69°F and .02 inches rain and coming down. Hopefully just an early morning storm passing thru. Was thinking I’d get last of this round of mowing done. Have to see how wx goes.

Another slightly cooler day today; 73 degrees going for 92 and the BEST news is that we got almost .3" of rain just before midnight last night; first rain of the month.

This morning we went to Walmart for just a very few things, AND we got our annual flu shots, so that's out of the way for another year.

Twenty years ago, before the internet was popular, I put a small personal ad in local paper, Bucks County Courier
Captain looking for First Mate
For Life of Love and Adventure
And of course my late wife answered the ad...wanting to be Commodore of course, which ranks above Captain...

Recently I put in a small ad in same paper, expecting nothing, saying apartment wanted, carriage house, quiet location, etc.
And amazing a guy called a few hours ago who owns a 1300 sq foot cottage on a quiet country road in Point Pleasant,Pa in lovely area.
He lives across the street, and the house has sat vacant
for three years since prior owner who died, and left him the house, last occupied it. Probably in a little rough condition, and lots of unanswered questions, but my
brother and wife will go inspect it next week. Owner said I was exactly the kind of person they were looking for, someone to take care of it. Gardens could be planted, etc.
At least I'll have a second choice, another small house lined up.
That sure made my day
am amazed that anything in Solebury Township could be valued this low, so clearly this is not fancy.

Not what I wanted to see first thing this morning looking out the master bedroom sliding door. The thunder was booming and the lightning was flashing as a storm passed overhead, three more bolts rained down while I was taking this photo. Fire was reported as a mile or so away, way too close. I don't know if it went out by itself or had help from CalFire, but the smoke stopped about an hour later. :cloud9:

A pleasant 63 early, going to 83 later, unfamiliar sight of sunshine.
My cardiac rehab got cancelled this morning for “deep cleaning”, classes resume for me on Wednesday. I have to ask a few questions before I go back.
