Good morning!!!!

Good evening all. 46F for the start, overcast light wind, trace of rain in gauge. Overcast all day, light to moderate wind and high temp of 53F. Thought we might want fire today but did not start one. No chapel this morning, made wife's breakfast, watched some news, wondering when people will realize the world will end quicker if they don't get their act together :( . Energy conservation and reading were the activities for the day along with a nap :).
Ted did watch the latest two videaos, nice job, nice paint job on the mower.
Randy hope you get everything worked out on new job.
Hawkeye good to hear about FIL progress, hope you get everything worked out on your retirement.
Rip welcome back NICE tractor, good to hear wife is progressing.
David nice job on cross brace and getting the new gutters hooked up (almost)
Drew hate to hear you have vertigo, I have to keep meclizine handy in case. Proper hydration and electrolytes help keep it at bay for me.
Ron, probably nice to have a good visit with aunt, she does not look her age and sounds like she does not act it either :)
Frank glad your back home
Jay sorry to hear you in dog house nice job on the building and upgrading the drone.
Eric nice induction heater, not sure how well it will work for annealing, easy to overheat and overage the brass and annealing takes time to "undo" itself.
Billy nice trailer of oak :)
Don, nice pics of trail and parking!
more catch up tomorrow :)
prayers for all.

daugen; do you know of a harness maker around your parts? They make good belts.

Jay; the shelter the tractor is in has been up since 2012 and it still looks like the day I put it up.

Went to worship, but since I do the video streaming, I stayed in the sound room at the back. But did have a visitor sit near me during the Bible class that reeked of cigarette smoke.

Still saw people shaking hands and hugging though. Some people just don’t think it’s a problem.

Got a couple cans of gas and a diesel on the way to evening services tonight, lot less people there.

At our Elders meeting we decided to cancel Wednesday night and Sunday night services. We are planning next Sunday AM only service, and preparing for just streaming services. Problem is the others aren’t technical so I do all that work.
Will be an interesting week coming up. Hope it doesn’t get too crazy.

Going into work late I think.

I've had a couple pair of Duluth pants, and several pair of their shorts, for over a year now. Most of them have those ridiculous flaps over the back pockets, held down with patches of Velcro. I can never seem to get my wallet to go back into those pockets without trying to stuff that flap in ahead of it. And of course the Velcro does its job and keeps me from succeeding. The material is also somewhat abrasive, making them a little harder to get on and off, and just a little irritating to the skin. Only one pair of the firehose pants here, and they are the worst in that regard. The Dry On The Fly are better, but nothing beats good ol' fashioned cotton denim for comfort.

I just got in a pair of Propper Men's HLX Pants with zipper back and side pockets, 8 pockets total for stashing all the EDC stuff without looking like GI Joe. Stretch panels at the sides, too, for a better fit.

I'm also trying out a pair of 5.11 Tactical TacLite Pro pants, again no flaps over the back pockets, but no zippers, either, and with cargo pockets on the legs. Both of these designs have dedicated pockets intended for cell phones, something I think I'm gonna like. But as Drew mentioned, I think I'd have trouble rolling around in the dirt in a pair of fifty dollar plus pants, and will stick to jeans for that. Which reminds me that laundry is on the todo list for today as well.

I am real fortunate, I have about 10 pairs of the Proppers, maybe 12 pairs of the 9.11 EMS tactical pants. All issued from my uniform allowance. Some of them are at least 8 years old. All in black, all my outdoor / shop work pants now! They are so comfortable that I hardly wear jeans anymore.

Morning all! 22 here with 40 expected. Today is my 62 turn around the sun! 206 more work days to go!
Strange times ahead indeed. Wife is going to work today and I am off till wednesday. Hopefully she can work from home if things get worse. (my job can't be performed via electronics)
I have been checking in whenever possible. Love the pics/projects and stories! Will post pics of the kitchen project when I can.
Hope everyone can stay safe from this or at least have the mildest symptoms.

Good morning all. After what must have been months of miserable weather, we could finally be on to something much better this week. The sky is almost perfectly clear, in part thanks to coronavirus. Only 2 vapour trails in sight, it is 10 years since the sky was so free of jet graffiti, when the volcano erupted in Iceland and grounded flights to Europe.

A lot of healthy people will be forced to stay at home this week. After a few days of cabin fever, I wonder how many will be yearning to get back to work, while others look forward to retirement ?

Happy Birthday - Phil.

More trips for you, for sure!

30 outside this AM. Yikes. Heading to lower 40's. The end of winter I hope. Good thing I emptied the hoses last night.

People seem to be out and about yesterday. I have a bad feeling that it's a last run on supplies and more probability of spread.

We did a drop off at Goodwill, spring cleaning.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Be healthy.

good morning all. Cloudy mid 50's today.
Happy Birthday Phil. Go do something fun.
As for me, I'm headed out to two dens of nasty bugs, CVS and Walmart, to pick prescriptions. I wonder if they deliver?

powerwasher coming today, will spend all day cleaning house, which is covered in pollen, and then doing all the white fencing, and then will
turn on the heater and clean off some of my implements that got a coating of light green over the winter.

this afternoon friend from garden club coming to give me advice on where to put what flowers.

have a lovely day, stay safe and find someone to be kind to.

Good morning, the temp is 13°F and going to a high of 32. Wind ESE 11 mph. Snow.

We can expect at least an inch of snow today.

The shelter roof got cut off yesterday and I took it to the dump. Later this morning I will see if I can replace it.

I have to go to the bank today, that ought to be interesting.

Happy Birthday, mpham.

Have a safe day all.

Poured first cup of coffee. 20° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 45° with cloudy skies in afternoon. I did some seat time yesterday. But put that to a end rather quickly. Similar weather today. Not sure what I will get done. I guess that means no plans for today.
Reports are that stores are starting to get restocked. Our local produce and meat markets have plenty of food.

Drew, carry some sanitizer in your pocket. Before you get back in car use it. I have some small bottles that my wife kept in her purse.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

I wonder what this will look like going forward. Like the gas "rationing" of days gone by.

You are allowed to shop and get out and about by the odd/even numbers of your car tags.

The stores looked to be crushed yesterday in my area, it did not look good.

I do Ron, my last bottle. I get in the car before touching the wheel and use the sanitizer.

Don’t most pharmacies have drive up windows?

36 going to 56. Last cold (30s) dry morning for a while. Raccoon visited our porch garbage can full of sunflower seeds last night. First time this winter.

I still have two dead oaks I need to take down in the woods, so will try to get them this morning.

Phil, you youngster! Have a special day!

Mostly, glad to see you are back to your normal updates.

Took a day of rest yesterday...watched a funny movie and ate popcorn with my wife and laughed a lot. We needed it. We then drank hot Moroccan Mint green tea and had a nice dinner.

Good Morning!!!! 40F @ 4:15AM. A steady rain this morning. Showers continuing this afternoon. High 52F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall around a half an inch.

Had a mix of everything yesterday here, but it was all rather cool. Steady rain in the morning, showers with a brief spate of hail in the afternoon, then the sun came out as it dipped below the clouds in the evening, revealing a dusting of snow on a distant hilltop.

Many happy returns, Phil. Hope all your birthday wishes came true!:cloud9:

Good luck with those oaks, Wng. Be safe!

Schools are closed county wide here starting today, for I think two weeks. Lots of events being cancelled, new 6' guidance for "social distancing" coming out of the CDC, all in an effort to slow the spread of the disease so hospitals aren't overwhelmed. The 60 Minutes news show last night had two stories related to it, one featured 3000 infections caused when one guy broke quarantine to attend three events in Westchester County, NY. Makes ya wanna crawl into a hole and not come out for a long time, but I've got to run another round of errands in town today.:confused3:

Spent yesterday feeding the golden goose. Made a large Instant Pot of wild rice, bagging and freezing the result, then turned right around and made another Instant Pot of red chili using some of the nice pork chops I brought home Saturday. It didn't come out as thick as I prefer, no surprise there as pressure cooking keeps in the moisture. So I left it simmering in crock pot mode all night and now the house smells wonderful. I might very well succumb to the temptation of chili for breakfast this morning.:licking: Got some laundry done, too.

A nylon landing pad for the drone came with four little nylon bags to hold weights, so I dug out a sack of number 9 shot yesterday and made up little pouches that should do the job nicely. I knew all those tiny zip lock bags I've been saving would come in handy for something, someday. Got a great deal on a case for the iPad Mini last week, too, but teal isn't a favorite color. Took it apart and painted it black, after a lot of masking to keep the all the windows clear. Thought it was brisk in the garage until I went outside, where a strong, humid wind cut right through my jacket. At least it wasn't raining for the trip up the hill to take out the garbage can.

While I was outside I didn't notice any puddles, not even in the open end of the trench up next to the house. The ground is so dry it's soaking everything up like a sponge. Perfect timing; I've still got one more trench to dig, unearthing an existing electrical run so we can add another conduit and set of conductors out to the utility feed. Can't use a backhoe on that one, and the rain will hopefully soften the ground up some for me.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!
