Just read that whenever you write the date this year (especially on legal documents) always write out the entire year "2020". If you just write 20 it is too easy to change the date by adding two numbers to the end.

My wife starts her 3rd semester of Spanish today in the language club.
That should come in very handy in your neck of the woods Don.
I'm not much beyond the Si, Bueno and gracias level, and sure wish I was.

Friend came over and picked up quite a few left over veggie seeds I was going to give away, to plant on her farm.
I gently unloaded on her about my damaged truck in that food pantry parking lot debacle, since she is on the board of the food pantry, and
she was shocked by the fact that no one ever got back to me after my admittedly aggravated email to the head of the place.
She promised this would go back to the board and get better signage. And as a devout Christian lady with all her kids in Christian schools, she was
really annoyed that anyone would use that language on that property.
I admit being dumbfounded by what the guy did. Beginning to think this may be a senility issue, and not mine...

I need a new headlight as the old one's glass alignment point broke off. One of those projector lamps/bulb, might ask about them finding one from salvage.
Bear took out the first one...now here I go again. 1100 bucks, truck only has 25k miles, need to get it fixed and likely will downsize to a smaller truck

Yep, with my foam gun. Results are pretty good but ... not as good as the Hardie siding or metal roof.

You guys were talking about Craftsman tools and returning them to Sears..... I found out that the Lowe’s stores that carry the Craftsman tools will replace them just as Sears would. All of the Sears in this state have closed, so Lowe’s is the only alternative. I have a few screw drivers to get replaced, I will get them together and maybe take them back this weekend. I will post my results with Lowe’s.

Good morning. It's 49ｰ here with very heavy fog ... probably less than 1/4 mile visibility. The sun should show up and burn this off by mid morning but ... I need to head out for the Richmond house by no later than 6 a.m. this will be an "interesting" drive. Our forecast is for 69ｰ this afternoon and a sunny weekend with highs in the mid 70's.

My early morning trip is partially to offload about half a p/u load of recycling in Richmond before the recycle truck comes by early this morning. They don't do much recycling ... out here in the frontier. I also need some hardware for a couple of shop projects that I can't source locally.

RNG ... glad you're home safe and sound.

David ... I had same thoughts about Sears a few months ago and gathered up several ratchets to get replaced. Hope you get your water heater sorted.

Randy ... we've had really good results using Wet & Forget on the north facing siding on our house. The effect seems to last. I apply it using my foam gun and pressure washer. I can do second story from the ground.

I use that on gravestones, never thought to try it on the house and buildings,I use 8/1 water to bleach with a low pressure sprayer, about 25 lbs at high setting. It easily reaches the peaks of all the buildings. It usually lasts about 1.5 years. I lost track of how long it痴 been while I was sick. I might try the Wet and Forget this time.

An overcast 33ºF for today’s low; a 37ºF presently; and I am hoping for an overcast afternoon with temperature in the low 40ºF’s. It was a good day for the diesel fuel run with dry conditions expected today and possible manageable snow this weekend and again early nest week. For all the TV ProMet hype about the warming trend and melting ice/snow it has not happened around here yet; ice is still hanging on trees. There was a lot of ice/snow storm tree damage around here in the hilltowns.

Rich- Good luck with the “countdown.”

David- I am sorry to read about Sophie’s slow healing and postponement for the next surgery, but she is healing and hope hope she stays on light duty around the place. And good luck with the water heater.

RNG- I am happy to read that you made it home safe & sound. We both really liked Downton Abbey.

This was 1 spraying with wet and forget. I bought it at Costco probably 8 yrs ago and finally tried it last fall. I couldn’t reach the top of the window from the ground with a pump sprayer, but it all used to look like the top. I need to reapply. Overall worked well.

Nope, propane here as well. From my research, consensus seems to be that unless a straight forward fix on a not too old unit usually more cost effective in long run to just replace unit. Always a hard decision given the cost. I know locally adding in the os of he service call pushes the numbers quickly. Guess I知 fortunate in that I can/will do the replacement myself, so basically cost of material and my ç´*ree time.

Our repair guy came back out yesterday and ran all the tests for fuel and water flow, power,etc. again. He was stumped and said the only other thing to try was to clean the burner area and fan assy. He found a small amount of what looked like cat tail seeds with the fine fluffy stuff but it appeared pretty clean over all. He put it back together and so far, it works fine. One thing he mentioned was that these units are designed to heat cold water and we have a solar heater upstream and he said that could cause problems. Time will tell.
