Soon you will be in competition with Mostly!

Not. Even. Close.
At my age, I'm pretty sure I'll never again put on the kind of mileage mostly_ does.

When I was growing up, I was always on my bike. I even rode in the Winter time. During Summer, I was on it pretty much all day. I'd mostly just ride around our neighborhood, but would sometimes venture further, riding all over town. I've always loved to ride. However, I was never into it as a mechanism for racing or fitness. I just like to ride. There are obvious fitness benefits to riding all the time, but that's never been a goal; more of a good side effect. Everyone has their own reason to ride. Mine is that I just enjoy doing it.

Should have been PJ. I fixed it.

I have the same BBQ. About 10 years old now. Still works great. Gave my 3 burner to son. It used propane a lot of propane. 2 Burn seems to never run out. Now a days I am using Treager grill the most.

A lot of times I only use 2 of 3 burners. 3 gets too hot with all turned to lowest.

Me too on the bike riding, but I seldom ride because of too much traffic on the roads. When I retire I hope to be in an area I can ride more. I like to take bikes to rail trails or c&o canal trail.

Gorgeous day, cool breeze.
Something ate a cabbage plant already, probably groundhog or rabbit pushed it’s way under the fence.

Thanks, will have to remember the paper clip. I’ve tried just tape and it pulls apart.

My Cha Ching was delivered today. Tried the air blower already to blow some bugs out of corner in garage.

Forgot to mention yesterday .. this is the knot I use to connect the rope ends.

That’s good news on your new RG!

Got the A/C fixed. We are all happy. Will take it a while to bring down house from 88F. Last night it got up to 94F in the house around 9 pm. Everyone had such horrible sleep, they all are taking naps. :)

A knot won’t go thru the pulley, new and old rope have to be connected end to end.

This is how to connect the ends of the new rope .. after you’ve pulled it thru your pulley with your old rope.

I explained how to butt splice new to old yesterday.

My new halyard ropes didn't get here, on UPS, until after VFD Drill last night. All went well installing this morning .. took maybe 15 minutes.

I used to regularly put in 1 or 2 -75 miles rides on weekends, now I have the grounds to keep and don;t get much time on the bike. Last ride was 16 miles and I was pretty tired. Used to do charity rides and when I was in HS/College did some amateur races, placed 10th once. Knew that racing was not going to work out :)

I was in Lisboa Portugal once up at the large traffic circle in the center of town. , all of a sudden police started closing off streets, didn’t know what was going on.
Then here comes a bike race, all in a large clump, around the circle and down towards the harbor they went. Don’t know how they all rode so fast so close without wiping each other out.

My bicycle was my primary transportation from the time I was 10 years old until I got a drivers license at 16 years old. But I don't expect to ride one again now.

Officially, Summer doesn't start until Saturday, but I reckon we can expect nothing but miserably hot weather from now until late September. However, it was only 75 degrees this morning, going for a high of 92 today. I'm not really sick, but just dragging, with lots of little aches and pains. I went to bed yesterday afternoon at 5 p.m. and didn't get up to stay up until after 6 a.m. this morning. But I did get the shears our and trim the shrubs in the front of the house this morning, and I took the EGO mower into the shop and removed the blade, sharpened it, put it back on and took the mower back to its storage shed. I've not used the Mantis tiller in a long time, but I started it up and let it run awhile this morning just to make sure it still works. I ran sprinklers on the yard all day yesterday, so we'll see what kind of water bill I have this next time.

This is how to connect the ends of the new rope .

I chuckled at this. Having been a boater for a long time, close to 20 years, I always thought tying knots would come easily.
Absolutely not, I was completely dysfunctional. My knots would not hold and I made a complete mess of them, often asking someone else to do it.
To this day, can't do knots, which seems silly, it's just a pattern of sorts and you repeat it. This goes along with my ability to just look at a garden hose and it
immediately kinks. I love the ones labeled never kink. Un huh.

continued rainy dreary day here. Never got above 68 outside

I have one of those here, Drew. A big 1" x 100' one.

I think the name has an extra "N" in it.

They should have called it Ever Kink!

Oh, BTW, that last message was solar powered! The house has been on battery power for the last hour, and the battery is being charged by the solar panels. Things are going smoothly with the rest of the installation, and most of my concerns have been satisfactorily addressed. We'll do a walk through when they finish so I know what all the components are and most especially, what all the breakers do. The goal at the end of today is to be ready for the final inspection, and I think they'll get there!:cool2:
