Frosty outside this morning, nice and cozy inside with the stove going..

Wife made it home safely, glad she is home, wants to go back this weekend (I'll probably drive her).. daughter was thinking about going, but if we go, she will stay home and watch the place and take care of the cats and dog.

Is anyone changing or amending their vacation/travel plans this year?

I hope to change from last years vacation, 2 months in the hospital.

My vacation ends up being trips to Arkansas to move college kid. He’s flying home soon for spring break, I’m a little worried. All it takes is one person, and they could have been on a previous flight on that plane.

We had thunder storms around midnight, heavy rain and lots of wind.

Cold wind this morning.

Wife coming home today.

Not much else planned.

It really depends on which ports your ship plans to stop at.

The only ports outside the USA are in Bermuda, but it will be what it is, not losing sleep over it either way.

Another coronavirus article, this one with some rather ominous forecasting that Covid-19 will turn out to an annual disease, like the common cold, and one that will mutate frequently, requiring development of new vaccines each year. It's a long read, but the bottom line is that 70% of us will get it, but most of us won't die.

I was surprised when I saw in an article that flu kills thousands each year.. I'm not sure how accurate that is, they always talk about a few each year, but to add up to ~25,000 each year in US seems far fetched.

I also read that the data is following an ideal model (prediction) and data scientists are saying that it is unusual, like it is simulated data and not completely real.

Some of the biggest concerns about COVID-19 is it's 2% lethality, contagiousness (some of the highest ever reported), and its mutability.

Back from hospital. Endoscopy did not show any problems. Cannot use tractor until tomorrow.
At this time I do plan on changing my vacation time this summer. Going to Upper peninsula of Michigan this August. Anything will be better than what last summer was. As long as I do not get sick.

At this point in time influenza is far more dangerous and deadly than Coronavirus. It’s going to run it’s course eventually and it may turn out to be an annual like the flu strains that jumped from animals to humans. But I dare say this isn’t the ‘big one’.
