Thomas, have fun with the tractor purchase. Going to get any implements for a package deal? I can think of a few toys... eh, I mean tools that you could get!:cool2:

Did not get out to the shop or out on the tractor yesterday, had to get Max to the vet. He developed a fever and bad ear infections in both ears. He is now on antibiotics. The Fever was much lower last night, and he perked up a bit. No fever this morning.
……………...…………..
Glad Max feeling LOT better give him hug for me.
NO No on the extra implements that could cost me extra work. ;)

Or extra seat time.:D

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 7:00AM. Plenty of sunshine. High 66F. Winds light and variable.

Yer gonna make all the real beaters at the dump look even worse with that purdy truck, Randy.

Neighbor finished up his part of the trenching with his machine yesterday, now it's my turn to clean all the spoil out of them with the trenching shovel. After I repaired the telephone line, I shoveled about fifty feet, just to reacquaint myself with the technique, which for me is shoveling a flat spot in the spoil ridge at the top of the trench, then park my butt there with my feet dangling into the trench. Then start shoveling, keeping the shovel parallel to the trench so I don't knock rocks and dirt back into it on the way up and out. I can clean about four feet per seat, and it doesn't take long to push the spoil out of the way. I'll need to use the demolition hammer to break up the dirt under the shipping container to finish that trench, slow going doubled over or laying prone on the ground. So that'll be the start of the day, and since the perf tube showed up yesterday I can get it installed and buried and have that trench done. Then more shoveling, probably have two or three days of it to get everything cleaned up. Hard to tell if the trenches are deep enough everywhere, but the neighbor left his machine here if I need to make any touch ups. It didn't want to start again yesterday, and I suspect a loose or bad battery cable, so I might end up looking into that, too.

Hope those of you in that eastern storm take it easy with your shoveling, too...

Relaxing weekend.. fetched wife home on Saturday, she is wore out, but will go back to the hospital tomorrow. She will drive part way this afternoon after getting temp crown. Her brother is going with her, she talked him into taking her Tahoe instead of his small car. Much easier for her to get in and out of, and it has room for all her stuff. A college friend offered a place for them to stay only a hour from hospital.. saves them $200/night in hotel and parking.

FIL is still in ICU, he has good days and others not so good.. but he is overall doing better. Sister is moved to acute care from ICU and is doing great considering. Doctors were amazed that all 6 kids were there (1 was in accident).. FIL turns 96 in less than a month.

Thanks for the prayers and positive thoughts, they are very much appreciated.

Stay safe, prayers for all

Quite a few hospitals have some free or very low rate housing available for family members.

I really was looking at old clunkers just for hauling junk, etc... but I can’t help myself! As soon as we pulled in the lot to look at an 04 F-150, Ellen saw the Dodge and said, just go buy that one. If not you will go home and wish you had. She was probably right.

Good morning. It was a warm 69° and overcast this morning. Our high will be about 74° this afternoon. This will be our last warm day for a while as cool front expected tonight and next 3 days are forecast to be only in the low 50's.

I finished up my mailbox refurb / repaint yesterday so .. one more thing checked off the list.

I also got the refurbished retract springs installed on the 20 ton air / hydraulic jack. I gave them the wire wheel treatment, a coat of rust reformer, and a coat of black.

I'm saving the re-assembly of the press for the upcoming cool days.

I've also got three more burn piles to light, during our cool weather .. if the winds are calm after the front comes through.

Randy .. nice truck! Wrong brand ... but still very nice.

Thomas .. good luck with you're tractor shopping.

Don .. why do you think your SR is cracking? Is there some movement in walls or ceiling?

Ron .. I'm interesting in following your band saw welding. I've got two portable metal bandsaws, a Rikon 14" WW band saw, and a Rikon 10" bench WW bandsaw.

Hope everyone has a great "Hump Day Eve".

Prayers to all.

All the walls are good, must be some movement in the ceiling. From the corner of the tray ceiling to the wall (about 2 feet) is the narrowest part of a 40' run of sheetrock. The info I have is there should be an expansion joint if the run is over 30'. I might put extra supports in the attic and try a repair one more time but an expansion joint would fix it for sure.
