Good morning!!!!

ALL: thanks for all the well wishes and welcoming and looking forward to getting to know all of you. I live about 15 minutes from this spot on a 1/4 acre city lot, but hoping to move one day to something a bit bigger where I can put up or maybe buy a big shop to just make and fix stuff. if not i'll just watch most of you and do some more DIY around here.

even though I only have 1/4 acre we bought our home over 30 years ago and it feels bigger with this in our backyard and view. we also managed to raise 5 adults and had more than a few cats and dogs.

take care all and hope you are all staying warm as the snow is melting here now after a few days where a few inches almost shuts down our city.

David/MFW, nice to hear from you.

labs done at doc's, no results, but at 4am this morning I woke up and actually felt better. Ran all errands, rv is full and ready to go.
Bought some ensure to take with me, trying to eat as much as I can and salting things I didn't use to. Probably will take me some time to fully get over this.
So....off tomorrow morning, first stop only two hours away, will be my test run. If I feel ok, will keep going but this allows me to turn around and come home easily
if I feel crummy.

I bought as 6qt IP to take with me, something to play with on the trip. And I actually figured out why I couldn't get the rv microwave to work, had to set clock first. Between the micro and the IP, I should be fine.

Buckeye, hope your FIL improves quickly. May I suggest you use cruise control as much as possible to get pressure off right leg. I have leg cramps and that helps we a lot

"Between the micro and the IP, I should be fine."

Wait! Whuuut? No Air Fryer? No Slow Cooker?

Guess you'll be "roughing it" Drew???

55 with winds gusting 12-23.

Checked out at the lymphedema clinic, just some mild cardio edema residual from the valve replacement. I walked the entire lower floor of hospital because they kept sending me to the wrong place. A month ago I couldn’t have walked the first hall.

David Mossflower, good to hear from you.

Drew, happy travels.

Prayers for all of us, Lord knows we need them.

Drew- I am happy to read that you are starting to feel better. Good luck with the first of hopefully many legs of your journey.

Drives- Thanks for sharing. I tried, but failed to sample all the breweries in the Seattle area. I came close, but no cigar. :embarrassed: Pikes Place is amazing. I felt like I was walking through a sealife museum of good eats. Thanks for sharing your world.

Randy- Every day you have another + post about your improving health. I hope to read many more.

The various global weather models are all over the place this year (and last). Nowcasting is more the norm.

With today’s NWS advisory level winds and (surprise) snow I am really happy that I recapped my unused stovepipe yesterday. Weather predictions for my area for this weekend’s predicted storm system are all over the place but the hourly strip charts for this weekend are not encouraging:(. My crampons are seeing daily use and it looks like I’ll be using them for the foreseeable future.

Ditto. :) Nice cap on your truck. The dog's are saying "Stop messing around with pictures, LETS GO!!!" Do you ever take them to the beach?

Ok, I misunderstood you. Let's rephrase. IF they build a new fence, can I make them leave mine in place? If you say no, why must I let them on my land? They want to clear out the tree growth that has occurred to build a new fence.

If my memory serves me right, dubious, in the old days, when cattle were king, the rule in the west was Fence out not in. This was back in the free or open range days but if you didn't want the neighbor's live stock in your garden, hay field or whatever you had to fence them out. I'm sure in our modern times this has changed and I haven't heard anything about it for years.

Good morning to all! Low was at 25 at 05:45 this morning, currently 28 at 10:00 and snowing, maybe a high of 34.

The weather guessers were almost correct... a couple of days ago, they initially called for snow to starting the early morning hours. As of last evening, they predicted the precipitation would not arrive until late this afternoon. Well it happened right in between both .... I guess that is pretty good.... we are now slated for 3-6 inches, but could get as much as a foot....

SuperRNG, congratulations are in order for the big step forward with the solar project. I hope the weather cooperates and you can get the steel pipe.

Jay, sounds like we are getting the same weather conditions as you are all the way across the country!

David, the Ridgeline looks great, I am sure the pups appreciate it too! I have been trying to find the time to get into the big city and look at truck caps for the Nissan... just not a priority right now. Maybe by spring or summer things will quiet down and I will have free time to go shopping.... YOU DO NOT GO TO THE BEACH? Wow, you live in Hawaii.... I guess it becomes old ?....

Has anyone ever used google shopping ? I ordered an ash vac through them back on Jan 2nd. (Being sold through CostCo), estimated delivery Jan 10th. Took until Jan 6th to get a tracking number which only shows awaiting item from vendor ....and still shows that as of Jan 14th. I have chatted online with the google customer service and they are absolutely clueless, telling me everything from you should have it tomorrow to just wait a few more days . I called Costco online ordering, they have no way to check status of items ordered outside of their system.... now the ash vac advertised / purchased cannot be found online through Costco.....

Now we are having internet trouble , anything google related will not load. Our IP had a message on the phone that stated they were having problems with DNS and mail services.... not sure if that is directly related to not being able to use google stuff.... they will not answer the phone to find out...

Frustrating to say the least.... I am going to try and find a phone number to call google shopping customer service.

I vowed to myself to not let the above issues get to me , but I was able to distract myself by doing other things..... now that I am inside today because of the snow.... watch out... I feel it building.....

With that said, everyone have a great day! Prayers sent as usual, but a personal one too, asking for patience ....

Never heard of google shopping.

Hope those trees live after all that digging. He better water them in good, looks awful dry.

Parts of Colorado is still open range. You have to fence to keep them out.
