Re our 15 years. Might be a challenge for some to understand, but this is longest Sophie or I have ever lived same place, including growing up. Her Dad career army, my Dad construction, we both had fairly mobile growing up years. Then my army career involved multiple moves as well. But I always say no need to pack for my next one.

Squeak - the outdoor cat.
Back in the early 90’s we got a cat. Being as we lived in a townhouse, we figured safer inside. Sophie would put him on a leash, attempt to walk him - comical.
When we moved to Ga we just gave up and let him out - never a problem, he always came home, never strayed far.

My grandfather was big on bean sandwiches - made from leftover homemade Boston baked beans of course. Never saw the appeal, but then at that age, living in areas of predominately French, Polish, and Irish I hadn’t experienced such things as refried beans etc.

As for lima beans, add some corn - succotash, a Thanksgiving staple growing up in NE and I still make some to this day.

My wife is not big on eating what she often refers to as foreign objects - onions, peppers, mushrooms to name a few. Of course I love them. The onion thing is a particular hoot in that she loves onion soup, onion dip, onion rings, those crispy onion toppings, and even fried onions as long as they are practically charred. As a kid, I wouldn’t eat onion of any sort until about high school age, no idea why and now eat them in any form.
Something of a source of entertainment, when eating out she will pick out and give me her foreign objects. Pre covids the place we usually went to for breakfast had a great omelet she loved, but always order the onions and mushrooms on the side. I got to enjoy them with my meal.

Our first cat was an indoor/outdoor cat ... got her when we lived in town, she came with us to “the country” ... she lived to be 21 (actual years)

But she was a lot bigger than Squeak.

OTOH, we also had two other cats at an earlier point - who were both killed - same time, same day - as a consequence of irresponsible pet owners who let their dogs run loose.

An ounce of prevention is sometimes worth a pound of cure.

Don, actually our weekly 40 minute Happy Hour Zoom is only zoom experience. My cottage tenants have taken classes etc and survived. Their master gardener course finished up on zoom.
I suspect it could work for a jury, but likely require some special procedures.

Bit the bullet and mowed, wetter than I prefer hence a lot of dark tire tracks. Not quite done, need another hour or so, but that area does need to be on dry side. Maybe tomorrow..
