Poured first cup of coffee. 67° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with thunderstorms. Got most of my grocery shopping done yesterday. Still have a few more item needed from Walmart. Local JD dealer called to let me know he got a belt in. Need to pick that up today. Did spend some time inspecting mower. May have a bad idler pulley. Will have to take some stuff apart to get at it. Need to do some house cleaning. Aunt is coming for a few days visit tomorrow.

Drew, prayers on the way.

Eric, Tench is considered a invasive fish here. Has not hit the Great Lakes because of there depth.

Don, glad Amazon came through on refund.

Buppies, same temperature up north this morning.

Thomas, nice that critters come when you call. I have not seen that at my place. Park near me has lots of critters that will come close.

LS, nice completed project.

RNG, I used WIFIRanger when I traveled. Worked well with my hotspot and park wifi. Expensive!

David, glad you got your order.

Mostly, my luck with USPS is getting less and less. Fedex also. UPS has been good. Along with Amazon.

Don, sorry to hear about hail. Look for horizontal cracks in shingles. Shingles may be depressed in flat area's.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All

72 and overcast, headed to 80 and scattered showers.
Got an appointment with Orthapedic doc about my sciatica, can’t walk any distance without tighten up and upper legs getting weak. It usually resolves on its own but not this time so far.
Oh well.
Gotta get moving, have a good one. Prayers for Drew and everyone.

Good morning. It's a very pleasant 64° here with no wind. The afternoon rain storms missed the ranch but .. a second round came through about 10 p.m. I haven't been to rain gauges yet but .. anything we got was welcome.

The roof of the Dixie Chicken, in College collapsed with yesterday's storms. Been there a few times.

I spent most of the afternoon mowing on the ZT. With our recent rains .. the mowing was dust free. . Even though the storms bypassed us yesterday afternoon, the temperature dropped from 87° to 76° at 3 p.m. and we got a nice breeze with the drop.

I realized, yesterday morning, that the the rolling ladder was missing a diagonal brace so .. I need to check local steel supplier for some .875 steel tube to make the brace then off to the sand blaster Monday.

It was good to hear from Drew yesterday and we wish him continuing improvement.

RIP .. Congressman Sam Johnson.

Hope everyone has a safe, productive "Friday Eve".

Prayers to all.

67°F and rain this morning, going up to 78° today. Expecting rain pretty much all day today in into tonight, but then we're done for awhile. Guy on the radio who studies meteors suggested no more rain here for the next couple of weeks. I'll be OK with that.

We got some pretty heavy downpours yesterday evening and overnight. They didn't last too long, but they dumped some water. Most of the gravel I replaced in the driveway last weekend has once again surfed back down to the road. Guess I need more exercise anyway.

The porch is looking cozy, Ted. Nice work.

Your pictures are incredible, Ron.

Yeah ... I hope this one isn稚 quite that bad ... but I have no illusions that it could well be.

While you're waiting, give some thought to soaking those threads with a good penetrating oil, and maybe heating up the parts to spit sizzle temperature before you apply it. Let it cool off and repeat as many times as you can.

Is that corrosion on that second rod? Could that be the cause of the leaky seal?

Hope everything turns out OK!

Good morning to all! Low somewhere around 50, going up to mid 80s again. Cold front supposed to come across tonight bringing slightly cooler temps and chances of t-storms.

Last evening, the winds suddenly gusted up kicking up big clouds of dirt, a few rumbles, and a 10 inch rain.... 1 drop about every 10 inches....
Did not do much to keep the dust / dirt down. In 10 minutes it was all over. I wonder if this storm kept building as it moved down into Texas providing all that hail.

Today will be an easy day, going to run a short electric run in the shop, then tap the pond electric into that feed. Only a little bit of outside work in the sun, but that will get done in the morning while it is not so intense. I am sure this small project will morph into something bigger.... they always do!

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning!!!! 75F @ 6:45AM. Abundant sunshine. High 104F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Glad you got the refund, Don, but sorry for what you had to go through. I'm starting to rethink the Prime membership, as two day free shipping has turned into free two week shipping, and lots of merchandise is "no longer available". And I'm finding better prices elsewhere, using FedEx and UPS that don't have the same long delivery times. Was hail at your place really baseball sized?

Another fine project bites the dust, Ted. Yer givin' RS a run for his money!

Thanks for the info on the Ubiquity stuff, David. Here's a link that looks promising. Hope you and Randy get through the back trouble soon! The guys at the local HD that load the concrete sacks are pretty good at hiding the holes.:grumpy:

That's a LOT of rain, Buppies! Hope you don't lose any more trees.

Good to hear racing is back on, Rich. Good luck to your rider!

Finally got the license plate sticker from California DMV earlier in the week, which showed a refund for the penalty that was mischarged. Yesterday the check showed up, with no explanation for the mischarge, of course. Funny how they're real good at cashing checks, and it takes 'em forever to write one.

Decided to take advantage of morning shade at the dirt pile to screen another couple of buckets for the trench. Finished that around noon, had lunch, cleaned off the welding table, and since the solar contractor was a no show, headed into town on a grocery run. Still no word from them this morning, and now I'm wondering if they'll be able to deliver as promised. We're due for more rain on Saturday, and I sure as heck don't want to have to shovel out that trench again.

Today's looking like an inside day with moving a couple of bookcases on the agenda. My turn to complain about a sore back...

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Sheesh on the projects already. I feel bad not keeping up.

Must have ran into Poison Ivy the last few days with the weed whacker. I have random spots in the all the wrong places. The beard line is most irritating as is the waist line hip area. LOL. Good thing I wear gear from head up. ITCH.

Looks rainy and grey out. Need to get the pool chems right and hope for some more sunshine this w/e.

Looking forward to the Space X launch. I was in a flight control room at a NASA facility during the first two shuttle launches. I was communicating, LOL.

67 cloudy degrees this morning, going for a high of 81. The yard was still wet from all the rain we've had lately, and there was some dew on the grass with no breeze this morning. But it hadn't been moved in 8 days and needed it very badly, so I got that done this morning.

Drew, sorry to hear you're having so much trouble, but hang in there and hopefully it'll get better.

70 going up to 77, no rain in the forecast, too bad it's raining :)
Washer has a failed inverter so on order $245 (ouch!)

Drew , glad the farm is moving on so it's one less worry for you. Hope the Chemo is the fix so we get you back on here!

All the projects are making me jealous as I seem to be spending all my time with my day job and fixing not so old appliances.

Stay safe and be well.

That's a tough row to hoe, Drew. Good thing you put in all that work scaling back and cleaning out; almost like you knew something like this was going to happen. Sorry you're going through all that, but your prognosis sounds promising. I know you're not a sit still kinda guy, but try to do what the doctors and therapists say, and take it easy on yourself, OK? And know that our thoughts are with you!

/ Good morning!!!! #112,714
You got this, Drew. Give it HE77.

I'm kind of in the same boat, Ken. The four days off last weekend drove home the point that I'm spending too much time at my day job, too. Need to work on that.

At least you know what you are fighting now, sounds like the docs have a good plan, keep us in the loop. God bless.

"I'm starting to rethink the Prime membership, as two day free shipping has turned into free two week shipping, and lots of merchandise is "no longer available"."

I ordered a replacement ignition, for my Polaris Ranger, from Amazon, Tuesday evening and it shows "out for delivery" on USPS today. Good price (less than half of what Polaris dealer charges) and 2 day delivery.

The original switch's internal spring, that returns it from "start" to "run", is weak and doesn't always work.

I haven't experienced any unreasonable deliveries since this started for Prime items. I have found a few things I could buy elsewhere for lower cost though.

Thanks for the update.

Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery.

Hang in there ...

72F and cloudy @ 12:00, had rained at some point earlier, ground is wet. Lots of showers in the region, but Weather Bug is predicting 0% chance for the remainder of the day, with the possibility of some sun later.

Had just checked UPS Tracking on the wrench delivery from McMaster a few minutes prior, when I heard the UPS driver pull and toot his horn. Rechecked it within a minute or two after he rang the doorbell and the website had already updated to show that it had been delivered ...

It's another Martin Tools wrench - this time however they delivered the McMaster packing job I'm normally used to: the wrenches (which tend to be oily) was enclosed in a separate plastic bag ... so that it didn't contaminate the packing slip ... :D

Hopefully sun will materialize and things will dry out a bit.

Have grocery pick up later.
