Good morning all. Light rain all day, hope it at least cleans thick layer of pollen off truck.

Happy this morning no payback for planting flowers yesterday, glad I went slowly.
This morning I'm off to supermarket when it opens and then Walmart.
Should be interesting. So far I haven't seen panic buying here, just the usual sold outs.
Today may change that...

Good morning, temp is 13°F and going to a high of 25. Wind N 11 gusting to 19 mph. Cloudy now and clearing to a sunny day.

My Shelter Logic cover finally let go. 3 days ago I seen a 3' long rip in the seam, yesterday the seam let go in the high winds, so today I will cut it all off (the bottom is still frozen in the snow). when my ICT refund gets here I will order a new one. The original cover is 7.5oz $335.oo+/-, the heavy duty one is about $1100.oo+/-, and the ultra one guaranteed for 15 years prorated is $1300.oo +/-. doing the math is not rocket science, I got 5 years out of the original cover, so if I was to buy 3 of the light duty ones, that would cover me for another 5 years and the oldest shelter would have 2 spares.

Have a safe day all

Very close friend was head of Health Dept in Teaneck NJ for many years, retired to DE, now super glad this didn't happen
on his watch. Teaneck has been hit hard, whole town on quarantine.
Hopefully this will be another case of positives for living in the country.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 25° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 44° with partly cloudy skies. Got laser on pistol and sighted in close enough for now. I hope it scares anyone that I have to point it at and do not need to pull trigger. Hope to get outside and get some fresh air. Pick up the stuff I raked up last week.

Looking, sorry to hear about your cover. Hope you get more life out of next one.

Thomas, flower decals on the tool box.

RNG, diesel here is down to $2.699. I am waiting for it to drop below $2.50 before I take my cans in to fill. There is a station on the way to Rural King that is selling for $2.459. Maybe I need a trip there. No rush I have 35 gallons in storage tank.

David, nothing wrong with energy conservation.

Roy, both guns look small. But maybe not in a pocket.

Drew, you plants look good. Hope you do not get any frost. We have a chance of frost until Memorial Day.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

The Russians and the Saudis are having a gas war. I dunno why or how, but the net result is lower gas prices here in the US, but not in Kalifornia. It has nothing to do with the virus. Today I paid $3.56/gallon to fill the F250 with Diesel #2. I learned a long time ago not to question the price, and to be grateful as long as I could buy all that I need. Such is the complicated and nonsensical world we now find ourselves in.:confused2:

Actually the feud is only part of the oversupply issue, the virus travel restrictions are the other part, at least according to the so called Experts. Less demand, more supply. The Saudi’s and Russians are trying to drive down prices to get the USA out of the oil business again so they can raise prices. But they can’t seem to agree on how to go about it.

Good Morning!!!! 40F @ 5:00 AM. Cloudy with periods of rain. High 53F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.
Picked up a couple tenths of an inch of rain yesterday, and it looks like the same for today. Yesterday's winds really cooled the house off while I was in town, and a fire in the wood stove felt good in the evening. March looks like the lion is alive and well on the wet, west coast.

I didn't know about the shutdown of Teaneck, Drew, but the President did say yesterday that local quarantines were being considered for areas already hit by the flu. Seems to me that will only fuel additional panicked behavior among the citizenry, but what do I know?:confused3:

Finally an inside day, time to catch up on housekeeping chores, do some cooking, and start getting organized for doing the taxes.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Roy, both guns look small. But maybe not in a pocket.

They are pretty small...I'd call the CW9 a compact, the CW380 a sub-compact (what we use to refer to as "mouse guns")
The CW9 will fit in a pocket if they're cargo pants (Duluth Trading sells great cargo pants, BTW). Of course, pocket carry requires a good quality pocket holster. Jeans pockets, unless they're really baggy, don't work well for front pocket carry.

41 and a sprinkle earlier. going to only 49. So, fired up the woodstove this morning.

Thomas, sounds like a great tractor and plan. Hope your Chinese was good.

I need to fill my 5 gallon diesel container, but need another reason or two to drive to town before I go that far. Mowed the tall grasses and millet from a crimson clover field for about 90 minutes yesterday and then did a real thorough cleaning with the air compressor. First time I've used the Zero to do this job, but even though the stalks were up to 4 feet high, they were very thin and weak from winter drying. Zero did well, but did have to go over a second time, reversing direction...probably a combination of dull blades, cutting at the highest setting (5 inches) and not going slow enough. Amazed to see how many mole tunnels had been dug out by the foxes over the winter, making little 3 inch deep zig zag patterns.

Found a dead opossum in the side yard this morning when we went to play frisbee. Wasn't there last evening, and Coco didn't go out anytime during the night, so not sure what got it, but my wife says she heard such a loud scream last night that she cut the outside spotlights on (I was asleep in the lazy-boy). I moved it over near the woods where the red-tails are nesting again. See if they have any interest in it before the vultures or eagles find it.

Roy, Duluth just opened a store this week in our area. We have been getting at least daily emails from them since I had ordered something for my wife for Christmas. I'll check out their "carry" pants. I generally use an IWB that I really like from Blackpoint Tactical…

pictures say it all...
no paper goods, no meat, no potatoes and I bought the last gallon of 2 percent milk they had...

rainy Sunday morning, not many people got up, almost none in supermarket. They said it's been a madhouse last two days.

my brother said he had no masks, no problem, sent him some of mine plus some latex gloves for the gas pump. Plain white masks are better quality N95, I wear a soft black nylon mask with two air vents. Fits me well, of course no longer available on Amazon. I wore that into Walmart only to find out pharmacy doesn't open until ten, and not an hours of operation sign to be found. Not sure if I'll make a third trip downtown today.
Hoping drizzle stops and I can finish planting the flowers in the rear house beds. They get all the afternoon sun, fronts only get morning sun.

I ordered a circular step on planter that cuts 2.25 inch holes in ground, a handled stand up version of the hand circular planter I use now.
Wish I had it now, comes on Wednesday, my chosen delivery date for Amazon.

Duluth's pants aren't cheap (but watch for sales), but definitely well made and, I think, quite durable. I have three pair of their cargo pants.
I ordered one of these for the .380:
LightTuck™ Kydex IWB Holster | Vedder Holsters
More then likely, I'll get a pocket holster too.
BTW, I put two magazine through the CW380...American Eagle hardball. Ran fine, which is good news. Still, tough little bugger to rack the slide and I hope it'll ease up after a coouple hundred rounds.
