70° F and .44 inches rain

Today marks my 74th trip around the sun.

If some dryness maybe I get my door trims installed.

Taking wife out tonight and treating to lobster dinner.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

39F and mostly cloudy @ 00:30, overnight low hit 28F sometime this morning.

Refilled tube feeders and squirrel feeder yesterday first thing ...

This morning The Woman calls for me to "Quick, come in here !" (into the kitchen) ... two deer grazing at the bottom of the tree the squirrel feeder is mounted on ... with three more grazing at another oak tree about 20' away ... feeder is now only about 25% full ... :mur:

Got a couple pictures of all of them ... but with the screens back in both windows over the sink, it's out of focus ... so one of those needs to go.

Still wondering if maybe a raccoon got into it overnight ... probably will only know that with a gamecam ...

Looks like maybe a dedicated deer feeder might in the cards to minimize this pilfering ... IIRC, someone here (Thomas ?) said they were using this Moultrie feeder:

Got the rear of the roost box glued and screwed.

Later in the afternoon I ran over and picked up "new" range with the Kubota. Moved it inside, hooked it up, and set the clock when I got back over to the house. It's in nice shape and pretty clean but still needs a little exterior detailing/clean up ... something to do while the turkey is defrosting ...

After that we loaded the old couch and took it up to the road for the trash man and then drove over and picked up the "new" couch. Left it out on the forks while we did some vacuuming in the living room and cleaning the wood floors with Murphy's Oil Soap. Still a lot more to do on living room but we got a good portion done - enough to rearrange some furniture and move the couch inside.

And I wasn't the only one liking the "new" couch ...

The Woman was totally disgusted ... because cat hair ...

In fact, all these changes had Squeak so wound up she was pretty much bouncing off the walls ...

First thing on agenda for today is to grab the pot for the turkey fryer out of the basement so we can defrost the bird by cold water immersion.

Then maybe a little clean up on stove exterior, and probably more clean up on kitchen and living room.

Also need to pump tires on two-wheeler so I can move the old stove out of the kitchen.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Happy Birthday David, you old geezer!
hmmmm, I resemble that...:D

got my adrenal tests done, asked the nurses what they were doing for Thanksgiving, pretty much unanimous they were restricting
Thursday to just immediate family. Thought about it, and cancelled out on my trip to VA.

not eating this morning gave me a bad headache, going away now. Might go out and build something, think I'll try a birdhouse this time.

Glad to hear it's going away Drew ...

On those hopper feeders, the old Nat Geo cedar feeder we have uses a pivoting lid ... bolt in either end that the lid pivots on to open for filling, with a spring-loaded pin that locks it in place.

Also think both sides of the roof just butt together ... and then that but joint is covered by a piece of outside corner trim like this: /\

Ron, operator error contributed to washer issue. Washer and dryer sit on tiled “shelf” I made so wife doesn’t have to bend over as much, both being front load. Only about 2 inches from front legs to edge. With 2 afghans and a rug, washer became extremely unbalanced in spin cycle and walked to edge. Actually it may have run it happened so fast. Guess I need to add a lip to edge, not that it would prevent the unbalance, just coming off.
