Drew, the rain has gone East and west of us, we got .06” so far, may get more late or tomorrow.

Mostly, nice fish.

David, good looking pup.

Our predicted high of 79 went by the wayside, sun came out and it got to 86. Very humid as well.

Got most of tools in my new to me boxes, I’ve been working out of the drawers of a workbench for the last three years since that building burned and ruined my old Snap On boxes.

RNG, take care.

LS, please keep the snow out west!

Have a good evening.

Wx never cooperated for any mowing this morning, but afternoon proved perfect to pick up newest family member.

Meet Makani, 7 week old boxer. Same breeder but different parents as Kekoa. He arrived about 3:30 this afternoon after short hop from Oahu. Did well at initial vet check, got shots. 5.7 lbs.

Most animated I’ve seen Kekoa since Kalani passed. His little nub has barely stopped. Good to see. Simba, the cat, still processing, keeping his distance.

How cute!!

Good morning from north central Florida. Muggy today, muggy tommorow, muggy and still muggier till October with a definite chance of mosquitoes and love bugs.
We have recently moved (a week ago) to 3 aceres but no shop or barn. Still unpacking, had some cross fencing done. Working on a small barn for wifie's 2 minis and a 16x24 shop for me. Both will be "tin sheds".

Welcome.

I got a bit lost over what a "barn quilt" is, I was expecting to see stitching on fabrics depicting images of old barns. Instead the links show many barns painted with images of flags ? :confused2: That rock painting is excellent.

.

Quilt barns have quilt patterns on them.
The barn artist I linked to paints all kinds of things, but has done quilt barns.

A shot of our east living room ... i.e. a work in progress.
My next big effort includes 2 items - a network guru is coming by to assess the house and maybe get the cabling working. A secondly you're looking at it - 21 boxes in the lower left corner of the frame need to go into those IKEA library cabinets. After I straighten them and fasten them to the wall. Books, and pictures, and curios and etc. A lot of "etc". I think the proper perjorative is tsotskys.
How did I (we) ever accumulate so much sheet!
Hmm, I think it just started raining. IMG_20200909_170008.jpg

Good Evening All.

Well I've accepted a not as good as the last one offer for the rental, and the good news is that there better be PLENTY of funds for the remodel. Everything should be closed by end of Sept. and I will be down to only owning 2 homes (I will sell the other rental the second it goes vacant, or as soon as property values rise a bit more out by Lake Anna).

I moved a trailer loaded with my hydraulic splitter, portable generator, biggest wheelbarrow, smoker, 6 propane cans, all the sealed top plastic bins (mostly Christmas stuff LOL) because it rained all day, my antique metal pool chaise and 1 rocker. Put it all into the shed & got the outgoing tenant to show me the secrets of the house.

Hopefully tomorrow I can move some Harley's and the Quad maybe. I bought a 9 ton old triple axle flatbed from TBN member Hawknlaw (I think that's his handle).

I donated the rusted hulk 1996 F250 snow plow truck & the 1987 35' RV trailer to a local wounded warrior charity and she sold both of them today and they will be gone before I move.

I'm quite tired tonight after working all day in the drizzle.

Be well all!

David

That's what I first thought also when I saw it on my iPhone but then I put it on the notebook and there is the horizon thick with black smoke, not good.
RNG time to report in if you can.

At that point, the head of the fire was about 15 miles away, and moving to the southwest.

Two hours later:

Since then I've been watching as more and more areas to the south and east are evacuated; the northern most zone is only about a mile to my east. The wind continues to blow from the northeast, carrying the flames in the direction of Oroville. Speeds are in the 30+ MPH range over the fire. The town and points south are now under an Evacuation Warning.

Coming, Coming, Came. ??

The map shows it a little to the East of his area right now. Not that I know where that is.
