Hawkeye- Good luck with the job plan and I am happy to read that your daughter is doing better. I hope that her ribs and lungs heal quickly. My + thoughts and prayers.

Drew- Good luck with your route and intended stopovers.

David- Thanks for sharing your generator move. I love the supervision from a safe place.

I got our septic tank pumped out today; good for another 3 years. My honey dipper guy may be retired by then.

Unexpected sunshine this PM melted most of the snow around here. Maybe I'll get an inch Thanksgiving from some wraparound snow after the Wednesday rain event. Thanksgiving will be a decent day to smoke a lamb roast and bake rosemary encrusted baked potatoes. Just the wife and I for Thanksgiving this year which is the usual norm. Sunday-Monday is starting to look interesting weather-wise.

PT gets easier, must be getting better. I walked in without the cane. I told work I’m returning the 9th.

Nice day, sunny, 50°

Should be putting up Christmas lights. Maybe tomorrow.

Wife baked a ham, cooked green beans for Thursday. Going to see dad, first time since my illness.

Dad sold 4 cows last week, only has 4 left. He finally made the decision to get rid of the cows. A local dr, who owns multiple farms, says he would like to buy the round baler. This dr hauled dads cows to market.

Wife wants to use the fire pit tomorrow night.

Called extang about my truck bed cover pulling out at the corners. Lifetime warranty. They said email pics and copy of my receipt, so did that. Until I looked them up to see about buying a replacement cover, I didn’t realize it had lifetime warranty. Fortunately I was able to pull up online the amazon receipt from 10 yrs ago

Was out and about today on the very back corner of our property and found this 36" diameter White Pine had gone down in our recent high winds. Did the math and it was approx 180 years old. A true antebellum tree. I need to find a sawyer...

Good evening all. 45F for the start, mostly clear, calm wind. Sky became partly cloudy, wind light with moderate gusts, and high temp of 67F. Choir practice to start morning, we worked 2 hours this morning prepping for Christmas programs (only two this year). Had to go to town to pick up Stepdaughter, she had another round of dental work, and didn't want to drive home after the drugs. bike ride, no nap and dinner over at stepdaughter's house.
Billy good report on splitter starting and eagle sighting
Drew bowl looks interesting.
PJ cool owl story, mothballs work on mice too.
David congrats on hand and Foot, see what happens when big projects behind you :) Selling generator should help cash flow. 3 bosses :)
RNG hope you get van done for Thanksgiving.
Drew, sorry DR vac is giving you hard time.
prayers for all.

The big Texan.

yes, funny thing that place even has an associated rv park which runs a limo into the restaurant.
I'm staying at another place but clearly this is quite the institution.
Thanks RNG. I'll print that out.

David that is the biggest gen I've ever seen. The replacement must take up half that space.
You have some excellent helpers/supervisors there.

A warm 68 today, 70 tomorrow. After seeing urology doc this morning, will be a good day to be outside.
going to put up solar powered xmas lights today at end of lane. Folks always slow down to look.
For now, nice cup of coffee and a hot shower awaits.

and a better barn pic

I stopped taking my nerve pain meds a couple weeks ago. Still get some pain in the feet, but not hands. Still get tingling but not as bad.

Oldest son just left to go workout.

No pt today. Since weather will be nice, might work on camper trim.

Poured first cup of coffee. 33° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 51° with a chance of rain in afternoon. Got leaves blown away from buildings. Mulch some of them with mower. But they are so thick that I need to get Trac-Vac out to pick them up. Hope to get that done before rain arrives.
Got my glasses from Sam's. Couple hours later my eyes are burning and nose is stuffed. May have to take them back because nose piece is made out of something that I am allergic to. It was a mad house at Sam's Club while I was shopping.

David, we had a generator at work that big. Used it to power machines that went overseas. Glad you found a buyer.

Drew, nice barn picture. At stop at Don's should find a restaurant that has Don's diet on the menu. I ate some very good meals with them.

Hawkeye, glad daughter is doing better. Good luck with new job. GD allergy to Tide. I use All. It does not have all the smelly stuff in it.

Prayers and best wishes for all.

Good Morning All.

32 now, headed to 64 later. I took down all the fall decorations yesterday, on and off the tractor a half dozen times or more, could not have done that a couple of weeks ago. Carried table and chairs last night. I still need to take it slow because I haven’t done anything to fix the CHF yet, but that’s coming in a couple of weeks.
Heart line nurse called me, like every Monday and told me don’t overdo it. She also gave me strict orders on my food for Thursday. She said Thanksgiving night and Friday after are the worst for heart failure patients to end up in the hospital due to too much sodium. I think I can behave knowing the consequences.

Have a good day guys. Prayers.

The fields are still soaking wet and won't be helped by this wet 'n' windy start to the day. Never mind, still plenty to do inside. I will try and finish the top for a workbench that I have been slowly putting together for ages. Much of it is made out of scrap pieces of ply, laminated in many layers to make it stiff - it was a good excuse to play with the brad nailer and a couple of pints of wood glue.

BEF, hope you have a good time catching up with your dad, remarkable that he has kept cows for so long.

JB, I have heard reference to honey dippers before on here and thought it was perhaps something to do with humming birds. Reading your post, I finally understand it's a different kind of humming.

Talking of stinky things, a few days ago my neighbour was slurry spreading and guess which way the wind was blowing ? I had a fading head cold at the time and ten minutes later the stuffy feeling was history :)
