Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #95,791
90 and sunny out, nice day, looking at that glacier sure cools me off.

carpenters just left, put a new counter top in garden shed, ripped off old wood, put down 3/4 plywood and then formica'd over that.
New sink, cheesy but just fine for application and I wanted a hand held sprayer to wash things off.
Sink made in Pennsylvania believe it or not. About 15 Made In USA labels slathered all over box. Faucet sure wasn't, typical plastic junk but it held water.
We ganged one cold to both knobs and it was worth it, got more water pressure that way with both open.

165 materials, 400 labor for father and son. Good value. I rounded up.

Tomorrow morning early when it's cool I'll go in and straighten the shed up, trying not to junk too many things on top of that nice big surface.

So sorry to hear about your nephew Lynn.

Yesterday it dried up in the afternoon, allowing me to finally to mix up a dry sand/cement screed for inside the bottom rim of the water tank and put the liner in. I got lucky while trying to think how to hold the big nut on the outlet pipe while I tightened from inside. My scrap pile revealed this old bracket that only needed the slot opening by a couple of mm.

BEF, you should have given us the "Video contains Mild Peril" warning !
Please tell your son that most of the animation is as good as those I have watched with my grandkids.
The music was particularly good, very much like the original series.
A bit more work on the story line would be nice - though that never troubled the Thomas the Tank Engine books either :)
He is working thru the history of the railroad before the thomas timeframe. Apparently RWAudry wrote a complete history of the fictional island, and my son is trying to go thru the timeline. He has a few more videos planned.

He records all the scenes using trainz software. He writes the script, then we record the voice parts. I'm Mr Anonymous in the credits, lol. I was the guy standing on the barrel. My wife was the engine Lily.

He creates some of the routes and scenery. He then edits it all using corel, and adds the voice tracks and music. We had a private viewing party before he released to utube, lol.

He did work in some cows mooing.
This is the longest one yet, takes a lot of time. We recorded the voice tracks back in the spring. I think he wrote the script last winter break.

Dont know if he could do something with a farming simulator.

Ron, roof looks nice. Light colors is the way to go. Mine are pewter gray.

sure wish they had put better replacement shingles on my home after the hurricane ten years ago, before I got here.
20 year "standard" shingles already showing heat damage on side that faces the sun in the afternoon. Front of house looks fine, thankfully, rear is
almost starting to lift in spots. Yeah, it may stay on your roof for 20 years and not leak but what if it looks bad?...
Lighter colors definitely. Too bad they don't make the solar shingles inexpensively, seems like a natural solution. Like constantly reaping a sun harvest on your roof.
Ron, your job looks very professional and high quality.

tenant farmer on problem farmer's land subcontracted spraying duties this time thankfully, my letter to him threatening to take him to Court apparently made the right impression, professional rig came in, sprayed what I'm sure is Roundup over everything, and I smelled absolutely nothing while sitting on golf cart on my land right next to this land. Versus last time when the tenant farmer came with his own hokey rig pulled by an ATV on a windy day. That pro machine set the chemicals down low, was fun to watch, he probably mildly cursing me because my rented land is a cut out in the big overall field and he has to do some backing and filling to reach everything. He just wheeled that big rig around with the arms way out there. Sure wouldn't want to catch the tree line with one of those...

A sunny 57ºF for today’s low temperature; a sunny 81ºF presently, probably close to today’s high temperature. Spent most of today mowing and mulching the garden.

I lost a roommate in college and a close personal friend to suicides.

“…. But I saw even more "attempt suicides" in which the person didn't really intend to die; was just looking for sympathy.”- Bird. I agree. Some successful suicides are/were accidental. I worked with a lot of self injurious “cutters.” Suicidal gestures can be can be considered attention seeking, stress reducing, and/or manipulative in nature or a combination.

David- Thanks for sharing your vacation.

RonJH- Nice looking roof. I agree with BEF about light colored roofing.

BEF- Your son has serious computer skills. Thanks for sharing.

Lynn- I hope to read more + posts about your Sister.

Drew- Thats a nice looking and functional looking garden work bench.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

BEF, that's some good talent your son has. I remember Ringo and George Carlin narrating some Thomas tales.

Ron, nice roof. Your place looks great.

Sodamo, thank you.

Drew, bench top too nice to dirty.
I hear you 5x5 on the spray overdraft.

Rick, ATV flats can make a good man curse, but so can electrical gremlins.

Drew, bench top too nice to dirty.

I asked them if I should treat it with anything, I was thinking 303 protectant, it is plastic of some sort, and they
said they thought it was pretty tough.
Plain jane formica. Any benefit by treating it
with anything before I start piling things on it?

but otherwise, yeah, time to drag some dirty bins on it and break it in.
It's a potting shed, needs a pot on that counter, or two.

The saga continues. I took my front tires / wheels into the shop this morning. The owner was out so, while they were mounting the new front tires, I asked the lady who runs the counter how soon they could get new tires for my rear wheels? All were new in 2/14.

Fronts are Carlisle AT 27x9-12 and rears are Carlisle AT 27x11-12.

She checked the system and said she could not find that size, in same Carlisle AT tire as the front. Whuuu? I don't want different tires from and rear!

So now ..... they're getting me a complete set, front / rear, in Carlisle "Versa Trail" tire which are a new line as I understand. But now I am unable to use ...... the most used vehicle on the ranch, for another day. Groan!

I feel your pain. Our RTV is hands down the most used vehicle by far here too. I had a saga a few weeks ago with a tire. Ended up ordering from Amazon of all places. I just needed one and they seemed to have it.

Hope you get yours on the farm back in operations soonest.
