I'd mowed part of the field yesterday...might finish that up today.

How's the new flail mower running Roy?

in celebration of new lab results showing my cholesterol is now super low instead of being borderline over the line,
thanks to one little pill a day, I made a thoroughly unhealthy but very yummy bacon, cheddar cheese and tomato sandwich
that I broiled in the toaster oven. I needed to cook the bacon to use in a chicken breast dish I'm making for dinner.
I'm hoping I got one of Farmer's chicken breasts.
And once again the Southern bit of wisdom comes true....Everything Goes Better With Bacon.

Larro, keep your head down please. This hurricane is going right over his head.

I have had to leave the Kubota outside while I'm using its inside barn spot for my welding.
It's sitting down by the barn, mower attached, talking to me. I can see it easily from the kitchen.
Roy and Thomas and others are talking of mowing,
My tractor somehow heard it and I think it started up and flashed its lights at me.
Andiamo! let's go!

Hey I did the roadsides yesterday, and I even used my nice finish mower to mow some high weeds at the corner of
my farmer neighbor's field, where I could not/would not take the disc harrow. Now I can, and geeez, while I'm there, why not do
it all over again...seriously high quality seat time playing in the dirt. We're just little boys who have grown up.

Good morning all, 42 here this morning going to 70 and mostly sunny. Closed the pool yesterday with the help of my neighbor and will help him close his today. Other than that I plan to take it easy. My wife and I keep thinking about the old, the handicapped, the poor, the overwhelmed, ect that are in the path of Irma. Life for them is already super hard and then they are supposed to get out of town, leave everything...... It breaks our hearts.

Buckeye. Praying for your back.

Praying for Florida and Texas.

Have a great day all, Ed

It's doing a great job...no complaints whatsoever.
The TM1900 is a rough cut mower and I don't expect a lawn. It was probably a bit too wet to mow the field yesterday...got some clumping, but only in small areas. Much less clumping then the finish mower I had been using.

Since I was down on the field, and had my Ruger SR9C with me, I popped a few rounds through the pistol...I think I wrote this in a previous post in the "Good Morning" thread, but the more I shoot the SR9 and SR9C, then more I like 'em.

Hope those in Florida can get out of the way, or have safe shelter.

Larro, batten the hatches!

Wifey made me some decaf southern pecan coffee. Yumm.

Hope Buckeye can come back with better news about his back. Mine has been sore the last 2 days. I had to lean forward awkwardly to work on a CNC mill at work and now it's been sore. I wanted to try some tire bead sealer on the slow leak I have on the 5420 MFWD front tire. (I have already sanded and painted the inside of the rim.) But I'm going to wait until my back is better. That tire is taller than my waist. 11.2 x 24 R1

Got the north side of my home's vinyl siding cleaned yesterday. Used Jomax and bleach. It just "melts" the green (guessing algae) away amazingly.

Also put up a small cheepie antenna to get TV reception from 45 miles away. Websites tell me I need to have the antenna 30 feet above ground. I'm guessing I mounted it about 15-18', but it is working. Except for Fox 7 out of Austin. I just read on their website that they still broadcast in VHF. And wouldn't you know it, the little antenna I bought is only for UHF.... Might have to get a bit better antenna.

Need to get on the tractor and do some more shredding. Don't have much rain in the 10 day forecast.

Roy, will that be the last field cutting this year?

Bought 1 little Roma tomato plant to see what happens with a fall planting. $3.58 for a 6 week old tomato seed. Sheeesh.

Eric, hope you get to keep some of your pay.

Today is Camp Tejas free family fun day from 2pm til ? Don, y'all should come. Swimming, canoes, plenty of walking...

Tejas | Home If you scroll down to the 3rd picture, it shows my boy coming out of the water slide chute from last year. Water will be cold today with the cooler overnight temps we've had lately.

Low 50's again this morning, barely touched 70 yesterday. Praying for all those in the path and wake of the storms. Buckeye, I hope the back improves quickly, I suffer back issues and commiserate with you.
Don, sounds like you have a good battery on your hands.
Drew, your welds look better than mine, but then a trained monkey welds better than me! Mine hold, never had one fail, but they ain't purty!

Good morning! Kyle the Camp sounds like fun I know your family will enjoy it. I need to visit Dad and later work on his tractor. Sadly it still has a round bale on the back that he never got around to feeding his cows. I was going to take it off when spring came but I used it as counter weight when moving gravel.

I just made no fat air fried okra in 13 minutes. It taste really good. I buy the frozen cut okra.
1. Put bag in Microwave for 3 minutes
2. cut open top of bag and put in cornmeal, WW flour, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper and shake.
3. pour it in the Air fryer and cook it for 10 minutes on 400˚

The slime of the okra acts like an egg batter to hold the cornmeal mixture to the okra. It comes out with a golden brown crust and crunchy.

Mostly_Gas, Irma is moving at 9mph do you think you could out pedal it.

69°F and .28 inches rain.

Thoughts and prayers for safety and well being of those in path of Irma.

No big plans, hope to catch some football.

Cottage residents coming down to play Rummikub this afternoon. They are happy not to be in Fl Keys but concerned about friends.

Be safe
Have a great day.
