Good morning!!!!

26°F and cloudy this morning, warming up into the mid-30s as the day progresses. The wintry mix stuff arrived in the area around 9am this morning in a spotty manner. Temps are not forecast to get above freezing until after 5pm. Hoping this doesn't become a serious ice storm. The professional guessers have taken to calling the end of the event a "plain rain," which they apparently like enough to use it over and over and over. Never heard that phrase used until yesterday, and now it has the Sammy Hagar song stuck in my head (Plain Jane). It's driving me insane.

Got a letter earlier in the week that appeared to be from our heath care insurance provider. They were requesting information on social security numbers and birthdates of everyone on the policy. The only one listed on the third page was the youngest stepson, who we removed from that policy over a year ago when he moved out of the house and got his own insurance through his employer. The Wife was irritated that she was not listed on the document. I was going to call them about it, but started to notice a couple of strange things about it. The date at the top of the form was 2018, and the letter mentioned needing the to keep the info straight to avoid the IRS penalty for not having insurance. First, I was wondering why they would send me a document from 2 years ago. Then, I remembered that the "penalty" part of the ACA was rescinded last year. Something screwy about this whole thing. So, last night I logged into the provider's website (BC/BS - Anthem) and checked my policy. Sure enough, everything there was as it should be. Now, I guess I need to call them after all and find out how someone was able to get this outdated information. This doesn't do a lot to help my already healthy distrust of giving personal information to other people.

67°F and only .08 inches rain. Maybe, just maybe today’s the day we get a brief respite and I can accomplish the needed task.

Picked up a nice rib roast yesterday and hope to slow cook that on the Primo.

RNG, please post pics of your progress on the system. It would be nice to be able to follow along as you go. You DO have 5000 more posts needed to get to the next level, so ....keep them coming.... you are going to have to step up your game....

We better clear that with DABSGT first, Ted. I have a feeling we're all starting to have trouble keeping up with this thread, as it's somewhat gotten away from the original idea of one quick post in the morning with a weather report and a tidbit or two about what's going on.

Besides, it took me nine years to get to 5000, so I'm not holdin' my breath for, what is it, Super Star Member?:laughing:

Yesterday on the radio, I heard a news story about a woman that had the title to her home stolen. Someone had filed paperwork saying that the house had been sold to them, had her evicted, and took possession of the place. She not only got kicked out, she lost all the equity she had in the place. And now there's a thing called Title Theft Insurance, which I'm not sure is real or yet another scam.:shocked:

Wife went to see her dad, I drove the BAT mobile (Big Azz Truck) to work so she could use my car.

Wife is visiting her dad. He goes into deep sleeps, they can’t figure out why. Is on a couple antibiotics. Tested neg for GBS.

I actually am looking forward to lawn mowing. I've just never been very good at just sitting around and right now there just isn't much to do outside. It's just been a cool misty day so far; not really raining, but just enough to have the windshield wipers on the intermittent setting.
