61°, what a great weather day! Started my cardiac rehab today, BO was up for some reason, I’m told up and down is normal following a TAVR procedure. Oh well.

An overcast morning low of 27ºF late last night. There have been periods of light snow falling all morning. Presently an overcast 36ºF and I hope to see some clearing and more sunshine later today with high temperature in the low 40ºF’s. It looks like the midweek and beyond weather will be mostly wet with periods of mixed precipitation as the different fronts pass through. Thursday may prove to be a challenging icing event. We’ll see.

Ted- Nice work as usual.

I really enjoy the sharing of all the varied and numerous projects posted here.

RNG- I am glad another road trip turned out well and your Vanagon’s handling is much improved. It’s great to see your solarization project finally underway. I hope to see more pictures of the project.

Drew- I am both sorry and happy to read about your + response to Prednisone. Powerful meds = powerful side effects. I really hope you can find relief without the Prednisone at some point. Good luck at the DMV. You deserve a break from your back breaking activities and take advantage of the benefits of R&R.

Roy- Enjoy your R&R with Bella.

Rick- I was really disappointed with the Super Bowl commercials this year. I saw a couple of low budget local commercials which was surprising. I did enjoy the game = no nappy time. Halftime was interesting.

Grev- Good luck with the search for a new truck as well as the “bait & switch” antics report to the GAO and BBB.

A little cool streak coming through, 45 this AM, tomorrow 30 something overnight... someone told me it will hit the twenties. I have only once seen the twenties out here, didn't last too long, thanks to the sun here in SoCal Desert Area.

50+ for high but it should be little higher, by Thursday it should be back to the 60's, 80 a couple of days ago.

Need to check out pressure washers, can't go by these Web Postings, one person love it, one person get a hair across their butt and posts a 1-star because a nozzle was missing or not in the correct place. I don't think the people posting reviews are thinking correctly.
Maybe just rent one this time and look further when I'm done, should only need it for a day at the most.

Has anyone been looking at new Trucks lately, Dealerships are nothing but Fraud Unit looking for some one to suck in and take all of the money you happen to mention is available (Mistake) ! I went to five Dealerships, starting with Toyota, looking for a Tacoma, a little truck, bottom line was $42K, went to Ford, F150, bottom line $46K, went to Jeep, a Gladiator, bottom line $46K, even thought they aren't selling as well as they should.
Went to different Toyota and Ford Dealerships, where EVERYONE says you get the best prices, NOT !

There was a Jeep Gladiator advertised, an Overland, just under the Rubicon, a lot of Options built in, advertised $41+K, OK, I'll look. Went to the Dealership and asked about the vehicle, as it turns out is had only a day or so ago been taken off the truck and the computer wasn't even taken out of the ship mode. Great let look at it ! medium grey, solid color, no metallic, ;leather seats with red stitching (nice), high end seven speaker stereo with Apple Car Play ( I wanted), a lot of other extra, NICE ! I want it, bottom line after Dealer added Options, Warranty, Oil Cahnge agreement, ... DRUM ROLL... $54K, their second offer $48K ! What is happening here, why if this truck was advertised at $41K, why isn't it selling for $41K ?
I was asked what I wanted to pay and I tld them $41K (which is ridiculous), I was told they couldn't sell it to me for that price. When I asked why is it advertised for that price, get this, I was told to get me in to the Dealership. Isn't that false advertising or misleading. I contacted the Attorney General Office, filed a complaint, I know nothing will come of it but at least there is a complaint against the company.

I don't usually sue people at the drop of a hat, but I thought at least a AG/Better Business Bureau Complaint might let someone else know of the problem.

OK I'm done need another coffee.

You could go the build your own route for the Jeep Gladiator. I built one out with all the important stuff and only came in at $36K. Dealers mark up any options by 75-100%. Then add a bunch of their own costs! Out here, they usually add “market adjustments” , which are about $1500-2K....I tell them up front I will not pay it..

My new Nissan Frontier MSRP at $36,450. Dealer “ sale “ took it down to $32,100. I purchased it for $27,950. They have a tremendous markup, something they call dealer holdback, manufacturers incentives. Do not let them fool you, they make money even at their so-called loss !

Scrambler, are you looking at a 2019 or 2020? I had to go to 3 different ford dealers before I found a sales person I could deal with. I don't play their games and walked out on one ford dealership when they added $1500 dealer add-ons in the 2 hours after they received a Ranger before I could get there.
I finally got a 2019 Ranger in November. Numbers were flying back and forth with my trade but I got the price I was looking for. (better than the Costco dealer's deal)

Some dealership have a certain script and do not vary. They won't give you the final price till they have a sit down with you and fully expect that you will buy their vehicle. I do not deal with these.

Dishwasher not working. Pump not working, or timer isn’t starting the pump. Hot water sitting in bottom. New thing to research.

Wife’s sister and mom picked her up and they are staying in Baltimore again this week. Her dad slowly improving, trying to get him to feed himself. Has trouble raising right arm.

After telling me she made a meatloaf with veggies in it, I called my favorite Italian sub shop on way home. Don’t tell.

Nice day, to bad I was inside all day.

Looking out my back view this morning I noticed a drilling rig through the trees. Didn’t drive down to see exactly where it was.

Can’t believe the prices you guys are throwing around for trucks. My current 2500 HD crew cab was around $30k when I got it.

Scrambler, which model of F150 was $46k? We get ads here in for $30k (US) Toronto for a nicely equipped Supercrew 4 x 4. And that is before you negotiate.

Good evening all. 52F for the start, partly cloudy sky, light wind. Brisk wind again today, sky became mostly cloudy by noon, light rain in afternoon. High temp was 68F. Front comes through tomorrow, about mid-morning. Wednesday forecast is all over the map, changes almost by hour, do expect frozen precip. Choir practice to start, cold weather prep, ie clean out ashes, fill wood wagon, secure wood tarp, etc. Bike ride was nice only arm warmers needed, and nap.
Eric know what you mean about the earlier sunrise, If i can get a pic with "white stuff" will post it.

Grev went through that 2018, you would think dealers would order more vehicles with fewer options. I was lucky found a salesmen who did not want to loose a sale because the usual stuff.

David/Sodamo, you are remarkably handy. There are at least half a dozen guys here who I constantly think wish I had that talent
I expect Buckeye to have that dishwasher fixed promptly.

Busy day today, first quick visit to dermatologist for something itchy on my shoulder. Then foodshopping and off to lunch with two guys from Garden Club. Nice guys, seniors, married a long time. They are returning some tupperware to me that a mutual friend had, and we are meeting at the greasy spoon right down the street from me for lunch.

Then home and bring the rv around up front and plug it in. Off early morning tomorrow to dealership in Apex NC, other side of Raleigh. They are installing the new plastic cover on my awning that got knocked off by a tree limb. Hopefully we/they were sent all the right parts.

Grass is starting to green up, weeds first of course.

55 Sunday, 64 Monday, 49 now, supposed to rise a bit then start falling to near 38 later. Rest of the week is to be near normal with assorted forms of precipitation falling at various times. The strange winter continues.

Working on another cup of coffee, getting my mind ready for another day.
