Good morning, the temperature is 4°F and going to a high of 16. Wind W 7 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

We got about 6" of snow since the last time I plowed. I will plow today. Plowing is the only thing on my plate for today.

I used to drink a lot of Kahlua and milk, but with me being lactose intolerant I pass on the milk and drink the Kahlua right out of the bottle unless I am going to share. (Not likely)
I have also been known to get me a 1/2 a cup of coffee and top it of with Kahlua and Baileys Irish Cream.
2 fingers of Baileys and two fingers of Kahlua and a splash of coffee for colour.:cool2:

Have a safe day all

Waiting for first cup of coffee to enough to drink. 19° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 30° with cloudy skies. Had a great Christmas Day talking to family and friends with phone and facetime. Hope everyone had as good a day. Got enough snow that I need to clear a path for Sassy. That will get me some tractor seat time today.
Covid data on site I use. Has not been updated since Wednesday. Best to say that case and death numbers are dropping.

now that sounds like a yummy cup of coffee Bill. Warm your innards for sure.

wondering what first light will show on the bird feeding table. Yesterday that poor feeder was
thoroughly cleaned out, deer prints everywhere. Day before feeder was off the top entirely and wedged on table legs below.
So far the hinges have held strong but not designed for torture testing. So....need to mount the feeder on a heavy long board and put that on top
of the picnic table. Determined deer and squirrels means I am likely to get cleaned out often.

So far I've gotten about a dozen birds at one feeding outside, all small birds with one male cardinal.
My challenge for taking pictures are the screens on all the house windows, that don't remove easily, I've tried.
By the time I've walked around back to take their pictures, the birds have spooked.
Big difference from NC, but then farm home had about a hundred feet of porches front and back, always a way to sneak up on birds.

I have two bags of feed, one all black sunflower seed and the other a much cheaper mixture. Basically I add more sunflower seed to the cheaper mixture
and that helps the dollars go further. When deer come to call, it's like they lick it clean. They leave nothing, after all I put out this food
for them, right? In the wisdom of a deer, which is pretty much an oxymoron, no deer sign saying don't eat so why not.
And now they are pooping in my lawn and probably leaving cold weather ticks for me.
Food is fine, just leave my tulips alone.
No one eats the tulips here, got that buddy?

22 going to 38. Was a bit of wind in the face out walking this morning.

Ron, that squirrel looks like I did yesterday out walking in the snow flurries we had for a short while. Good pic. I really enjoy them and the snow pix everyone shares.

Still have MIL here, and oldest son and wife stopped by for a very cold outside Christmas gift exchange.

Talked to my mom on the phone, and she still doesn't think she is eligible for the vaccine yet, so I need to dig into the details some more. Don, you had good info, but said it was specific to Texas. Also need to dig into the social security website...my mom never got her stimulus check from way back in the spring. Planning to see her next week.

27 right now...high in the upper 20's.
No chores today...not enough for a dump run (and I'm not sure if the dump is even open). With all the rain yesterday and the freezing temperatures last night, I'll probably have to spread ice melt on the walks
Although I'm not going anywhere, my stepdaughter has to work today (works at a grocery store). I hope the roads are OK...

Good morning! 11 now, supposed to get to 26 or so later.

We had a very quiet Christmas. Just being home was a gift in itself. Kept the wood burner going since it never got above 17 yesterday. Felt good in the house.

Getting strength back every day. And more important, stability. Only time I need assistance from my crutch is at night when Mother Nature calls and groggy from sleeping. Odd how empowering it feels to stand up and get your own glass of water instead of relying on someone else.

Everyone stay safe out there

Good Morning
It’s 20 degrees and won’t get above freezing today. Clear skies for the next few days at least.

We had a great Christmas here, the rain let up early enough that I was able to cook bacon and sausage outside as I had hoped.
Breakfast was the only formal meal of the day, we pretty much grazed our way to bedtime.

Today I’m going to try to get back to the airport and reinstall the master cylinder and get back to work on the speaker. Might even be ambitious enough to clean up some more in the shop, but that remains to be seen.

Morning all and hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas,
fairly quiet one here, had two daughters over for dinner and one grand daughter.
Going to see two more today plus the youngest grand daughter.

Almost all of the 38 inches of snow from last week is gone, rain and almost 60F took care of that.
Now back down to the 20's and an inch of fresh snow.

Good morning! 28˚F heading to 68˚F, clear skies, a good vitamin D day if I can make it to the pool. na,

Ron, My first thought on your morning pic is a skunk, then a back tree rat that had got into a snow ball fight.

Good thing...no ice...just a light dusting of snow last night...no walkway salt necessary!

20° going to 30°. Sunny with wind at 5 mph with 10mph gusts.

Nothing planned today. Will just stay inside, probably go thru more pictures. Last night I laid around listening to 70 s rock on YouTube.

Rich, it sure is good to get your legs back. I still have to be very careful going down steps. My right leg just feels like it will give out. It hasn’t, but sure feels funny. I hold onto railing real good.

Morning all, 32° today. The bitter wind that has been blowing the past couple days finally stopped.

Gonna try to get a little yard clean up done this afternoon. Got leaves to chop. But if there's zero wind, it will be easier just to toss a match into them. Mother nature was kind enough to blow them all up against the wire fence along the property line.

Gotta run to the bank this morning to deposit my wifes pay check. Will probably take Gypsy with me and visit the walking trail in town. Then take her to the pet store so she can brush up on her people training skills and pick out a bone.

Her people training consists of seeking out the pet store employees that have treats. And then cleaning them out of said treats.

It all starts when she walks over to them and sits down. Then a paw gets offered. Then she will lay down looking pretty. Throw in a little yip here and there. Maybe a roll over. And after a bit the employee realizes they have been cleaned out of treats

BEF, falling down stairs is a good way to put an end to your life. Hang onto that banister.

Dftodd, Gypsy has the looking 'cute' down pat.

Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 8:00AM. Partly cloudy. High 56F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph.
A storm came through at about two this morning, dumping about a half inch of rain in twenty minutes, and rattling the windows and patio roof with wind and thunder. I thought partly cloudy was supposed to have some blue in there somewhere, but it's solid overcast now, and winds are still running in the fifteen to twenty range. Not gonna be an outside day.

Did a little shopping yesterday, stumbling across carbide tipped reciprocating saw blades. Never heard of them before, and they're highly rated for cutting metal, so I'll give 'em a try on the welds on the pallets I'll be disassembling. Also have a Makita blower on the way to replace a really old Echo gas backpack blower I never use because it's a PITA to get started. The Makita is one of the new 36V tools that uses two batteries, like the chainsaw.

Housekeeping and paperwork on the menu for today, unless the sun comes out and I get to take a stroll around the property and see what else blew down.

Good morning all

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.
Ours was quiet as it is just the wife and I. We had a rib roast with taters and onions roasted in the pan and some mushrooms thrown in for good measure, some steamed asparagus and fresh baked bread and a glass or two of beer. Asleep in my chair at 7:30 it was a good day.

After two days of 50 degrees and heavy rain the snow is mostly gone.
32 now which is today’s high some sun then cloudy and flurries and back to sun.

Roads were all dry this morning when I went to the dump.
Nothing else planned for today just putter around.

Stay safe and healthy
Enjoy your day everyone

RNG : "Donning my safety inspector hat for a moment, Rick, changing those casters should also involve a set of jack stands."

Lifting with pallets forks .. results in never being under it. Plus .. I have no 60" jack stands. It took me less than 15 minutes to replace the casters, using an impact driver. I had to stay with smaller casters to match height of the table saw. When it becomes an assembly table .. it can be raised, with the 5" casters, to an even more comfortable working height.

I used these .. on the rolling stairs that I refurbished earlier this year.

GloEra 5 Inch Swivel Caster Wheels Heavy Duty 15 LBS Capacity with Safety Dual Caster, 4 Pack All with Brake No Noise Lockable Wheels (Black): Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

The table saw is on a steel mobile base. When I changed its casters .. I used forks and slings to lift saw off the base, sat saw on shop floor, and changed the casters on base. Then picked up saw and lowered onto the base again.
