Jay glad you are feeling better.
David way to slow down and take a little embarrassment instead of a rollover.

Scrambler, is this the type of wine bottle wall/fence you will be building?

81ー already. We need rain.

We dont buy each other gifts, stopped that many yrs ago. If we want something we pretty much get it, but we talk it over first.

I ordered me my gift for getting out of rehab. Will come next week. My wife has been wanting me to get a new one..

PT evaluation today.

Did walk down to basement yesterday, first time down there in months. I can do stairs, but only once or twice a day. While i can do things now, i cant do them very long.

Today ive been home a month since rehab. Hard to believe. Rehab seemed so long. 2 months ago tomorrow was my last treatment, and i couldn't move my legs at all. Ive come a long way.

Wife gets home soon so was busy cleaning up some. Took a shower without help. Trimmed my beard low. Ran the dishwasher. Busy morning.

Careful going down into the basement. We don't want to have to gen up BEFCON II to extricate you.

There used to be a popular reminder of replacing the back up batteries in the smoke detectors when you changed the time for Daylight Savings. Since that has changed to almost a 9 month vs 3 month span, I decided to start using the equinoxes to equal 6 months. So did it today...imagine my surprise when I see the date I wrote on the batteries was just over 2 years ago.

They still had 8.95 V remaining. :)

Didnt have PT per se, but he evaluated me. I did walk up stairs, down facing backwards for him. I get 2 more home PT, then he evaluates me at end of next week.

He wants me to get out and see how i do in the real world before, so i can tell him if i have problems. I said what about im not supposed to go out, he said ignore that. Just be safe. Now you tell me.

Most of my self PT has come from me doing work around the house, not their exercises. He thinks it's good ive been going up and down stairs.

Wife said a date this weekend.

One little rain shower headed our way. Looks like it's breaking up on radar.

I've seen the Horizontal Bottle in Buildings, interesting but not a project I want to get into.
Mine will be Vertical, the only major problem is the drilling of the bottles.
Someone has suggested a diamond bit, I will check that out, thinking a carbide bit might do it too.
Don't need a wall in its true sense just a... fence, that is what I should have called it from the beginning.
I will be building a "Wine Bottle Fence" just for color ! LoL !

Diamond is what you want. They sell carbide with a diamond like coating. The small diamond crusted dremel bits, with patience can do the job.

Sounds like most have been busy the last few days, I mowed the lawn (perhaps last mow of the season) Saturday, then helped my wife get her painting set up (she did some prepping and priming a few weeks ago and wanted to get paint on it before weather prevents it). She got most of what she wanted to paint done.. weather is turning cold so likely done for this year. I worked on cleaning up the wood from dismantling the old deck (loaded into pickup and unloaded behind playhouse out of the way.

I planned on doing more in the new deck, but my back was hurting pretty bad, rested and went out later to measure and layout.. wife and I both too tired to get it done correctly. I figured my daughter and SIL that were visiting on Sunday could help a few minutes and get it all done.. but after loading the stuff they wanted to move to their new house, I was done for the day.. They borrowed a pellet stove we were not using, a radial arm saw that we gave them and a drywall lift. They figured it would be hard to get that stuff out of shop once travel trailers were put away for the winter.. they also returned my framing nailer (that I need for deck).

Stay safe, prayers for those in need.

Hope your back gets better soon. Back aches no fun.

BEF, Date Night! Take some microwaved warmed frozen burritos down to the water's edge. :)

So on Friday, I was carburetor guy again. The old HPX Gator was barely running. It doesn't get used much anymore. I remembered putting some iffy gas in it months back, and it went bad. Got the carb off, cleaned and blew out all the very small holes and jet orifices. Went to Deere to get a gasket and o-ring for it. They had the gasket, but not the o-ring. Will be here today or tomorrow. I put a metal bucket under the fuel line and pumped all the gas out. Put in a tad of fresh and pumped that through. Put the carb back on, and she purrs like a kitten. Nice.

Then I remembered smelling gas when working on the riding mower. Took off the covers and found that the little screw in the bottom of the carb was only finger tight.....ooops. Cleaned the fins on the cylinder and head. They get dirty and if grass gets clogged in them, that's how they burn up. Went to Deere a 2nd time (glad it's close), and got a short pre-bent vacuum hose that fits to the fuel pump. I was flabbergasted when they told me the price. $0.71 for a Deere part, in a little Deere plastic baggie, sealed up. I had to call my friend and tell him I got out of John Deere for only .71 cents. :) Rider purrs like a kitten. Nice.

My new neighbor had 2 more bobtail loads of road base gravel delivered on Friday. 2 weeks ago he had 2 loads delivered, then he had a tracked skid steer delivered and he spread it himself. I told him Friday night at the football game that I had my box blade already mounted, and could spread that gravel for him in a jiffy. We did it Saturday morning. Came out nice.

I'm waiting for cooler weather to shred the fields for the winter. They need cutting badly.

Good evening all. 74F to start the day, heavy rain, calm wind. Periods of partial clearing then spotty rain showers, radar estimates about 1.5 inch rain for the day. high temp 88F HI 98. 63 right now...high in the mid-60's.

Got antibiotics yesterday and still taking Ibuprofen...hope this jaw heals up soon

Roy, we are all pulling for you, ah, no pun intended...;)
Heal fast and get better. More ice cream.

68 going to 88 today, heat is back. Should be a nice day, I hope to finish painting the garden shed today.
Landscaping crew comes this morning, may be tied up with them, moving implements to make way for rv storage, plus
doing some aerial tree work with the FEL/man lift. Now with my glass tractor roof I'll be able to see what's going on.

I have to admit when you do this by yourself, having house guests can be tiring. Fun, of course, but tiring.
No fruit to chop up this morning...bran muffin and yogurt will do.

When my friend showed up on Friday, I had my Kindle in my hand and I put it down somewhere. Neither of us could find it in three days.
Thankfully I have my old one with a cracked screen, so I could still read with that, but a Kindle is not a small device.
Boy I know how to lose things.

Coffee is done brewing. 50° with a few clouds. Heading to 76 with partly cloudy skies. Did not get lawn mowed yesterday. On top of the list today. Need to start getting thing ready for winter now that fall has arrived.

Kyle, maybe my tire & wheels helped pay for your hose.

Drew, not sure how you could loose a Kindle. I have 2 of them and nobody to use them.

Don, watch out for them tree snakes. They will poke you.

Hawkeye, get some rest for your back.

Buckeye, LS, Jay Roy, and Randy, hope you are all continuing on the mends. Prayers sent.

Good Morning All.
