Kyle, we have the cheapest 'french door' refer you could buy, it's an Amana 21cf, identical to the frigidare model. Cost around $1100. Wifey loves it. We have had it about 7 years now, no problems. We just bought an LG 20 cf top freezer for the new cottage home. Got it at Home Depot for around $900 on sale. Haven't plugged it in (house not ready) but it has a 6 year compressor warranty.

Think my samsung fridge is 2 yrs now, love it, esp. Freezer on bottom and french doors.
People complained it was noisy, but havent noticed anything unusual.

Good evening all. 50F for the start, trace of rain, overcast, breezy. Today was flat out windy 20-35mph, clear off in the afternoon, high temp of 66F. Canceled planned ride due to wind, group went anyway, they apparently struggled with the wind. Did get the batteries in the boat, looks like I have a defective charger, 1 of the trolling motor batteries is still charging, the other shows charged and the batteries were within .05 volts at the start. Back to the dealer. Hopefully get a bike ride tomorrow.
Nice snow pics Lynn, how is the house working?
Don I don't have a place to store the tractor or a place to use it so no competition from me
Rich I tried a chocolate stout once and it was different, bet the raspberries added some flavor :drink:
Dump run, that sounds different:confused2::eek:
All you guys need to get serious about healing up, summers coming!:D
prayers for all.

Kyle, last year I got us a Whirlpool 18 cubic foot ALL refrigerator. There is no freezer in it. So far it has done a good job of keeping food cold. I think I paid about 2 grand Canadian for it.
I was guessing youz guys could just go cut a block of ice out back, don'cha know? :)

Good evening, 45 right now and supposed to get near 53 overnight. Supposed to be heavy rain later, then high winds overnight and all day tomorrow. Lots of weather warnings out right now.

Sitting here enjoying one of my home brews. A stout with raspberries and chocolate. Came out well!

Picked up some odds and ends for the cargo trailer I am converting into a toy hauler/camper. Time to upgrade. I have out grown the 6X10 for some time, but it still works. 7X16 should be a nice upgrade. Though the old one may take us racing in FL & GA in a few weeks. The motorhome/toy hauler has issues.....

I hope the best for farmerç—´ cousin. 2 friends are dealing with lung cancer. So kind of tough news.

Everyone have a good evening
That grog sounds yummy. Did the raspberry taste come through good?

Bups, I promise not to gripe, unless you recommend one of those crazy high dollar models.... :)

I did see a kitchen aide online that was close to $9000. Said it pulled the ethylene gas out of some fruits to keep them fresh??? IIRC?

Man, if the fruit is bad, chunk it.

That would only work in the winter time, but how would I keep the penguins from eating all my grub? Summer temps get upwards of 90-100°F.

Temp right now is 28°F and we are supposed to get up to 41F. Wind E 25 mph. Rain or freezing rain so they say. Weather underground says that too.

I have some snow to move today, so I will get that done.

Have a good day all

Good morning! 45 and dark. We had a French door with bottom freezer but now we have the side by side which I like better. The seal between the doors kept splitting on the French door model and the freezer contents are easier to see now.

Lynne has the best pictures I've seen on this site. Reminds me of travel magazines.
Uh Lynne, bet you slowed down a bit after your little tree scraping incident. You are an experienced rider,
what caused that? Was it on a curve? Good thing you jumped...and very glad you took a lickin and kept on tickin.
I had an early gen Yamaha snowmobile more than 20 years ago, what fun to use in the Catskills, but then it seems the snow stopped
and an ATV was a better solution to climb the mile long dirt road up a mountain to my friend's off the grid cabin. Did that for almost 40 years. I think I had the first snowmobile with hand warmers. Now they probably have wifi.

Speaking of wifi, buckeye does your Samsung talk to you? Make cheery little ding dings when you open the door?
My wife and I learned to seriously dislike our Samsung washer and dryer because we could not shut off the canned music.
Clearly getting something we had no desire for, as builders try to out-option the competition.
Perhaps I should dial in and see if my refrigerator is happy. I'm OK, you're OK?.....:D

It is a misty start to Sunday, can't see much further than the end of the garden.

With no rush to get outside this morning I have been searching through tbn for inspiration on building a box grader/ land plane. A grader has been on my implement wish list for several years and now my scrap pile has received a boost from this pallet load, I reckon I have accumulated enough steel to make a start.

CWB, plan C. As someone with more patience than skill, I can easily get to plan K before my repairs stand a chance.

Nice snow shots Cat.

LS, incredible pictures of your brown snow topping. The shovel pic makes it look like a giant helping of tiramisu. :)

46, dense fog, going up to a very warm 73 today with more showers this morning.
Then, finally, two days with no rain and sunshine. Have a new helper coming on Tuesday, chef at Country Club needing
to earn more money, getting married next month, well muscled black man who weighs about twice what my Hispanic helper weighs.
Going to find some heavy lifting for him...like moving firewood piles, rototilling with the little rototiller that shakes me to death.
Hope he works out. I start at 15 an hour and if they can work unsupervised and are good/productive at what they do, I give them a raise above that after a few months. More than they can make elsewhere. Will be interesting to see if this cook comes back after a hard days' work here. Many of them haven't...sign of the times.
