The scanning is fast, documenting them in the title takes time. I can lay several on scanner and it finds them. I date them yyyymmdd_state_infoAboutPic. If I don’t know date I at least guess on year. If no day I use 00 or XX to fill the space. I then put in a directory by year. Each 10 yrs put in a directory, labeled 1990s, that way I can easily control directory structure.
The newer photo sw uses the metadata, I don’t want them dated by the scanned date.

Eric, that is a nice tool, I sure could have used that when I was taking down my 3 mile fence, all I used was the other two tools in the photo.

.

That point on fencing plyers does same thing, beat it under a stubborn staples.

I find it incredible how little we actually understand ourselves and this virus. It is really humbling. Then you add our societal values into this pandemic
..and well...here we are.
During this covid19 time you may not want to try improve your immune system.

The Immune System and COVID-19 Treatment | NutritionFacts.org

The 8 minute tube has some interesting points, the bottom line is to decrease your exposure because your immune system can be used booster covid19. It's complicated.

This is good news for Drew. at 2:40

thanks Don. Good to know, clearly prevention in the first place is key. My sister sent me an article on a treatment being worked on at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, a world leader for sure, involving CAR NK therapy, the NK being "natural killer" cells produced by our own bodies. Seems what our body can provide, if the right stuff, is even better than artificially generated medicines. Comes from donated umbilical cord blood, early results have been very good.
If my CT Scan on Wednesday comes back clear, will be a happy camper. If not, then will ask about these alternative approaches.
And I continue to wash my hands every morning after handling facility door knobs, to and from my daily walk,
and every two days I wipe down all touchpoints in room.

Otherwise I take a multivitamin a day to get a little extra Vitamin C.

RNG,

I started using Loctite 518 20 years ago at work, it migrated home. Long story, we had a leak problem on a PTO/transmission joint no one seemed to be able to fix. Found 518 at the NAPA store and gave it a try. Fixed!

518 also seals threads, works as a thread locker, etc.IME, if I Loctite 518 won稚 seal it, it is a sieve or it is broken. Good stuff.

515 is pretty good too. Never tried 5900. Have to check it out.

Thanks for the feedback on the 518, Rich.

The decoupler that sits on the front of the transaxle has had a leak on the actuator housing almost since it was installed. I've tried two types of ThreeBond with no success. This time I'm pulling it off and disassembling it to make sure all the seals that should be in it are. If it passes that test, it's gonna go back together with the 518. But I'm still gonna keep my fingers crossed.

I picked the 5900 because it's supposed to be able to span gaps up to 0.050. The oil tank flange is warped, I don't know how bad, but it'll get cleaned up and put on the granite for some measurements. Might have to spend some quality time moving it around on oily silicon carbide paper. I hope not, that would be a loooooooong, dirty exercise.

Here's some control resources Kyle.

Thanks Rick, you're always so helpful. Pondguy's fluoridone???? costs $$$$$. I will look at other brands. I can wait for a natural flood to carry most of it out. Just need a fast 3-4 inches. Glad your pizza was good. My kids want it once a week....but we may be doing more spaghetti with all the sauce we are making.

Don, Lee county has just issued mandatory mask wearing for all businesses and public places. Employees and Customers. Our county has no hospital nor emergency room.

For any of you guys, (especially those watching Dr Sehult (sp?)) Is taking zinc still considered a helpful defense?

Drew, prayers for the best outcome, or the best treatment to get you back to your lifestyle.

Eric, most of my staples that need replacing, are gone??? Somebody must've borrowed your tool, come over at night, put all my staples in a metal bucket, and shipped them to Shropshire. :) Maybe I should Loctite my staples and Gorilla glue.....

Roy, glad you got some rain. The storm I needed went about 20 miles east of me last evening.

I looked up Menards (we don't have them down here) for power tools, looking for any deals. They don't have what I would call a big name brand. Masterforce is main one?

RNG, can you do a little body hammering on that oil pan to get it flatter?

Rich, I've been watching some Speedway highlights that come up in my FB feed. Always exciting. Still popular in Europe.

.....I went ahead and decided to do some mowing with it while I had it out. I cut about 3 acres with it. Takes too long with only 25 pto hp available (johnson grass weeds were hood high in places). Put it away and got the big tractor and went to cutting. Cut another 10 acres or so. Need to cut another 10 acres. It was so relatively cool and breezy, good for shredding/slashing.

Gee, color me envious. Mowed about 4 hours today, maybe 2 acres done - and I’m getting faster.

75F and partly cloudy @ 22:00.

Trip to PO done, staples pulled and other end removed from DRST and partially sanded ... it's looking good enough that the boiled linseed oil may ultimately win out. This end will need glued up though, as they didn't pre-drill the screw holes for the hinge for the removal door and the wood has started to split. Still have to dismantle and sand the elevator end.

Had a couple of nice pieces of broiled fresh cod seasoned with Old Bay and rice pilaf for dinner. Finished up the weed eating on the east side and around back after that.

Just came in from pulling thistle from the blueberry bush planting bed, finally got too dark to see what I was pulling ... ... probably got 3/4 of it done though ...

Very enjoyable ... sitting out in the cool of the evening at dusk as darkness fell ...

I remember looking - I think online - one time for something in that category. Wasn't terribly impressed with their offerings.

Home Deport and Lower are both closer for me (basically half the distance or even less) if it's something that I need to get locally.

Having said that, Menard's selection of materials just kills Home Depot and Lowes.

Kyle we are also under mandatory mask starting Friday.

Sheetrocker came I need to add 14 Supports by 10am tomorrow in the attic.

Got 3 up. A cool 110 degrees in the attic under cloud cover, mostly.

Good evening all. 79F for the start, overcast and windy. Another very windy day, cloud thinned out later in day, and high temp was 93F, dew point in low 70's. bike ride first thing this morning, used 10-speed only 110 miles till it's retirement. Mowed after that, and was ready for shower, nap and energy conservation.

Mike friend of mine dad had a new airplane with 275 Jacobs radial engine. He had been babying it and compression and oil consumption were not improving. He talked to some people and found out he should have been running it much harder till rings seated. :confused2:
Don hope they get your cracks fixed correctly.

Rick I hate it when I mess up an order like that :(
Ted your own runway how neat, and no freq sharing :) enjoy your pizza

PJ sorry about no rain, I usually change own oil, in fact F150 is coming up, first oil change was free when bought the car, so it is not due for a while. I live in the southeast corner of Cooke County north of Ray Roberts Lake.
Don would be nice to know how to control cytokine storm.
Roy, congrats on the rain.
Kyle good to see plastic fan stood up to snake
RS nice progress
prayers for all, especially Drew and Jay and Country

Got rest of pictures scanned. There are more pictures I want to scan, but have gone missing. My brother scanned some many years ago, at low resolution.. I have copy, but I want to scan at high resolution and they can’t be located.

Found a few of me at a young age.

It costs me almost$100 for synthetic oil change at the lube place, so I started doing my own again, for under $25.

I found a 1958 picture of kids I didn’t know, but was written on back who they were. I put it on a local genealogy fb page asking if anyone knew them. Some of their family members replied. Only mystery now is why mom had the picture, no known relation.

a warm 75 out now going up to high 80's with rain likely this afternoon.
spent last hour responding to aggravating request by buyer of my farm to knock price down by 40k due to bogus
appraisal they had done.

Appraiser admits he never set foot on my farm, admits property is "very unique" and that there were no comparables.
The only comp he could find is shown in this picture, and this is what he based his numbers on.
https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1121-Betsy-Elbow-Rd-Washington-NC-27889/235885566_zpid/
a house in a bare field with no landscaping, no orchards, no gardens, no three horse barn, no pond in the woods.

Yet another attempt by buyer just to beat down price. Will discuss with family this morning about counter proposal. Sure not going to accept
what they offered. Need to have good talk with my realtor first to see what other interest has been shown, i.e. does he have a list of other interested parties?
Basically gets down to game of chicken with buyer, who I now don't trust at all.

Always liked July 4th holiday. Was my Mother's birthday and we always set off some fireworks at the farm. Just good memories.
