so Don surprises us all and gets a snazzy rocket sled for his wife. It's a South Korean Audi with way more power. From all the articles Don I think you are going to like it a lot. Very highly rated car.

I punched it passing on Hwy 195 this afternoon and my wife was thrown to the back of her seat when the turbo kicked in. She said WOW!

Thanks, its a hatch back and the seats fold down so there is plenty room for Whipper or a Saint Bernard or two. With the seats up it has as much back seat room as the Mazda and a bit less than the Rav4.

Nice looking car Don! Wifey said "that's pretty"! Do they have the "prepaid speeding ticket" option?

How is the orchard doing? Any more progress on the house?

I have been delayed by life. But, i am living 15 minutes les from the Orchard now. I have a contract on my house to sell and I will be restarting the building process soon. I am also trying to get a barn built. The cost from first estimates was prohibitive. I have been getting creative and I am sure we will come up with a solution. The barn will allow me to store my tools and building materials out of the weather and stage some of the work and even get work done in bad weather. I feel that it is almost essential to get the barn put up. I will have to pay for it either way.

Almost forgot. The Orchard is doing very well. Two more years and we will be dripping in fruit. IMG_2688.JPG

I was looking for one the same price as the Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4.
Randy, what do you put on the cars at a car show to make them shine?
This one does not ave the $599 paint protection package the Toyota port dealer added and expected you to pay smiling.

Ron, the color is panthera metal.

Most of what we use on cars at the show is some sort of Final Touch type, wipe and shine. It won稚 hold up long on a daily driver. On my KIA Borrego I use any one of several premium clear coat waxes and wipe it between wax jobs with Mirror Glaze.

((I still have my F150 (and trailer) for the dirty country work.))

Two-shay!

Although???

Good evening all. 64 F for the start, a few stray clouds, windy. Sky unchanged all day, wind increase forecast for 40+ gusts and it wasn't far off. High temp reached 87F. The forecast for next few days is being revised cooler, may need warmers while bike riding. Day started with Men's meeting, bike ride to try and beat the worst of the wind, nap and trip to town to watch Medal of Honor arrival parade. estimated 550 motorcycles, mostly patriot guard, plus buses for Medal of honor recipients and various law enforcement vehicles about 15 minute to pass by
Don, looks to be a nice car, hope you both are happy with it.
Ron, the looked like Scooter's girl friend (dog we dogsit for stepdaughter)
Rich good luck on your trip to fix equipment.
Prayers for all.

We had a great start to the day...even had our first hummingbird of the year come in to the feeder.

Then we lost water early this afternoon. I would have looked into troubleshooting it, but was working to complete my in-law's taxes before my wife goes to visit them tomorrow. The regular plumber never called back for 3 hours and then finally said he couldn't come...so I called our HVAC company, that also does plumbing, and they said a plumber would come tonight after he finished his current job. He just got here a half hour ago (10pm) and it looks like just a pressure switch. Sure is nice to have a company that willing to help.

Hope Kalani gets well soon.

Real sharp looking car, Don. I know you'll enjoy.

Well, back under the house I go.

I thought you were looking at SUVs, Don. That looks more like a race car? Also looks like a lot of fun to drive, as long as you can get in and out of it easily ;)

But at the end of the day, as long as the misses is happy, everybody's happy, right?

24 right now...high in the upper 40's and sunny, so it will be drying up after two days of rain.

Nice lookin' KIA!!

Our mornings are getting colder, -4C/24F last night.
I'm not complaining, it gives me the perfect excuse to put off hand mixing concrete for the next few days.

Pretty blossom WCD, lots of promise in that picture.

David, Kalani sounds to be a smart dog. Can an old dog teach new tricks ? If so Kekoa can look forward to some special treats too in the future :)

The food tip at our house is never to try the salmon skin canape - that's where Max's wormer will be hidden.

yup, the combo of 365 boosted horsepower and a not SUV heavy vehicle makes for an easy
passing car. Very similar acceleration stats to my old Jaguar's supercharger whine.
The Stinger is called a GT for honest reasons, it is, and comes with a true fun pedal plus gets good mileage.
It's light years more sophisticated than most US comparable products.
The South Koreans make very good cars, eating Japan's lunch I'd say.

In fact, you will almost look for opportunities on a two lane.
Straight two lane, car ahead doing 50 in a 55, dawdling or on the phone,
the opening shows nothing for half a mile,
turn signal on and turn on the fun.

And if while doing that someone turns on the road unexpected, you have a very good
handling car to drive out of harm's way.
You just won't be hauling hutches with it, that's for the truck.
Glad you got something fun.
Welcome to AI in a car. If the nav takes voice commands, have fun with that.
Cancel.
Canso Street?

Up with first cup of half decaf half regular New England coffee blend, and it's good.
Found that Walmart had decent coffee at great prices. No surprise. Supermarket or Walmart, all I've got.
Slim pickins at times.

four trays of peppers to plant at first light but before that I work in the greenhouse planting okra seeds.
Okra goes in ground in May, hot weather plant.
Then back to work on the lawn. It's finally coming in.
Last Fall didn't seem that long ago...short winters here.

It's clear Kalani gets the finest treatment a dog could get and has a loving
whiskered friend. It's a true dog's life, and unfortunately dogs don't live very long.
So a lot of friends get buried. I have dog graves here on my property from prior owner, way off to side under trees, one has a marble
top with a picture of the German shepherd on it. A little odd, but I tend it with respect.

new meds sure have kept me on boost. Plus complete clarity and focus.
I can sleep later, or as my coffee mug says, Sleep is Highly Overrated.
Except I slept hard for six hours and now ready to go.
Am sure it will catch up with me. Mostly in my legs from being on my feet too long.
But planting time is great fun, no hardship here, doing what I want.

Hope you all have a fine day.
