Reasonably good news. Severe nerve pinch replicates heart attack numbness, but since nothing in face, not heart. But...thyroid is malfunctioning, likely have to start synthroid, and making me feel awful, hot/cold/jittery, almost like the flu. At least it's treatable. Headed back to doc this afternoon to get referral to neurosurgeon who will see what they can do about neck, which seems to be the core of that issue, not heart issue. I can deal with a lot but no fooling around with heart/numbness. Glad it appears treatable unlike my tinnitus.

I overdid it with the boxes for sure Don. I've had plenty of aches and pains before but no widespread numbness.
It's pretty clear to me I can't take care of this place anymore. Now if only teenagers were available for hire, but they aren't.

While I was out there, I listened to the new album from The Who.

This is another one of those "whodathunk" moments ... a new album from The Who in 2020 (released in 2019, technically). Crazy.

A hazy moonlit 20ºF for today's low temperature; 34ºF with increasing sun and thinning cloud deck presently; and I am anticipating increasing clouds and potential for rain showers with high temperature ~40ºF sometime this PM.

Ted- Great job.

Eric & Don- My wife has an 8 and I have an 8+ and we both really like them. I'll never figure out how to use all the features.

RonJH- Thanks for sharing your Lua pictures. It was mostly hazy here, but the moon was still able to cast shadows. I've been pretty cautious walking on the ice, and I can still catch my clothes with those aggressive cleats = faceplant.

Drew- I hope all goes well with subsequent tests/procedures/treatment for your pinched nerve and thyroid. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

"... Getting is old is no fun when your body delays reporting over use."- Don. I do not like those kinds of surprises.:(

"Okay...as they say you just can't make this s..t up..... I guess this evening I'll need to have set down with the critters and have talk.? Thomas You'll probably have better luck with the deer than with your new neighbors. I read of a similar incident where the "problem" was the turtles, frogs and toads in the property owner's pond doing what turtles, frogs, and toads do keeping the new neighbors up at night.. Good luck.

RNG- Great news.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Taking an hour or so off from work to attend "Dads and donuts" at school with grand daughter. She is pretty excited, gets to ride in Papa's truck, and gets to have her Papa there when the other kids have Dads there..

Good morning to all! Low of 25, only going for a high of 35. Had a dusting, maybe a half inch of snow overnight. The weather guessers are undecided and sketchy on the forecast for today.... some say a few flurries, others are saying 3 to 4 inches.... my guess is as good as theirs....

Thanks for all the comments on the dirt work. It was definitely harder than I was anticipating, but hopefully is good enough. The grade was sloping towards the garage which would not have been good ..... at least now there is a swale diverting any runoff past it. Time and rain will tell. I am hoping to get some rain before the gravel gets placed, but probably not.

Drew, hopefully your doc will determine there is no concerning problems and you will just return home with orders to take it easy.... for a change.

Thomas, maybe get a picture book of wildlife for your neighbor so they can identify those pesky critters that will not stay in the yard!

RNG, great news about the building permit. Hopefully you will have the same success lining up the contractors! No secrets with the dirt work... used a lot of tips from here on TBN on how to adjust the angle of the box blade to achieve what I wanted it to do. Tilting and adjusting the links were the hardest part.... I wish I had T&T on the tractor... I have the remotes, but those specialty cylinders are expensive... dealer quoted $900 bucks for the two of them with hoses. I do not use it enough right now to justify the cost.... maybe in a year or two...

Priorities for attachments: 1) rear 7 ft grading blade. 2) 6 ft finish mower (sold the mower with the little MT125, worst mistake) 3) T&T setup. 4) Landplane. 5) ssqa forks. Now, if that unknown rich uncle kicks the bucket and I inherit $5K, I will be all set.....

I might try to get out in the shop today and make some shelves for the house. Would be nice just to play doing some woodworking.

Everyone have a great day ! Prayers sent.

Funny guy, that Thomas. :)

Ron, cutie. I wish I could sleep that good...

Drew, good news...I guess. Hope they get you patched up with the correct dosages.

Solar installation construction ahead. I'm watching.

hawkeye, glad you can spend time with grandaughter.

STORMS tonight.

Austin weather is predicting up to 2" hail, 75 mph wind gusts, possible tornadoes. I might go hide under a fallen tree.

67°F and 2.34 inches rain. Today’s forecast for more of the same. 7.19 inches for the storm so far. Glad I don’t have to shovel it.

Got word carport shipped from AZ to CA. No word when it gets on a boat.

An inside day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

That is cool, great memory for her.

Thomas story reminds me of the one where someone called the state highway dept to have the deer crossing signs removed, because people were hitting them with their cars so they shouldn’t be allowed to cross the road.

If you don't mind, which company did you get your carport from? I am interested in putting up carport/rv shelter for my travel trailer (if budget was unlimited, would get a 24'x54' with 12' eves).

45 and cloudy
Drew glad to hear it's not your heart, luck with nero follow up.
Was good to see some of the guys at the PD yesterday, every time I walk in the building there are fewer people I worked with and lots of new faces. But still lots of memories. Really was a fun job. One of my Academy Instructors would say "Where else can you go to work and drink coffee, shoot the **** all day and get paid"

I ended up with somewhat custom job 31x24. Frame only as I’m getting the panels locally. Also due to property I need extended legs on 1 side.

Prayers for you Drew. Hope they figure out what's up, and can help you. Try to relax, read or something to help avoid the anxiety. It only makes it worse.

Wng, you can borrow one of our chainsaws. :)

I have a spare smaller set of Oxyacetylene bottles, cart, regulators, and a cutting torch (I'm going to sell if anyone's interested). I need to get new hoses for the setup first.

Need to go get a haircut, car inspection, new auto license sticker. Quick way to spend a $100 bucks.

My sticker is $197 every two years.

Kind of good news Drew. Talking about heart problems get me worried. Hope they get you fixed up without surgery.

Thanks David, I have looked at their stuff, actually did the online build and liked it, but budget not there yet. I also need to figure out if I need permits.
