Men's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Ultimate Relaxed Fit Cargo Work Pants | Duluth Trading Company

I like the ones in blue, but as long as I have grease guns, I'd hate to wreck or permanently stain a nice pair of pants. BTW, Duluth costs 60, Carrhart costs 50, and then a whole bunch in the 22-24 dollar range. I buy LL bean stuff when it goes on sale for 40 percent off. Otherwise it's like buying a new truck at full sticker.

Some of their heavier shirts are simply indestructible. Lands End also. And get a little
softer each year. If a new pair of shoes costs 100-130 bucks, 60 for a pair of pants that you expect to last a very long while, might be what they have to charge
to make you something good. Now I'd like someone to find a natural looking plain leather belt for a reasonable price. Belts seem overpriced to me.

I have a couple pair of Carhartt work pants and old jeans I use when working or greasing the tractor. The cargo pants for causal wear, but not outdoor workwear.
My wife used to work at Good Will...that's where a lot of my real work pants (and shirts) came from...

Denton, TX has a Duluth store; kind of interesting to visit, but I've never bought anything from them.

Just to avoid boredom, I went riding around this morning, and visited 3 Walmart Super Centers. A niece in another state mentioned seeing 2 (ladies?) fighting over a dozen eggs. Well, neither Denton Walmart has any eggs, although the Hickory Creek Walmart has quite a few left. I noticed one was also out of milk; didn't notice at the others. And I thought they'd restock last night, but if any of them did any restocking at all, I sure couldn't tell it.

n interesting mix of sun, mid and upper level clouds and 30ºF for this morning’s low temperature. Increasing sunshine all day so far and it is presently 38ºF with an anticipated afternoon with temperatures in the low 40ºF’s. A beautiful day to start puttering around outside.

Kyle- I am sorry to read that C-19 messed with your plans. I like your plan to self-isolate in your own “safe” office.

Bruce- I agree with Don. The problem with pure alcohol is it dries out the skin leading to fissures that make another entry point for invasive diseases.

“… Such is the complicated and nonsensical world we now find ourselves in.”- RNG I agree. Crisis/catastrophe brings out the best and worst in humanity especially during times of mass hysteria, and we are seeing far too many examples of the worst. I now understand that some American distilleries are starting to push ethanol production and making hand sanitizers that are effective against C-19.

Bill- Most of the fabric shelters around here are not.

We are entering interesting times ahead on uncharted waters. I truly hope we learn from history and weather this storm. Things will get worse before the situation improves and how long it takes is another unknown.

I hope that we all manage to stay out of C-19’s way safe and sound.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Pura Vida!!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of only 40, going for a high of 65. Sunny w/ high cirrus clouds.

Went to Walmart .... same story... paper goods cleared out, cleaning items gone. No eggs, no milk, hardly any canned goods.
Absolutely ridiculous! We will just wait a few days and go back.... we are not in any dire need of anything. Why don’t people just purchase their normal shopping list?

Finally the drizzle subsided yesterday and I retrieved the neighbor’s mower. Today will involve painting it for him. I will not disappoint him! He was definitely excited, left at 6am this morning headed to Austin! He wants to be at RCO tractor when they open in the morning! I am planning on takin some video when he gets back. It will be late tomorrow night when he gets back, so probably Tuesday when he unloads.

Everyone have a great day!

An example of the "good."

I agree.

Once things settle down there should be a serious national investigation of profiteering and profiteers.

We will call ahead to BJ's this week just to make sure that they are open and/or find out if/when they are

I've had a couple pair of Duluth pants, and several pair of their shorts, for over a year now. Most of them have those ridiculous flaps over the back pockets, held down with patches of Velcro. I can never seem to get my wallet to go back into those pockets without trying to stuff that flap in ahead of it. And of course the Velcro does its job and keeps me from succeeding. The material is also somewhat abrasive, making them a little harder to get on and off, and just a little irritating to the skin. Only one pair of the firehose pants here, and they are the worst in that regard. The Dry On The Fly are better, but nothing beats good ol' fashioned cotton denim for comfort.

I just got in a pair of Propper Men's HLX Pants with zipper back and side pockets, 8 pockets total for stashing all the EDC stuff without looking like GI Joe. Stretch panels at the sides, too, for a better fit.

I'm also trying out a pair of 5.11 Tactical TacLite Pro pants, again no flaps over the back pockets, but no zippers, either, and with cargo pockets on the legs. Both of these designs have dedicated pockets intended for cell phones, something I think I'm gonna like. But as Drew mentioned, I think I'd have trouble rolling around in the dirt in a pair of fifty dollar plus pants, and will stick to jeans for that. Which reminds me that laundry is on the todo list for today as well.

Gray and drizzle out this AM.

May head up to goodwill for a drop off. House cleaning on the agenda.

I am a jeans guy. But I wear them out on the wallet side and knees. LOL. And I never carry a wallet.

Try these:
LA Police Gear Mens Urban Ops Tactical Cargo Pants - Elastic WB - YKK Zipper - Coyote Brown - 36 x 3 at Amazon Men’s Clothing store
I have one pair....lighter weight material then the Duluth pants and they do have the elastic waistband for a little more comfort. Quite a bit less expensive too

Personally, I like the Velcro closures on the rear pockets. Definitely keep's one's wallet safer, but a PITA if you keep a comb in a rear pocket (which I do).

Lots of nice clothing, I need to explore a bit more...so much of mine is from gifts or wife picking up Kirkland jeans for me. Speaking of Kirkland, I just ordered some cases of Mobil 1 oil...$10 off per case, but it was also the free shipping that caught my eye...no need lugging them out of Costco to my truck if they'll bring 'em out here fer free. Also ordered some filters from Amazon...lots of oil changing in my future.

Roy, that's a nice holster.

Went to church online this morning.. felt crummy yesterday.. wife had a noise in front right wheel on her Tahoe, pulled tractor out of shop and left it run while I put Tahoe in, jacked it up, pulled the wheel off, removed rock from between shield and brake rotor, put wheel back on, put Tahoe in garage, put tractor away and was out of energy (it was <20F with 10-15mph winds).. Watched some streaming tv and movies, after dinner, daughter told me there was water on floor in laundry room.. floor is wet behind washer and under, was not able to determine source yet, will have a look this afternoon.

Stay safe, prayers for all.

Good morning! Cooler today at 57˚F cloudy.

Every once in a while there is a interesting bit of new information in the virus thread, now on version 4.0.
One was this link of a study on COVID-19, a study in Germany done to determine when the virus is most shedding.
People 'shed' coronavirus early, but most likely not infectious after recovery
"Shedding from the upper airways early in infection makes for a virus that is much harder to contain. The scientists said at peak shedding, people with Covid-19 are emitting more than 1,000 times more virus than was emitted during peak shedding of SARS infection, a fact that likely explains the rapid spread of the virus. The SARS outbreak was contained after about 8,000 cases; the global count of confirmed Covid-19 cases has already topped 110,000."

Tea increases the immune system, Coffee does not.
Study: Tea Boosts Immune System - CBS News

Another bit of information is that Gloves are more protective than mask to stop you from getting the virus, as long as you use the right method of removal.

My local Sam’s Club has been selling Dexos Sam’s club oil for $20 a case of 6 quarts. Last time I was there it was $15. Suppose to be same as Mobil 1 Full synthetic.

"....... as long as you use the right method of removal."- Don. Sadly most people do not understand "Universal Precautions" nor appropriate procedures. I saw 0% of anyone exercising any form of precautions during the President's TV speech yesterday: touching each other, shaking hands, close contact/proximity, touching/kissing the mike, podium etc. No role modeling there even by the health care professionals.

It's more than talk the talk, one must walk the walk.

I just received an email from my dentist. My (cleaning) appointment scheduled for next week has been cancelled. I was considering cancelling.

Similar problem. Tried to rake and blow leaves around house and pond. Wind blew leaves into pond I cleaned yesterday.
Back in house watching Furious 7 for 10th time.

BTW, I put two magazine through the CW380...American Eagle hardball. Ran fine, which is good news. Still, tough little bugger to rack the slide and I hope it'll ease up after a couple hundred rounds.

If the slide doesn't loosen up, can you use some jewelers rouge on it?
