Just finished looking through a couple of thousands of pix from 4 trail cams. I swapped out cards yesterday down in southeastern Virginia and did some chain saw work on a new trail. Was glad that I only had one pic of a pair of coyotes. Last year there was a den that I found and I was getting pix of them nearly everyday. In November I had moved one cam to overlook an area where there is a small tree that had fallen on the ground. Nearly every night 1 to 3 raccoons would walk the length of it, and then one to 2 squirrels would do the same the next day...like clockwork.
..........
 WOW...no deer bear or cat or sort???

Yes, plenty of deer, turkeys, fox, etc. I only mentioned the raccoon and squirrel story.

Kyle & Rick the line clouds of the cold front are now visible in the Northwest. Will see in 2 hours if we get 2” hail and 75 mph winds or if it was media hype. It looks like an ordinary Texas cold front. IMG_3462.JPG

Don’t need the hail Don ... but some rain would be nice. Looks like it will get here between 8 and 10 p.m.

It just passed through. 61˚F lots of thunder but no excessive wind or rain, and no hail. Hope it's a non-event further South.

There was 1-2" hail, just west of San Antonio, about 20 minutes ago.

Good evening all. 62F this morning, overcast, windy. Overcast all day drizzle started late morning, rain about noon. rain gauge had 1.2 about 2 PM, heavy rain 6-8PM. Radar indicated possible tornado nearby, about 4 PM but soon fell apart. Currently cannot leave subdivision, both low water crossings closed, expect the one towards the entrance should reopen soon. Current rain gauge reading close to 4 inches rain. There is 1.73 feet of water going over dam spillway, the most since I have lived here (June 2015). This morning, kitchen cleanup, then trip to town for groceries, got truck into garage, and explorer in carport next door. Nap was interrupted by Tornado warning, it's windy now.
Eric good luck with new phone and phone company transition.
Ron nice pics of Lunas :)
Billy, some of the work was from while bike was in custody of first welder got it back looking like barn find, likely damaged rear derailleur and the hanger it attaches to. Other than chain maintenance won't much work the rest of the year. My chainsaw is tired also, need to check fuel line and filter and clean carb out.
Drew glad mtg with agents went well.
Thomas good luck talking to critters, maybe you can talk Boo Boo to be nice when he raids picnic baskets :D
Buckeye, we can get snow in the morning, I see a fire in wood insert tomorrow morning.
Randy, nice update.
RNG great news on permit, ant feedback from forum yet? Thanks review of new Who album.
Drew hope they can do some good on pinched nerve, guy out here was getting into BBQ got pinched nerve and after 2 operations still cannot hold knife and carve BBQ!
Hawkeye, sounds like nice time with GD. My GD still remembers when I was at a similar meeting 20 years ago.
Ted have fun with your snow, no matter how much you get.
DABSGT nice to hear roll call went well.
Glad you southerners did get what I got, hoping Bird missed the worst of it.
prayers for all.

Good morning all. Up early, stepped on scale and found I have lost 7 pounds in two weeks. I'll take it...but would like to get my
appetite back. Garden club head said my baked goods were yummy, surprising how most women like anything made of chocolate...

very warm out, 61 now, had to get up and turn heat down. That front comes through here tonight and tomorrow, some rain and lots of wind.
High of 74 today and 70 tomorrow.

Food shopping this morning, starting to fill fridge in rv, for trip next Friday to Florida. Going to try to take it slow today.
Hope nobody's home got hit by hail or high winds. I bet Rick has a new crop of tree debris from this.

40 right now...high in the mid-50's today.
I cleared the drive, walks and made the dump run yesterday. Only chore today is getting my truck inspected (about a month overdue) and an oil change

Good morning
the temp here is 32°F and going down to 25. Wind N 7 mph. Freezing rain and snow mixed in just for the heck of it. 2-4" of the stuff and the powers that be call it a 'winter storm event'. Whatever happened to the good old days when we used to get dumped on to the tune of at least a foot. Maybe we can blame our PM for that too. He gets the blame for everything else.

I have to go into the library this morning to pick up a book the D-I-L ordered. After that it will be energy conservation for the rest of the day.

Stay safe all

36 degrees this morning, going for a high of 42. We had light misty sprinkles most of the day yesterday. Then I went to bed early last night and the NWS radar was showing lots of activity and warnings and such west of us. I woke up about 9:30 p.m. and noticed it was dark in the house; no light in the clock, and my CPAP machine not running. And about that time I saw a light come on in the living room. My wife had just turned on a powerful battery powered light. But I don't think the power outage lasted more than 10 minutes; maybe less, so I went back to sleep. Now this morning, I went out about 4:30 a.m. and poured about 2.15" of rain out of my gauge.

Good morning! 43˚F behind the cold front which pass through at 7:45 PM. It was uneventful for us only 3/4" rain.
Need to check in at the garden this morning and find out the mystery of the missing air compressor. Our leader of the machine repair SIG reported that our new HF pancake air compressor was "replaced" by a larger craftsman air compressor and our new air compressor is missing. The question is did someone downsize and make the exchange? If that is what happened we got a good deal. Investigation to continue.

I wouldn't do that ;) if the new neighbors continue on with BIG veggie garden like the last home owners they won't have to worry about pruning.

Don, good luck with Compressor Capers.

just studied ten day weather forecast, warm and wet, wet wet. Rain almost every day for a week.

Bird, stay warm

weather forecasters are beating the drums. They must get bored in good weather and sit around inventing new overblown weather adjectives to try out on us.
