Jay we're with you my friend.

No, not at all. That was a great answer. I have a similar mistrust of my local LS dealer, and went elsewhere, so I completely understand.

We talked about that, too. My youngest stepson said they have one with a metal blade where he works, and thought they would likely let him borrow it for a weekend. If not, then I might look into renting one. There's a place not too far from us called Grand Rental Station that has them. We rented a hydraulic post hole auger from them when we built the deck.

" I have a similar mistrust of my local LS dealer,"

We have a great LS Dealer here in Texas PJ. I've bought an XR4046HC in 2014 then traded it in on my present XR4155HC from them in 2017. RCO has provided excellent service on both.

LS (Ted) bought his most recent tractor there and possibly his first one as well. His neighbor got his there too. I think he went back and upgraded to a bigger tractor too.

There are some sorry dealers out there .. for many brands.

The front arrived here at 4 p.m. and temperature dropped from 83° to 69° in about 20 minutes. The rains just started and we're getting a bit of lightning.

Jay .. good luck with your procedure tomorrow .. you're added to our prayers for a good result.

I'll have a Jack Daniels, in your honor, this evening.

My thoughts will be with you tomorrow Jay. I hope everything checks out ok.

I did not get to any of the fencing today.... I found other little incidental things to do (like gate latches, a couple of short little rails to tie into the other fences, etc..) effectively procrastinating doing those awful fence staples.... tomorrow I will not have any more excuses....

It is a shame that some dealers are so bad after the sale. Like Rick said, our dealer in Texas goes above and beyond just about every time I have needed something. Even though I am 600+ miles away, I still have confidence in the dealer.

Did your neighbor get his new tractor okay?

Did your neighbor get his new tractor okay?

Yes he did! He has graded, augered some posts, lifted / moved a bunch of stuff. He was supposed to go back down this week to get the BH installed and some rear remotes. His wife / girlfriend ended up breaking her ankle last week and had to have surgery last Friday. She still cannot get around, so he delayed the trip until next week. The delay kinda helps out John too... he said he is slammed... busiest he has ever been!

Extra prayers for you, Jay.

RNG, your pics aren’t showing for me, so miss seeing your progress.

You asked about adjusting slip clutch.
A number of You Tube videos out there, pretty much trial and error.

On the RhinoAg site, I found a manual for mower my size, mine is older Rhino SE5. Their method is to measure the uncompressed length of the springs, tighten to 1/8th inch less. Seems about right on mine, haven’t broken a shear bolt, but haven’t noticed excessive slipping either. This method makes it easy to get uniform tightness.

56 going to 64, and the wind is back again today.

Rip, I have several spots of poison ivy I want to spray, but the wind has been too strong, except when the frost or dew is still on the leaves.

Yesterday's long freeze and frost did some damage to our pecans, walnuts, paulownias and some of the milkweed patch we leave for the monarchs.

Ron, I can't see your pix, either. I had the TBN pop-up scam to buy Norton this morning.

Kyle, sounds like a great meal you made for the missus. I made waffles for breakfast, and finally decided we'd do our first curbside pickup of restaurant food since the lockdown...we went to our favorite Tex-Mex after ordering online...40 mile roundtrip was worth it. I watch almost every Orioles game, DVR many of them so I can start them late, skip the commercials, and catch up before the end...I must be an optimist. Now our best player had colon cancer surgery this spring.

Our oldest son came by to see his mom for mother's day...kept 10 feet away...brought gifts, including a nice big box of 5.56 for me for doing their taxes. :) He got a real kick seeing his father with a beard...first one I've ever grown...coronabeard. He's bugged me before to grow one so I'm glad he's happy.

Thomas, cool having turkeys that close.

RS, those photos of does in that tranquil setting looks like an art piece.

sorry about your frost damages...

Here's one for all the gals that haven't been to the salon yet....

Good morning! A warm 70˚F before sunrise. Today will be my first meet-up with the FireWise group since the lockdown. Since we can only meet in groups of 10 we have split into two groups. I missed last week to do tractor work that morning. A possibility of scattered showers this morning, but rain for sure this afternoon when I have again scheduled mulch moving with the tractor.

We had a tornado scare here around noon, a 1/4 mile wide funnel went by us about 5 miles away. Still uncertain about friends. It went very close to where former member Mikim's place is. We were very fortunate.

Took drone for a quick flight this morning. Flight went well until I tried to bring drone back to home. It would not return. Wind at 100' was so strong that I had to land it where it was at. Did not turn camera on. Was just doing a practice run. No damage other than having to walk 1500' out into back field to retrieve drone. Not sure why I did not take golf cart. :confused3:

I was wondering if drones get sucked up into thunderstorms, and if they can find their way back home???

Prayers for you Jay.

Yes, I agree rip, prayers for Jay's situation. I pray Drew is getting better and has good medical staff.

RNG, grass where drone landed was not tall. At top of a hill. Easy find. I am still using guards. Which adds to wind resistance.

The 6 baby squirrels are slowly disappearing. Hawk got another one this morning.

Jay, around here we put oranges or grape jelly out for Orioles.

Ron, can I borrow your squirrel eating hawk? We have about a half dozen I need to take care of....

It's always something, squirrels eating the chicken food and pecans, hawks eating the squirrels and chickens, chickens getting the short end of the stick usually.

The front arrived here at 4 p.m. and temperature dropped from 83° to 69° in about 20 minutes. The rains just started and we're getting a bit of lightning.

Not sure how much rain we got, but near us got about 2.35" Over by San Marcos, they got from 5-7.5"...

Never got real hot and sunny so a great day for mowing. Finished my Hilo end area and a couple hours on the Laupāhoehoe end. Maybe finish tomorrow. Or maybe not LOL

LS, maybe some drone time will let you know what type of nudist colony your neighbor is running behind that big wall. :)

Sodamo, Or maybe not LOL. That's a good attitude.

Kyle, I have been thinking of some reason that I could use to get a drone.... that might just be the ticket....

Don, the Thunderbirds are going to fly over Austin/Georgetown tomorrow IIRC. Probably dependent on weather.

We’re getting a KC135 flying over the Big Island hospitals on 14th after they leave the F22s in Oahu.
