Welcome back Jay.
PJ, I surely do wish you the best of luck dealing with the situation. It's hard to have a past history like that and be able to logically justify doing it again, but on the other hand, once that motherly instinct kicks in....well it's just better to just give in...I hope you find an amicable solution.

The only amicable solution at this point is to just let it happen. I understand the motherly instinct thing is at play here. But, ... well, not going to get into that here.
The wheels (literally and figuratively) are already rolling. She found a 2018 Niro on the dealer's lot today that she likes, struck a nice deal even without a trade, and is picking it up tomorrow or Friday.

Nice looking vehicle. Are they available in AWD?
Welcome back, Jay.
Don, I like your "Texas 12 Days."
I thought I got a good deal at the Sunoco on Monday - gas for $1.93...but heard on the radio that the lowest price in the nation is at the Buccees (sp?) in Denton...Bird, isn't that near you? Is that the station with so many pumps?
Home from surgery. Reported as "nothing earth-shattering" found. Meniscus had degraded some, they removed additional portions. Some tibial bone was " rough", so that was smoothed. Some "debri" was removed. The actual surgery took about an hour. I did not want to wake up from the anesthesia....way too good of a nap....haven't slept so good in the last 9 months
I think the knee is finally fixed. There is minimal pain, feels better than the entire last 6 months. Hopefully it stays this way. No weight bearing for the next 3-5 days, getting used to the crutches again. Now if I can just get myself to remain bedridden for a couple of days.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT! It really means a lot to me. Prayers out for all others needing them.
New tractors, new teeth, rebuilt knee, decorations, car, trips, congrats all.
RNG, hope you get home soon. Do you get enough rain to catch an emergency supply?
Thomas had a bear come visit the other night destroyed another bird feeder
I’m afraid your winter will be filled with heavy wet snow
Yep, that Bucee's is about 5 miles north of me. But 4 days ago, I filled one car with gas at Sam's Club, about 10 miles north of me for $1.919, and 3 days ago I filled the other car at a QuikTrip about 2 miles south of me for $1.919. And the Walmart about 2 miles south of me in Hickory Creek bulldozed their gas pumps and all associated construction a few months ago, and I noticed this morning that the new facility is now open and gas was $1.839 this morning. It has seemed to me that Bucee's has almost traditionally had the cheapest gas, but apparently the other places in the area have taken up the challenge. I haven't stopped by Bucee's in the last couple of weeks, so I'm not sure what their gas prices are now.
