Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 8:15AM. Sunny. High 76F. Winds light and variable.
Looks like a beautiful day on tap, but the Red Flag Warning comes back tomorrow morning and will run through Tuesday. The power outage rating jumped to a Watch yesterday, and the juice will go off again sometime tomorrow after 2PM, and won't resume until sometime late Tuesday.
Speaking of juice, I finally got through to the solar contractor yesterday, and was told his partner should have gotten back to me three weeks ago. Talk about throwing someone under the bus! I forwarded another copy of the punch list to him, and was told he'd be meeting with the partner in an hour and he would call me back. No call, so I'll try him a little later this morning.
More fine fall colors, Ron. How long between fillings for the bird feeders?
Good luck with that defogger, Don. I have a shelf with a half dozen brands that don't work. Better you should figure out why your mask is leaking air, though, as it's not providing the protection it's supposed to.
What will happen to the metal that came out of the doorway, David?
One step closer to the carb install on the white bike yesterday when I epoxied a cam lobe to the throttle gear to increase the stoke on the cable pull. It's something I've done before, needed to adopt the older carbs to a newer bike. I'd left the gate open for a FedEx delivery, but found a parcel from DHL on the driveway in front of the garage. It had the new ignition system in it, less than a week all the way from Germany! Got busy making a bracket to hang the new twin coils. Paper patterns first, then cut the metal and drill it. I'll get it welded and painted this morning. The old unit triggered off the cam, and this new one triggers off the crank. No more timing variation due to timing chains, but now I need to make up a plate to blank off where the old ignition mounted. That would have been a perfect project for one of Kyle's CNC machines, but I'll make it in two pieces by turning cranks...
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
