Good morning,
temp is -18°F and going to a high of 3. Wind NW 5 mph. 30% chance of flurries.
I've got a dump run and town to do this afternoon. Nothing after that.
daugen; what cheap energy co$t$ were you talking about? regular gas = $1.229/L = $4.65/US gallon.
diesel fuel $1.329/L = $5.05/US gallon, home heating oil, I paid $1.20/L = $4.54/US gallon on my last fill up.
Electricity or hydro as we call it is a 3 tier affair. from 7 AM to 11 AM = $0.208 cents/kwh, from 11 AM to 5 PM $0.144/kwh and from 7 PM to 7 AM $0.101/kwh, statutory holidays are at the cheapest rate of $0.144/kwh.
Those prices are what I pay for living in the boonies, if I was to live in the big smoke (Toronto) my gas prices would be lower and I would have gone nutz years ago. The only bonuses are that I live on a poorly maintained gravel road (the snow plow comes down the road sometimes), on 5 acres and only pay out $1,000.oo/year land taxes. I cannot see my neighbours, I can hear them from time to time. I have everything from Moose down to rabbits wander through my property at night.
No daugen, the grass is NOT greener on the other side of the road, at least not on this side.
Have a good day all
