The rifle, a 10/22 carbine, had the standard wooden stock. Not a bad looking stock, actually.
The Hogue is a better grip and definitely a better butt pad.
The wooden stock has a barrel band. That's not used with the Hogue stock, so the barrel is free-floating
Roy, that stock looks good. I bet it's much more comfy than the original, especially against your cheek on a cold day.
For me a smaller 10 shot mag would have more appeal. That big 25 round mag makes it look too almost too well endowed - a bit like that Japanese pole vaulter in the Olympics who would have cleared the bar if it hadn't been for his dangling bits :laughing:
