I was running a quick errand today when my phone started ringing. It was a friend from Slovenia (he is an ex-pat Brit) who found out yesterday I was sick. He was worried about me. We ended up talking for over an hour. Since he used FaceTime, he had to go out to his garage to show me all the latest changes to his assorted high end Ducati痴. The call certainly improved my mood!

His wife and oldest daughter both had Covid, the youngest and my friend never had it.

His wife is Serbian, both daughters were born in Serbia. The youngest daughter is 18 now. She has an incredible command of languages. She is fluent in like 8 languages and has some ability to speak/understand several others. She speaks English with no accent at all. I was at dinner with them several years ago, she was speaking/translating 3 languages (English, Serbian, and Slovenian) effortlessly. Our dinner order came out perfect. She has never had a day of training, she just is a natural at learning languages. Also a pretty good off road motorcycle rider!

Looked out and saw car lights in the driveway. Sons car marker lights and tail lights were on, car is locked, turned themselves on. He checked, light switch is off, and they went off when he locked the car back up. Weird.

We had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that did a lot of weird electrical things right before the battery died.
