Good morning!!!!

Good evening all. 72F this morning, partly cloudy, light wind. Clouds increased through the day, wind picked up through the day, brief thunderstorm at 5PM, less than .3 in. rain, and wind picked up more. High temp 95F HI 100F, but temps started dropping after front passage. Chapel to start the day, then meal delivery. Put the old Weber kettle out for the taking after swapping wheels with the Schumacher battery charger. Was going to do some sandburr removal, but too hot.
Check, nice pics!
Billy, sorry to hear about foot pain.
Don I had issue with my ice maker a year ago, timer had quit working. was easy to remove ice maker (video on you-tube). When researching found ice can freeze in bad places, which id why I suggested removal and thawing out. need to find out if timer is working if no ice keeping the arm up.
Buckeye good to hear less nerve pain and you made it to church!
prayers for all.

Good morning, unlike for some, seems to be never ending cold and wet fronts here. Too wet to plan on doing anything except the essential outside for most of today. I don't mind too much as I have a new toy to play with.

The last time I wanted to buy some panel pins to fasten hardwood door trim, I couldn't get the length I wanted as everyone else seems to have switched over to nail guns sometime in the last century. I ended up buying panel pins that were too long, cutting them to length and then grinding each to a point. That was a "never again" moment. Well now I have retired the hammer for small work and bought myself an 18 gauge brad nailer.

Pinning wood in place with this while gluing up is a revelation. It is so easy that, like Don with the laser, I almost feel like I'm cheating.

Wng, hope your foot soon recovers. Hopping on one leg while throwing Frisbee must make an intriguing new game for Coco.

Great autumn pics again Check.

Pin nailers ARE very handy for glue ups Eric. I got a Porter Cable pneumatic pin nailer about 10 years ago to go with my PC Brad Nailer. The pin nailers are like having a helper.

I have a porter cable. Not sure if a pin or brad nailer, I’ll have to look. Didn’t know there was a difference till now.

Good Morning. It's 72° this morning and forecast says 84° this afternoon. The alleged "cooler" front hasn't got here yet .... and it won't last long as it's supposed to be back to the mid 90's on Wednesday and Thursday.

I need to get trimming, around the house and shop, done this morning so, I can listen to the Astros at noon from one of the tractors.

Astros and Yankees can both move on to play each other today, with wins, Randy.

We did finally get our Fox Sports 1 back on Dish Network ..... I had to watch Astros on my iPad Saturday evening.

Roy ... glad you're refreshed after your long weekend.

Don ... good luck with your ice maker.

Thomas .... don't forget ..... NO slow roll this morning.

Hope everyone has a great start to your week.

Prayers to all.

One big difference between the old fashioned finishing nails/brads (sorry, Eric, those are the terms we use over here instead of panel pins) and the ammo used in the electric and air nailers is that the end opposite the head is somewhat blunt for the ammo, so it cuts through the wood instead of spreading it apart. That results in much less splitting when nailing thin or narrow parts, especially in redwood or pine.

All of my air staplers/nailers have come from Harbor Freight, since I work in wood so infrequently I couldn't justify the cost of a top-of-the-line tool. Back when I bought mine, the only brand they carried was Central Pneumatic, and now I see they have a couple more. One of my nailers is a little finicky with the trigger safety once in a while, which I suppose means it's on its way out. But for twenty-five bux I can replace it. Unlike its hand tools, Snap-On rebrands many of its pneumatic and electric offerings, charging a handsome premium in the process and holding back the lifetime guarantee.
