Gravy on biscuits ..... chipped beef and sausage ...... both good!

We call it ........ biscuits n' gravy.

Everyone in the south calls it biscuits and gravy! :D I love them with some scrambled eggs. But I rarely eat all that heavy stuff for breakfast.
My normal breakfast is one egg, sometimes scrambled with cheese, sometimes fried, two slices of toast and two slices of microwave bacon, 30 seconds and it痴 crispy. That痴 it.

81 now, should be about the high, overcast with spotty sun, and occasional quick showers, nice spring day.
Went to see mom, took her a birthday card, tomorrow is her 96th.

Put the sprayer on the tractor yesterday, time to start battling the weeds.
Have a good day gents. Prayers to all.

After 12 yrs, could use new blades on my riding mower. The RFM is around 20 yrs old with original blades. I sharpen once a year, if they need it or not.

Went to costco after lunch, looked at air fryer but didnt get one. 5 qt for $60.

Ate at TGIF, tried cracker barrel, but huge line. Every TGIF i go in, it just stinks inside. It's like they mop the floors with spilled beer. Food was good.

Roy, the pub looked nice, like to eat at local places like that.

Ok .... we've established that French fries and gravy are great! Now ..... which gravy?

Brown Gravy?

Brown Gravy w/ Cheese Curds (Poutine)?

Country Gravy?

Red Gravy (ketchup)?

Cheese Sauce?

BBQ Sauce?

Actually I like'em all, but my preference on French fries is the Country Gravy, also known in some places as white gravy or milk gravy.

There used to be a very popular restaurant on Harry Hines Blvd in Dallas that was called the (Something) Biscuit. I can't remember the first word of the name. And a plate of two of their biscuits with gravy made a good meal with nothing else to go with it, and it seems that was what most of us ordered for breakfast there.

RNG- Thanks for the chuckle. My exSIL was/is a "Big City" woman. In what was probably her first and only outside "in the woods:eek:" bladder event she discovered that poison ivy should not be squatted in nor used for personal care afterwards.

My breakfasts when eaten are pretty healthy. Lately my food choices after breakfast have not been as health conscious.

I was able to walk the lower field (.4 mile) and handled the slope pretty well w/o Brogen. Wifey had some challenges walking him initially until I switched his leash to the chokecollar. No problems after that. I'll try him out tomorrow in the rain. Wifey does not walk in inclement weather. It will be awhile before I take on the upper .4 mile path with its increased slope, bare rock ledge, downed trees, and soft ground in the wet areas..

I do not know why, but on a whim I toggled the ignition switch on my JD D130 rider mower and it sputtered and then started right up. A pleasant surprise. It would not start for me last Fall even with a charger/starter. Maybe the mouse nest under the engine cowling reconnected the wiring harness? 3 out of 4 tires are flat. They are all bad. They've been "slimed" for the last time. This week I'll start the process of replacing all 4. After reading the posts here I'll buy locally rather than order from the internet. This will be my first solo outing w/o supervision since January. No green grass here yet. The rock maples are now budding. There is still a little ice in the most shaded places.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day.

Jay, glad your mower started, three flats, now that's depressing, but thankfully my tractor was not, started right up. I made sure the rear camera system was turned off manually first, wonder if they installed that properly. Everything else is stock and no loose connections.

After picking twenty five pounds of collards, the mowed a lot of roadsides today, fun being out, sitting down comfortably, with noise cancelling headphones making background noise
remarkably low, plus I could hear the radio through it. Just seemed to filter out the din. Sure worth 70 bucks. Very different than my regular hearing protectors.

Shower and shave late today sure felt good, lot of outdoors on me.
even came home to find out I have a date on Friday night across the street at retired neighbors, meeting
a local nurse. At least I don't have far to flee...:D

More storms headed in tonight. Will make mowing lawn tomorrow less dusty, works for me.
