Poured second cup of coffee. 36° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with periods of sun. GD spent 4 hours deep cleaning house yesterday. Got a good attitude about how to make some money. Plus a honor student at school. Never got to leaf blowing. All though she wanted to do it. Got to save something for me to do. On the list again for today. Need to pick up new glasses and get some grocery shopping done before company gets here on Wednesday.

Wngsprd, I have been seeing a lot of critters on my cameras lately. Similar to your list. But adding a Ground hog and Opossum. See a cat and Pepe at the feeders at the same time. They do keep there distance.

Looking, my problem was not finding right size socket for anode rod. Was breaking to loose and keeping tank for rotating. Ended up using electric impact to break it loose.

Drew, the last of a pot of stew is always the best. Especially it's a couple of days later. Neon and Vega were throw away cars. Drive them until doors fall off. They both had welded in place door hinges.

Don, moth balls for ant control not good. Hope your mom is ok. I find that Terro Liquid Ant Killer works very well for in house ants. But we do not have TX type ants.

Don, read a big article yesterday on Del Webb's first Sun City near Phoenix, back in 1960...said cars were backed up on the highway for 2 miles on the day it opened. Now has 38,000 residents and still going strong. The article went on to talk about how certain cities will have an over supply of houses as baby boomer generation dies/or moves to assisted living. because the younger generations have settled elsewhere. Arizona and Florida may be hardest hit because of so many retirees moving there.

We were given quite a tour of that Sun City by a gentleman at the Visitor Center on February 6, 1990. How time flies. That was a long time ago.

Good Monday Morning. It's 53° and clear here even though NWS is trying to convince me that it's really foggy? High today is forecast to get to 80°.

I'm planning to hook up the 3-point chain harrow today and level gopher mounds in two pasture as well as the areas where three of the burn piles were. Maybe light another burn pile this morning if winds stay calm.

I cooked some country ribs, in the Instant Pot, for dinner last evening. They came out so tender, that it was a bit of a challenge getting them to the serving plate in one piece. 40 minutes, then a 15 minute natural pressure release.

Drew ... your stew looks great! I'll likely make beef stew next weekend as a nice change from Thanksgiving leftovers.

WNG ... my suggestion of moth balls was less than clear. Sorry. You only use them outside and they're not intended to kill anything. They will "repel" skunks, possums, etc. from areas where you don't want them setting up home. At our prior ranch in Fayette County, the house had pier and beam foundation. Skunks thought under the front porch was a great place. I could shoot the moth balls under the porch with a leaf blower. Viola ... No more skunks and only had to retreat every 2-3 years.

Looking ... if I'm not mistaken water heater anodes need a 1 1/16" socket. Make sure to use Teflon tape or pipe joint dope on your replacement anode. Thanks for the reminder ... I need to replace the anode in the water heater in the shop living quarters. We have two Rinnai tankless water heaters in the house.

I read that article also and can see the reasoning behind it, but then there is this article 219 Real Estate Trends for Baby Boomers, Gen Xers and Millennials that says the opposite because the baby boomers are waiting later in life to downsize and living longer and the housing market is still booming - go figure. The house for sale on our street had a contract on it in a month and the sales of new and used homes here is up from the previous year. The Florida villages and Phoenix Sun City are much bigger. We also have a healthy tech businesses creating new jobs in the Austin and Round Rock area and we are considered the suburbs of these towns. Drew can give a report on the housing market the next few years as he will be a baby boomer downsizing also.

We visited friends there in Feb of 1993. They took us to Grand Canyon, we climbed squaw peak, had lots of fun.

This was their house.

We’ve known this couple since the 80s. Her husband died yrs ago, and she is now in assisted living near us. He was a car guy, who restored old junk cars and made them look like new. He was probably the first kubota owner I knew.

I have lots of outdoor cameras, none doorbell. They will constantly pick up motion, every branch blowing, every leaf blowing, even cloud shadows passing by. I had to turn off phone notifications, was constant.
Don’t know if ring filters them better.

I use the Ring doorbell and it works a described! You can set the sensitivity many ways. I have the base model and you do not need to have a doorbell wiring installed.
