I struggled to wake up this morning. The fingers on my right hand thought still thought they were curled around the handle of a pointing trowel. It was a long day yesterday but at least the snug wall is now done and as requested, here is a proof-of-roof pic, taken yesterday morning.

It won't win any beauty prizes even after I clean off the bricks, but should at least remain standing for a good few years. This is the view from the windows.

You lucky, lucky man. On the occasions when my wife has bought her own present, I have felt simultaneously pathetic and euphoric
Belated birthday wishes to Mrs Kyle.
My wifey's favorite hobby is the modern equivalent of window shopping....online. She's always looking for deals. Some women just like to see men "sweat" about getting them a pleasing gift. I would have better luck shooting rubber bands at the moon. So my wifey makes it easy on the both of us. She gets what she wants and we both don't have to suffer a fool's errand.

Maybe you should get your wifey an over/under shotgun like my friend's dad did....that'll teach her.
Bricks looking good. Should have stuck/snuck a few lucky pennys in the mortar. Yes, change hands. Hee hee.
56 going to upper 80s. Summer is back.
Had a special treat yesterday...saw a bobwhite couple herd their chicks into the rose and honeysuckle hedge in our yard from the nearby field. They must have had a late nest as the approximately 8 chicks were tiny. I manage a lot of our land for wildlife, especially hoping to help the quail recover. With the number of foxes, coyote, hawks and bobcats around here, it will be a challenge. But they have lots of cover and food sources.
Summer is back here too, in fact I don't believe it has left. ( I wish I had some of your current summer)..

All Week looking at temps in the 98F-100F with feels like temps even higher.
I like reading about your wildlife/hiking excursions. I bet your place is gorgeous. My friend has left a row of wild rose hedge on his property for decades....all for a covey of bobwhite quail. They usually number only about a dozen birds, year in year out. Fireants are number 1 predator.

49 right now...high about 80.
Chores: Dump run, mow...after that, depends on how I feel.
There were 17 teeth pulled yesterday, including some broken off. The dentures are in...uppers are fine, lowers are chaffing and quite painful.
Ouch. Hope that things smooth out.
Finished mowing the field with the ZT,. Wind blowing wrong, got covered, and since i was covered, mowed the yard also.
Walked up stairs for first time since GBS, using my better left leg for each step. Actually did it twice. Still scooting down.
Getting better each day, but noticed im walking with left foot turned out. Need to work on that.
Forgot all about trying to get BH on Kubota.
Good to hear you are getting better one day at a time. Prayers.
Dave Sodamo, I call those a**hole pucker factor moments. The split nano second you realize you went a nanometer too far over the edge. Glad all is good. I've been meaning to ask, with the Pacific ocean right there, do the prevailing winds bring the storms in from the sea, or away from you?
Randy, hope your keeping that bronchitis in check. Prayers.
Ron, nice car. Yes, TBN was down for a while. Bad Gateway error. Wonder what happened?
The Don, in the money. Shut up and play cards. lol.
J, nice pics. Southern BBQ huh? I saw on a youtube video about some guys from Germany that had been over here in Texas, and went home and made them a large pit on a trailer. They take it to fairs and such in Germany to sell Texas style BBQ. I don't remember what wood they burn. They were making money as long as they had meat to sell.
Prayers for those in need.
