Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 6:15AM. Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High 52F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.
The front just moved in, bringing rain showers and gusts topping 25MPH so far. Might have some tarps to tie down once it gets light enough to see.
Hope you feel better soon, Eric. The zinc lozenges seem to do a good job of minimizing the symptoms and shortening their duration.
That's quite a mouthful, Randy. Might be time for an acronym?:confused2:
It's a good thing I'm not a smoker, and that gasoline evaporates quickly, as I had enough of it on the ground yesterday. I'll spare you the details, but the fuel filter was partially clogged, and once changed, the fuel pressure regulator wasn't regulating, and not enough pressure was being provided to the engine. Today I get to see how much Subaru wants for a new one. I also found that the fuel filter is located AFTER the fuel pump, so there's a pretty good chance that whatever clogged the filter also damaged the old pump. The ex-mechanic had one of his flunkies clean out the fuel tank, so I can add that to the list of jobs that weren't done correctly.
The testing took so much time, I didn't get a bike ride in, but if the new tire still holds air, it'll probably be fine. Looks like we're in for on and off showers through the weekend. Rain for Friday is on again off again, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll be dry for the start of the trip. If not, it won't be the first, nor the last, time I've been out on a motorcycle in the rain.
Tweaked the chili again yesterday morning, adding more ancho chili powder and some kidney beans, and another day of slow cooking really paid off with another wonderful meal. The rest'll go into the freezer today so I'll have something to look forward to in the months ahead.
Hump day already. Humf!
