Hey Randy, who are the baseball heroes of today's 8 year olds...I remember worshiping Mickey Mantle, Sandy Kofax, etc.
I think the contractor mentioned having issues with the FDNC on the other systems they've installed, and now just disconnect it/them. Something about causing too much confusion for their customers, and too many questions for them to answer...

ut I thought I would ask here if anyone knows what this stud is called and where to buy them. It is .245" diameter X 1" long, Threaded end is 10-24. Head diameter is .420".

Morning All.
. We drove over to a county that includes part of Shenandoah NP as well as some beautiful rolling hills and farmland. They have a driving tour of homemade barn "quilts" which made for many miles on one lane winding dirt roads, and driving down private lanes (where permission has been granted). Drove up one lane to a house on a mountain with a beautiful viewshed that looked like it came out of the Friday "Wall Street Journal Mansion" section. While there, two paragliders came over us about 100 or so yards up in the air...amazing how long a glide they get with some up currents and ability to glide down into the piedmont farmland. Had a delicious picnic under a famers market shelter and bandstand at the county courthouse complex.
Enjoy your day!

Poured first cup of coffee. 57 Fー with rain this morning. Heading to 63 Fー with continued rain. WF says 2" of rain. Did not much done in house yesterday. That's OK I can work on it today.
Different type of picture today. My DS shows his Mustang Shelby. He has a made a bunch of stamped door props for club members. His say Shelby Cobra, I offered to help him making part that goes on the door side of prop. I have made a couple bolts so far. But I thought I would ask here if anyone knows what this stud is called and where to buy them. It is .245" diameter X 1" long, Threaded end is 10-24. Head diameter is .420".

Eric, I tried fly fishing one time. I think the pole and line are still up in a tree some where in northern Canada. That fish would make good bait for perch fishing.
Looking, not sure about napping improving heart health. 78 and have not had a heart attack. I do rest in afternoon. But very seldom fall asleep.
Drew, great sky picture.
LS, talked to my GD yesterday who lives WA. They are having similar skies that she showed me on Facetime. Good picture.
David, tomatoes look good.
Everyone be healthy and safe.
Good Morning All.
Sounds like a nice drive. Quilt barns popular in Ohio also.
Yes, the trail map for the tour we did (only got about 25% complete) says the Barn Quilt concept started by a lady in Ohio in 2001 and has spread to 48 states.

By 1:30, I was getting an occasional chill from the breeze. At 3 pm, the temp had dropped to 59. At 8pm it was down to 45.... total of 40 degree drop...brrrr... feels good for a change. The expected overnight temps should drop to 30.... earliest hard freeze on record. I guess the flowers are toast....
I was successful at modifying the neighbors BH thumb and getting it mostly installed. I had to cut it in half, bolt it on temporarily, and weld the sides to the dipper stick. Got it primered and painted. I will get it fully assembled tomorrow (if the weather permits) and post pics of the finished thumb.

Oh, he was able to use the fence unroller for the first time today.... worked like a charm! He got 200' pulled and installed in about 1 1/2 hours. I will get pics of them using it next time.

Strange. As it has FLA roots vs Lithium, not the optimal battery monitor but still very useful and as far as I know the only one that integrates with rest of the system. Once dialed in a user would have almost no need to mess with the settings so it just provides data.
A lot of people use a Trimetric or similar, but they are standalone. I was very pleased when I 1st installed mine in old system as I finally got more usable info.
Here is a screenshot of day before yesterday (last full day due to network outage)

They were supposed to supply a Trimetric, but now they're saying the've been discontinued and they're having trouble finding one.
Without the shunts, Optics can't calculate SOC, so I get voltage readings instead. I have a table from the owner of the battery company that relates battery voltage to SOC, and today I spent some time going through the MATE3S settings to see how they relate to the SOC. I was somewhat alarmed that the generator won't come on until SOC drops to 30%, especially since I told them I didn't want it dropping to less than 80% in fire season, which is hitting its peak now.
Here's today's chart, looking a lot like yours, now that the grid is down:

I'm very happy to report that I was able to run the A/C setting it at 73F all the way up until 4PM, when production fell off a cliff as it usually does. Probably need to hose off the panels. Battery's not big enough to run the A/C at night, but I can get by with a ceiling fan since the house isn't all heated up.
Wx never cooperated for any mowing this morning, but afternoon proved perfect to pick up newest family member.
Meet Makani, 7 week old boxer. Same breeder but different parents as Kekoa. He arrived about 3:30 this afternoon after short hop from Oahu. Did well at initial vet check, got shots. 5.7 lbs.

Most animated I’ve seen Kekoa since Kalani passed. His little nub has barely stopped. Good to see. Simba, the cat, still processing, keeping his distance.
