I went out to the shop and started cutting some metal for the welding cart.... then I remembered that I saved the old frame from the gas grill....mmmmm.
Went over to the scrap pile and eyeballed it to see if it would work.... it would surprisingly well...

So, made a frame for around the bottom, welded on the 4" casters, then set the grill frame over and welded those together. Measured for the top frame, cut the angle iron and welded that all together. Painted up all the new metal, letting it dry overnight. The shelves on both ends have notches to hold barbecue tools.... they will work perfectly to hold the torches.

Originally I was going to cut off one of the shelves, but realized I could cut out a circle and use it to hold the Argon tank upright. It's heavy plastic so really easy to do! It's secured from the bottom with big plastic knobs / bolts, so easy to remove for tank changes.

I saved a bunch of time, materials, and was able to repurpose some old scrap.... I still have to clean the shelves up a bit, but will turn out nicer than what I was originally planning. Here's a couple of " in progress" pics.

I’d need more than $2 worth of hose, my filler is on the back fender.

Yep, mine is behind the seat at the level of the armrest... about 5' off the ground... hard to lift and hold that 5 gal can at head level....

Got everything mowed, was just going to do along creek and back hill, and just kept going.
Put riding mower in garage to remove transmission. Had to charge battery some to get it started.
Got trash out to the curb.
Showered and now watching baseball.

Sadamo, my Apple Watch reminded me that today is National Park day! They are giving away awards for walking a mile today (and it does not have to be in a park). Whip and I are going to hit the creek trails as soon as the temp falls below 95˚F to snatch up that award! :drink:

Severed and removed a foot section of 5 big roots from my root barrier trench 100˚F, Arrg. Picked a instant pot full of okra - time to make the gumbo.

69F and "fair" @ 21:00, headed down to a low of 59F apparently.

Got mowing done on compost/wood lot, then removed MMM and put on FEL and box blade and swapped out the bucket for pallet forks and unloaded capstone for retaining wall from van which I forgot was still in there.

Then got cleaned up, loaded up tools, and headed out for hosta removal party. Got almost all of it removed from around their propane tank. There's more there (a lot) if we want it ... along with other stuff.

Came home with a veritable crap load of it ... and a 2' tall ginkgo tree ...

Hope everyone had a great day.

Let me know if that works, my wife weeds our natural area multiple times a year.

I can tell you it works ... at least to limited extent.

Will it prevent all weeds from coming up ?

No ... but it will help to keep them down quite a bit ... and it helps to retain soil moisture, which makes some weeds easier to pull.

One of the problems with using organic mulch is that can provide a growth medium for airborne seeds (like thistle ...)

I've got one planting bed on the driveway going down to the barn. Mulched it with wood chips at least 3 - 4 years ago. The mulch has now decayed to the point that it needs renewed ... it is not entirely weed free, but large areas of it are.

And the sections of it that have the most weeds probably had the least mulch (or none at all ... ;))

Eric, I read some little quip somewhere where they stated a Texas accent was considered (by foreigners) a plus in some avenues of life. :) I can't for the likes of anything figure that out. Mine is about as bad or good as they come....I would get laughed at in UK.....We could go to a pub, but I'd have to button my lip and let you order...

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts for my daughter, she really played/sang well today. Each time, she gets a bit less shy. A wee bit of shyness still in her voice, but I have to say she really is playing her guitar well (rhythm wise). Much better than I ever could. When it comes to musical talent, some people have it and some don't....I fall in the latter category.

Air compressor at home is still good with the Speedaire. The big scroll compressor at work has sprung a leak in the oil coolant line. Got 2 new lines last Friday, hope to install them tomorrow. It has a belt drive from a 30hp motor, and it overdrives the scroll. The pulley on the motor's shaft is roughly twice as big as the scroll's pulley. I would like to replace the scroll's pulley, but they want $450 for a new one, and they are on backorder. We have a desiccant dryer that drys the air, and we are finding out they want $8000 to rebuild/service that thing. Ouch. Parts are high, and 10 weeks backordered.

Kids start school in the morning.

Blessings and prayers for our team.

53 right now...high in the low to mid 70's
After last week's audit, now it's time to start working on the corrections. Some are pretty easy, others not so easy.
I need to stop by the hospital this afternoon to pick up oral contrast liquid for tomorrow's CT scan. I'll be fasting after noon today
