Thanks for all the Birthday wishes, guys!!!
Happy New Year to all my tractor friends! Happy Birthday also.
27 here going to around 33. Had some more light snow overnight, not enough to clean up. Still trying to scrape some of the ice off the driveway at the apartment house.
Will be visiting relatives most of the day to enjoy holiday festivities.(really good food too!) Hopefully won't eat to much and get sick.
Up early this morning with more gout joint pain. Rheumatoid doc wants me to try steroids for six weeks to see if it will go away. Not sure what the next step is if it doesn't work. I don't eat or drink most of the trigger foods for gout.
I will now start my countdown to my Thomas day in October as it is now under 200 work days left to go.(Can't wait. The days are dragging now!)
Hope everyone is safe and health for the new year!
We Get Glory brand canned goods here, I like them, but I can稚 eat canned stuff much anymore because of the salt.I just finished my lunch or dinner or whatever you want to call it near 1 p.m. I had canned blackeyed peas with snaps, Glory brand (we'd never tried before) "seasoned, southern style, mixed greens" that were very tasty, cornbread muffins (buttered, of course), sliced tomatoes, and slices of a sweet onion. As far as I'm concerned, it just doesn't get much better than that.
The only thing new or different was the Glory brand greens; a big 27 oz. can and says it's "slow simmered with onion, garlic, and spices in a savory broth." It was our first time to try this brand, but it won't be the last.
