Up late this AM, 6:15. Gray and drippy at the moment.
Off to look for a "tin shed" for my shop today. Hard to find people actually working in this Covid-19 thing. If I select one it'll be 2-3 months out before I can get into it.

11/22/1963 leaving for work on afternoon shift.
9/11/2001 talking to my boss on phone as the second tower was hit. At that time it was thought a small plane had hit first tower.

Ken you and Dennis/Buckeye are our resident appliance repairmen.
I have never bought an extended warranty except for electronics on my boat that I knew would get shaken around like mad.
And they never broke...
Having been in insurance business most of my life, and knowing the profit margin on those contracts, have firmly believed not to pay for insurance
on anything I can afford to fix. Which usually means anything under $1k, which is also deductible on home and cars.

another rental opportunity popped up today from little apt wanted ad I placed, and it looks like the best one so far.
Private, one floor, all renovated with new hvac, cable, garage, fireplace and nice deck out back looking into woods. No place for garden though, perhaps something small. Nice to have options. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3523-River-Rd-Lumberville-PA-18933/9094626_zpid/

Drew - does this have a bunch or stairs to get in? Only thing I would worry about. Pass by this house all the time , right by cuttalossa. The restaurant there closed a while back and I think is a private house now. Great area and you would be able to see the river pretty easy .

74 going to 84. Maybe storms.

Prayers for the victims, relatives and others impacted by the Islamist terrorists' attack on New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia 19 years ago. Didn't even see a mention of it on the Microsoft news page that populates my browser tab when I open it...just ugly, hateful stuff and silly celebrity trash...bad place to get news if you are looking for the truth about what's important.

RNG, thought about you a lot yesterday. Hope things are better.

Thomas, maybe you can find some old clothes or toys in your attic for Boo. :) We haven't had a bear in a couple of weeks, but the coon stole the suet last night. Most hummingbirds are gone, so we've removed half of the feeders.

Most of rain passed east of us yesterday, so will try to till and plant some more today, maybe some more mowing.

70 going up to 78 and cloudy- did not get too much more rain since the morning downpour yesterday.

I was in Manhattan on 9/11 and lost friends.

used to spend a lot of time on the towers, worked in 7WTC for a few years.

Stay safe and be well and hope Jay and wife are ok and RNG can see daylight today.

Good morning to all! Low of 41, going up to 70 today. No more rain for the next week, total for this storm was just over a 1/2". Still in severe drought, actually getting worse even with the little bit of rain we did get.

Max is confirmed to have an ear infection, both ears, now on antibiotics for a week. Vet said there has been an increase in the number of cases of animals getting ear and respiratory infections due to the high heat, dryness, and wind kicking up dust.

Today I will take a moment of silence for the loss of life at the Twin Towers. I lost some of my EMS brothers and sisters, some were friends. A sad day for sure. We will not forget!

Today, I will finish up on the neighbors BH thumb, completion was delayed due to the weather.... then for a little fabrication time... I need to mount training wheels on my grandson's bike. The are a couple problems doing so, the bike has a 6 speed sprocket on the rear axle, so the derailleur interferes where the bracket would go. The other problem is the axle bolts aren't even long enough to bolt the brackets on to begin with! I'm going to fab up some brackets to bolt to the frame in front of the rear wheel. Hopefully my idea will work.

Prayers go out to those on the western front, those fires are just devastating. More loss of life, massive destruction. Sure looks like it is going to get worse.

Everyone have a great day! .... and a good start to the weekend!

I sure wish Jay would check in....

Patiently waiting for RNG to check in this morning....

Ken, yes there are steps outside, which will be an issue when it snows. No direct access from garage on first floor, so I'll have to come out and make the walk.
Not a deal killer but not ideal. Ranchers are wonderful...but this is on a hill for sure. Glad I have an awd car.

Cottage built in 1982 by local carpenter, all the wood/materials came from Tinsmans up the street. Very well made with tons of built in storage. My brother has appt to go see it this afternoon and then will call me.

working on laptop while pc loads new version of Windows 10, and taking forever to do it.

Where were you when the world stopped turning?

12/7/1941 - Not yet born

11/22/1963 - Sophomore year in high school, heard news on my car radio during lunch break.

9/11/2001 - On my horse in a Canyon in the Texas Hill Country. We were holding our annual Amigo en Paz ceremony .. honoring our "Empty Saddles". The only communication .. with the outside world .. was the AM radio in drink stop truck.

68°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 84° today. Got up to 89° yesterday, and all the rain missed us to the north and west. Expecting another chance tomorrow. Sure would like to get some on all that new grass seed.

My Mother always enjoyed her time with the Quilters Guild at church. It was mostly older women who got together once a week and used quilting as an excuse to gossip. They made a lot of quilts every year, which they sold or raffled to benefit the church. All were made by hand.

I keep having to adjust my evening chores schedule to accommodate the earlier darkness, too, BEF. It's still dark when I leave for work now.

I suppose any last likely flippant thoughts of mine would probably be along the lines of, "Was it OK to leave that Emaj7 chord hanging at the end like that, or should I have resolved it?"

Steps don;t look too bad, ask Brother to verify if high enough or may need to add a temporary rail.
Hope this works out and looks like some room for a raised bed or window pots for a garden.

12/7/1941 - Not yet born
11/22/1963 - Still not yet born (by just under three years)
9/11/2001 - In my office at St. Louis Music Electronics doing quality jerk stuff, when one of the other quality jerks stuck his head in the door and told me. We all watched in the conference room as the first tower collapsed. I was angrier than I'd been in a long, long time, and had to stop watching.

65F and cloudy @ 11:30. Supposed to clear somewhat, later today, with a high of 75F.

Got the entire front mowed again yesterday. Also took string trimmer for a long walk ... outlet ditch for culvert that drains upper field, planting area in circle in front of garage, also unfinished portion of driveway/turnaround.

Grilled some H N dogs on the grill last night and had those with Bush's Baked Beans for dinner ... :licking:

Kubota dealer called yesterday to let me know parts for MMM are in. Probably go pick those up first.

Order rubber spacers from McMaster.

Rake up grass from outlet ditch.

Possibly spray unfinished portion of driveway with Roundup.

Possibly plant some more hosta.

Hope everyone has a solemn, productive, and safe day.
