that's a lot of rain Farmer and your chickens don't swim...

so a loafing shed is another name for a "run in shed" ?

all errands run, clothes changed for sweat city, 93 today, need to take all my goodies from TSC down
to the barn. Motor oil, roundup, premix 2 cycle, all the normal stuff, plus couldn't resist a few more hitch pins.

Tornado Damages Dock in Western Kentucky | The Weather Channel

this is why all boaters/captains should have a weather radar app on their smart phone, or radar on their boat.
You can usually see these things coming...
My Ram truck goes nuts when a tornado alert is posted, flashing large print text on the nav screen
not a good day boating at all.
Probably seriously scared those folks.
get thee to a shelter

I see pontoon boaters in this video who likely have never seen bad weather, worse is the second boat in the rear getting blown over
who knows where. Probably into the weeds. At least pontoon boats are very stable and have a low CG.
You think on a lake this is really safe. Well, usually...but you have to watch the weather.
And it can sure change quickly in hot weather.

enjoying my last gasps of a/c before i walk out into the heat.
Going to crank the floor fan up in the garden shed, put a cd in the little clock radio, and put
the place back together. Should be an easy job.

Well, the animals can run in, but then they just loaf.

LOL.

I should mention it is barely cow high. It also had some contraptions, cloth based, that would hang down for the cows to rub against as they "loafed". Probably some chemical mix for bugs and what not.

Cow high, meaning me at 6'2" has to bend over to get into it. I always smacked my head moving stuff to it.

67°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 89° today. Some of those surprise thunderstorms yesterday were rather active. Lots of lightning, and saw some videos of heavy hail in some places. Temperature dropped back into the 60s in less than an hour. Didn't hate that part.

Got some unscheduled exercise for my adrenal glands when I got home from work yesterday. Found the door unlocked, alarm off, and one of the dogs barking nonstop from somewhere in the house. Barking dog was the foster in a crate in the bedroom, and the rest of the house was found to be intruder-free. Fired off a text message to The Wife reminding her of how "fun" these little exercises are. As it's not the first (or even second) time this has happened, she's going to have a stern talk with the nephew today.

Good report from doctor visit, daughter's vision improving, doctor a bit surprised (in a good way) with the improvement. Daughter is happier, but of course since it is related to MVA (motor vehicle accident), they had to collect payment ($100 before exam, balance at conclusion). She can then submit to car insurance for reimbursement..

Thanks all for the prayers and + thoughts.

Good morning all,

Not sure what the temp is, had to wear a jacket on my walk this morning, but wish I didn't have it after about 20 minutes. It's sunny and nice now. I've been helping a neighbor put up his 40 X 72 X 17 steel building. It will be his home and garage. Looks nice so far.

Prayers for all, have a nice day.

A pleasant surprise this morning when I looked under the pickup, only 1/2 cup of windshield washer fluid was in in the bucket and directly under the reservoir was dry. I used a funnel and a rag when I filled it yesterday evening and made sure none of the gallon spilled. I guess it self healed. Even after driving it 10 miles and washing the windshield I could not get it to leak. I declared it fixed, with reservations. I suspect, that after about an hour, the silicon grease I put on the connections made the 12 year old rubber seals supple and a latent seal occurred. That freed up my morning which was used to get and hour of seat time at the gardens and mow my yard.

The saga continues. I took my front tires / wheels into the shop this morning. The owner was out so, while they were mounting the new front tires, I asked the lady who runs the counter how soon they could get new tires for my rear wheels? All were new in 2/14.

Fronts are Carlisle AT 27x9-12 and rears are Carlisle AT 27x11-12.

She checked the system and said she could not find that size, in same Carlisle AT tire as the front. Whuuu? I don't want different tires from and rear!

So now ..... they're getting me a complete set, front / rear, in Carlisle "Versa Trail" tire which are a new line as I understand. But now I am unable to use ...... the most used vehicle on the ranch, for another day. Groan!

We put Carlisle AT - 489 series tires on our older Gator and I really like them, the traction is superb.

I guess it self healed.

Don is now the hose whisperer...that was a nice outcome.

too hot out to get overly involved but did go wash my car, which was long overdue, vacuum, etc.
Got it back in garage before water spotted, dried it off, all it did was beep constantly at me for activating a motion sensor of some sort.
I hear Mercedes has a button on their new models that turns off all outside sensors, marked Carwash.
Living in a town without a car wash is interesting.

Hawkeye, good news on your daughter, every day hope she is better.

doing some wash, otherwise intend to do nothing.
Lawn mowing was put off until tomorrow. Or the next day...
