it's been a cluster....

Due to the new more virulent C19 my wife has stopped letting me go shopping, just curbside pickup.

They started opening C19 vaccination in Mississippi for those over 65 about a week ago.
Either call to get an appointment or register online. I don't know how the phone bank was manned but they must have had at least two people. My wife tried for many hours to get through, with no luck.
Whoever set up the web site must have graduated from Mississippi schools.
The Mississippi Department of Education announced today that the state will be suspending the A-F grading scale for the 2020-2021 school year.

That means that high school students who take required end-of-course assessments will not be required to make a passing score to meet the high school graduation requirements

I spent hours trying to get into the online website - 4 times I was able to get on. The website showed how many shots they had for each of the about 2 dozen sites (TOTAL) in the state. Each time after filling out the online form it would crash. Each time as I started again I could see the numbers going down. Then they shut the site down, no vaccine available. None expected until mid February. In later discussion my 97 yr old MIL told us she didn't want to travel all the way to the nearest site that had been opened, and hour away in Tupelo. The entire process reminded me of buying Pink Floyd concert tickets in 1977.

But I kept hitting the website any ways at random times. Then Monday afternoon I got through, by the time we finished registering for the nearest site (3 hr round trip) the ~125 shots they had were gone.
I continue hitting the website about once an hour to get my MIL signed up at a location she will travel to.

Am I the only one wondering why the H E double toothpicks they haven't put the Army and Navy in charge of getting it in our arms?

/edit - went back and counted, I was wrong about the number of sites - only 20 sites statewide COVID-19 Vaccine Patient Screening - UMMC COVID Scheduling

I have had slippage on hills myself, once back by the creek and once on the septic mound. But I don’t the 4WD helped me any, I ended up with front wheels in the creek and had to lock the diff and slowly back out.

The head of GBS at John’s Hopkins said to get the vaccine.
